Afaik as long as apdo doesn't get into trouble again he'll be allowed to play in OGN next year. Whether he wants to is up to him considering that he reportedly makes more money eloboosting than he would in OGN.

At the end of the day it probably is in riot's best interest to ban particularly poorly behaved pros. But only when it goes public though hence why haydal and shacker roam free still.

Of course Riot doesnt ban NiP from paying salaries, because that is NiP's money. Riot bans them from playing in Riot's tournaments. They could as well ban them from League overall of course.
And indeed many people stop playing the game or do not even really get into it because of bad behavior and verbal abuse by team mates. That you dont care about it doest change the fact that it is a real world issue that costs Riot a lot of potential customers. And no Riot does not run League for charity. #freetoplaymodel

Riot is retarded. Nuke should never been alow to play LCS in first place. Last year he was way more toxic and trolled every single game he didn't get mid. Same goes for many others like Hosan (first pro ever banned), Shacker etc.
This is obvious PR ban for whole custom game screenshot with racist comments. If he was breaking rules why his account was never banned then?

I remember hosan, vander had to stand in for elohell at S2 regionals because hosan got banned. Still went on to qualify for LCS anyway.

Then those people should stop playing the games, if they're getting offended by everything, starting from "bg, easy" and finishing by cancer and deaths wishes.
Honestly, you play for yourself, not to listen how everyone is speaking around you. Just move on. If you want to play soccer, you will play soccer, even if everyone says that you're bad, go away. You will come next day back and play again until the point when you become better and occassionally, good.

Because Riot is very lenient with players overall. A lot has to happen before they actually ban an account. For playing in LCS the standards are a little higher, although still pretty low imo.

I still hold the same stance on these type of bans like I did when IWD was banned. If Riot got in contact with Nukeduck and Mithy and told them "hey get your shit together or we're gonna ban you," I'm fine with it, but if they didn't actually warn them then not so much. If the threat of a ban isn't going to make them act better in game, nothing will, but I think they should at least get direct warning. Nukeduck's tweet makes it seem like that wasn't the case, but of course that's only half the story.

If i was someone watching games only, i would sure adapt this skill> everything motto. But such people hurt the experience and enjoyment of playing the GAME. RIOT is smart and understands that the damage done outweighs the gains. Plus its a good example for everyone, you punish a few well known people and make a paradigm for the masses.

Also they are meant to have a system in place to deal with this kind of behaviour. Since neither party seems to have been punished in the LoL client itself it seems a bit unreasonable to have this external punishment. It's basically saying to every other toxic player that they can continue to be toxic as long as you aren't playing LCS. A bit of a double standard in my books. All these types of players should be punished ingame

The issue is it isn't making a paradigm to anyone. These players haven't had their accounts banned and have merely been banned from CS. The masses don't play in CS or LCS so it's meaningless to them.

Thing is that Nukeduck and Mithy had been fined for 500 USD around March and now they get banned from CS. They need to fix their behavior that's for sure.

I feel if their behavior is that bad they should have been permabanned in League already and you can't play in CS/LCS with a banned account. Then the public statement would be that they can't play in CS because they got banned for being toxic. Instead they are so incredibly toxic their accounts aren't banned and are merely stopped from playing CS?
I do agree that these kinds of flamers should be punished though. Just shows the state of the EUW servers where you can be as toxic as you like as long as you aren't in CS/LCS.

Yeah they could not have gotten a more obvious warning. They did not improve their behaviour afterwards, so the punishment was escalated. Really perfectly logical and expectable.
