While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people.

Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned!
- Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM
- Comparing people to Hitler
- Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

I'm sure that's a massive loss lol

Yep, we where just in the top 5 countries to support MLG.

I've read one swede who doesn't support what Naniwa did. The rest of you rallying behind him because of nationalism is a bad joke. If an australian did this, I'd be ashamed of him, not talking about boycotting a tournament. Get some perspective.

With a 1-12 record in GSL, they could just have waited for him to lose quickly again

If you don't buy a pass I don't think they honestly really care. They're business first is in Korea. If they didn't do anything they lost their main target audience in Koreans and them not buying passes. They lose either way and they went on their own morals of respect and professionalism as their culture and acted on it. You may not like it but the majority of Korea and GOM do.

I'm perfectly fine with what would be completely normal and expected from KeSPA. It's only a matter of time before they enter the scene anyway.

Well, I guess you can't be surprised it happened. Korea is pretty strict about these things, sigh this is why its bad to not have very good social skills. I really was hoping for Naniwa to do well.

GOM seriously needs to take some fault for putting naniwa in the position he was in.

Its pretty sad that people are actually not going to buy next season of GOM because of Naniwa being out, its their organization and their decision to make. They can choose what players to invite and who to ban. Its like similar to what Artosis said about caster bashing, players need to be punished via bans from leagues if they do these sort of things.

Not taking the biggest bestes esports show aka the GSL seriously and pulling that shit is disrespectful to the tournament, disrespectful to the studio, and the audience who flew out to see GSL live in person. The decision is not too harsh. Those people saying "OH IM CANCELING GSL TICKET" your the ones killing esports. The fact that one person gets banned from a tourament or loses there free seed shouldnt deter you from some of the best starcraft in the world... Whos to say naniwa would of made it past round 1? The fact is he did somehting that they saw as disrespectful. He could of just 1gate zealot all in rushed to make it seem more legit. But Seeing as he let his emotions get the best of him. I would feel that after this he would of learned his lesson big time.

that seems far, far too harsh to me. No warning, no minor punishment for first offense... Definitely detracts for me buying GSL in the future...

Losing his seed is pretty harsh.

I think they should've just demoted him to the Up/Down, swapping places with Idra.

However, it's understandable. What he did was very unprofessional, and his conduct has been unprofessional at dozens of tournaments now. It was about time that Naniwa actually suffered a penalty for it all. It's the only way to teach him to behave.

People paid to see "the best" and got IM's B-roster instead, that's what the comparison is about. And unless it's in any contract that you have to play your absolute best in absolutely every match, NaNiWa shouldn't be punished like that.

There was no way he wasn't going to be.

You don't make a fool of yourself and the people hosting the tournament you're playing in and expect to be able to keep your spot.

This isn't some second class league begging for people to come play in it, this is the GSL and there's a line out the door of professionals who want a shot at Code S. Naniwa doesn't deserve special treatment.

I'm happy Sen got the spot, I can't wait to see how he does.
