A statement from iov leaders:
First off, I would like to thank Team Liquid for allowing us to give this statement. I want to make sure the SC2 community knows that eGGy is no longer apart of the Icons of Vanity organization. We are just getting into the SC2 scene and wanted some kind of exposure about the merge that what going on. A post was going to be made by me or Jordan the SC2 manager but eGGy went on and decided to do it himself without anyones approval. I can't say much more but hope that this will be forgotten. I just wanted to address the current issues with this announcement for Icons of Vanity. First off, I want to deeply apologize to the community for Eggy’s words and actions. He did something without my permission and also disgraced the division of StarCraft which I run. I just want to make sure the community knows that he is no longer within our organization. I also want to thank the ones in the community that has given us their support and I hope we will not disappoint you guys! Thank you for taking your time to reading this, Jordan ‘WakanakaTaka’ Tang.

There is no doubt in my mind that all of our players can beat anyone out there right now, we just need to train them to beat them consistently."Staying over from Icons of Vanity we have Ember IncOgnitO EggYAs of now, Sebastian "Eggy" Swierad will be appoointed Head Coach for the team. With his experience in competitive gaming for over 10 years, having 3 NA Masters account an 1 KR masters accounts he knows the in's and outs on how to raise stamina, stay calm, and how to improve the fastest most effective way. When asked how he will help the team he said "We're going to implement a lot of Korean style training and methods. A "in-team" ladder system will just be the first step."
Icons of Vanity CEO Samuel Portillo stated "We've been looking for the right team to pick up to help out our organization. What made Metgagaming stand out of the others were there dedication to the game. Each players dedicated most of his day to this game and that is exactly what we are looking for. Good players that want to become the best, and I believe we Icons of Vanity is a perfect training ground for that. We know that StarCraft 2 is the future of E-Sports and we are willing to invest heavily into it."

Axellerate has a vendetta after me because I embarrassed him in real life(we were friends for 6 years)

I actually have played one of them before... I kinda think that you guys are getting a little ahead of yourselves by forming a pro gaming team...
Even a group of grandmasters may just create a competitive clan rather than a team that seriously wants to market their team as a brand name.
Being Master or even tip top tier Masters is not enough to justify a team to go professional. even low GM players aren't pros.

Jeez maybe their just trying to fulfill their own egos by doing this... The real actual pros are so far damn ahead that .. god cmon its common sense that to be pro you already need to be getting top results in semi pro tourneys or something.
Furthermore you need to be able to compete against the pros at major tournaments. Otherwise you're just that GrandMaster no name player that gets knocked out in the Open Bracket by some guy in oGs or slayers with no affiliation with an established team.

To be fair, saying "they have beaten players like HuK and RuFF" doesn't add to your credibility T_T. It just makes it sound like they don't have any accomplishments. I've done both as well, but I'm not anyone special (well, it was actually HerO playing on Huk's account supposedly when he was still on liquid).

Hey guys, I feel that you should be kinder to teams like this. Why? Cause it helps eSports grow.
Think about it this way. This is a team that has some sort of funding or some way to support themselves and is trying to grow. We should support every single person that is trying to make a breakthrough to the professional scene, and not shoot them down with "I haven't heard of you" or "you're not good enough". Cause they are obviously trying to get their name out there and form an atmosphere where they can practise and work on Starcraft enough so that they can really approach that highest level of play.
Think of it yourselves. If you were on a team that had a sliver of a chance to go pro, wouldn't you be ecstatic? I sure would, and I'm super proud/happy for this team to be taking a brave step foreword. They are trying to breakthrough, and I wish that they do. Why? Cause if they do, that's one more team to cheer for, one more group of players to know, and it expands the world of eSports just a little bit more.
Keep it up Icons of Vanity/MetaGaming. I really do wish the best for you guys, and that more teams like you tries to get a breakthrough!

the only1 that i know is dReam aka Exotica aka tqDanny , preetty good protoss , and i seen thunder played he does wierd strats so he is not bad gl gl with the new merge

No one has really been super negative in this thread so far and blind support isn't really sustainable if you're talking about "growing ESPORTS". Just let people react how they want, without being really negative, which no one has really done so far and stuff should go well. If the players/teams are good enough to be noticed, they will be, if not, they won't be, simple as that.
Sorry for going a bit off topic, I hope these guys try hard.

I hope that in turn I have not been insulting to anyone. I guess I read too far into what people were saying, but I feel that supporting a team that's trying isn't 'blind', as I am actively wishing that more teams get the force to go pro and expand this realm. Maybe I got too much negativity over people saying stuff like "I haven't heard of you" or "you shouldn't try this cause you're not good enough".
But at the end of the day, we both just want these guys to try hard and hey, why shouldn't we cheer for them to make it big? It'll be better for everyone.

A few things you have a few players with their names listed, others you do not seems as if you don't know their names or don't want their names listed.
can you give us an introduction about your players? maybe some videos of their playstyle? recent tournaments, maybe a local LAN they have to at least do that..

From the comments it looks like people sort of don't know your team, and right now you guys are basically on the front page of TL, so throwing stuff like links to your player's accounts (on stuff like sc2ranks, etc) maybe streams or whatever so people who are interested can look further into it?

I can say I have played several of these guys in NA / EU and I beat most of them but lost to cLsThunders 6 gate all in once or twice but hey... this means im possibly pro team material... fyi looking for a team =D

Winning ladder matches doesn't really account for anything...confused why you put that in the OP as if it made you guys sound top tier or something. Win some cups and small weekly type events and put that up there but winning games on ladder is not a huge accomplishment. Not to be rude about it but I also have not heard of any of those players before.

At face value, you are an unknown team with pretty unknown players none in GM. It would of been better if you said an aspiring SC2 professional team trying to become the best and prove ourselves. The way you came off as if you are entitled to be a Professional Organization.
Another qualm I have is you listed we "beat EGidra and VVVsomebody" but didn't say where or what. When most people name drop they do so and post a link of a replay of a good game.

You need to prioritize your investments first as SC2 is a VERY large one. If you are going to have a SC2 team at least have some videos of your players or market them heavily such as desrow does with all his showmatches.

Kamikiri is GM and I beleive dReam also is.

I don't really see the point of announcements like this (has happened more lately) when none of the players have produced any kind of result yet. Noone knows these guys so until they actually start performing it's pretty useless.

How can you give achievements for players that are either not on your team or not moving over to the other organization? That is quite redundant and pointless to do honestly and could give off a bad image for your organization to start off with. The only one on that entire list that I see is Eggy/Shade/Insomniac (despite the fact I've never and most likely no one else has heard of him).
Either way, good luck hope all of the unknown players do something down the road!

Do not post achievements of people who are no longer on the team...Example: TeamLiquid won't go around talking about HuK's accomplishments after he left the team as if they were theirs too.
I guess you removed all of the random "X beat Y progamer and Z progamer on ladder!" which is a start but you should have waited till you actually had some results before even considering announcing you guys are gonna take down MLG, NASL, IPL
Keep your goals on an actual Real level for the time being and when one of your players takes down MKP or Alicia or someone in the open brackets at MLG "THEN" you can post all of the hype!
