People get pissed off when you say their game is not the best. What else is new? You talk to League players and all they talk about is how sc2 is all about clicking fast and teamplay is pretty much irrelevant. Then you talked to Sc2 players and they complain about how League is too easy because you only control one unit and there's no mechanical difficulty. I started playing SCBW in 2004 as a middle schooler when BW was at its (arguable) height of popularity. When Sc2 first came out my opinion was that of the rest of the old school BW players. That was that sc2 sucked because the mechanical difficulty was nothing compared to BW. I eventually learned to like SC2 but it never kindled a fire in my heart in the way that BW did. When I switched to league as my primary game I felt that spark come back and I took a look back at all of those forum posts I made about SC2 being an "inferior game" to BW and I felt bad for all the things I said. This was because I looked back on TL and saw the same things being said about League when being compared to sc2. The fact is that I left sc2 because it didn't live up to the expectation that I had from BW. In my eyes sc2 is not a good game. It took me a while to realize that, but when I realized that I just didn't like the game, it kind of set me free to explore other games. Does this mean that my view applies to everyone? Absolutely not. Some people might think League of Legends is terrible, but what people don't understand is that IT'S MY OPINION AND BY NO MEANS IS IT OBJECTIVE. What SHOULD NOT do however is talk shit about a game that you've never played. I've had extensive experience with SCBW, Warcraft 3 ,sc2 , Dota, Dota Allstars, Dota 2, Heroes of Newerth, and League of Legends. I can say through experience that my opinion is that Wings of Liberty was a bad game. I hope that HOtS will rekindle my fire for sc2 and I honestly hope to god that it does. I miss my little zerglings. | ||
