On one hand, I can understand where he was coming from, as going 0-3 is going to put you on tilt and at that point you just might not care. On the other, you have fans, sponsors, and everyone else to answer to as a progamer, and that just looks terrible to them. If he is willing to change, I'm all for it. But if not...

Every tournament as its own format and when you register for a specific tournament you have to know what the format is right? By accepting an invitation you have to play every game the format makes you play. If you don't agree with that then don't register... every game has to be play no matter if it's meaningless for you and your opponent. The thing is everyone will remember this particular game as if it's the only one Naniwa played and you can't blame them for that. With that kind of behaviour (and stop the "if Idra'ld have done that everyone would have loved him..." it's bullshit, nobody would love someone probe/drone rushing in a tournament game except Naniwa's fans) we all see a bitter Naniwa who thought he was gonna stomp his group and prouve to the world he's the best player in the world but get stomp himself and fall from his dream. And even if it's not the reality it's how people look at him right now because of ONE very poor decision. Meaningless games are games nontheless and it's not because you're not in the mental state to play your A-game that you have any right on what the tournament you registered in ask you to do. You've checked in, you need to commit yourself to the people who spend times to potentially give you cash and fame. It's a job, sometimes there is no fun doing what it require but that's it, you need to do it. Naniwa said that if it could be undone he wouldn't have probe rushing. Please, if you're a Naniwa fan, stop saying the decision he made was the right one, it's not and Naniwa agree with that. Naniwa hurt himself pretty badly and needs support to recover from that but please do not encourage a behaviour hurting your favorite player whoever he is. I seriously doubt that anyone is going through mental anguish about this except for SC fans... I mean, really. It was an entirely meaningless game. Everyone wants lip service and they're mad because someone didn't want to give it to them. I don't think he really made the wrong decision. Maybe he did if you are going to blame him for not knowing what the fans reactions would be... but I don't blame a person for what other people are doing.

I paid money to watch a competition, why are they wasting my time with games that are not competitive, where the players pretend to care? If you want to pay money to not watch games, I can assuredly arrange that for you. How about the very humble price of 10 dollars to not watch over fifty thousand games by the very best players in the world?

The only reason we don't have much bullshit with him anymore is because he is not playing in any truly regular leagues so he just shows up to some tourneys...

Just stick with 4 in a group and the same format as the GSL, all the matches matter and all the players try their absolute best.

He trained for the competition. He did NOT just train for NaNi... We also cannot say Nestea was going all out for the game, he was just denied a game

I am neutral about GomTV making such a strict stance but I can see why they do that. They need to drive a point that you can't screw around when people expect you to do a proper match regardless.
