Oh god not this again.. Please clarify your definition of bonjwa before a shitstorm starts..
As far as I can recall, Leenock has never performed well in GSL, probably cause he still has to go to school and lacked sufficient practice. I remember his decision making was not the greatest compared to other zergs like Losira/Nestea/zenio back then..
He's definitely a good up and coming player, but nowhere near achieving bonjwa status..

I'll quote what Flue said about bonjwa status:
On November 28 2011 22:12 FLuE wrote: That was a pretty bonjwa series between bonjwa MVP and bonjwa Leenock. A win like that could elevate Leenock to super bonjwa status, gotta love his bonjwa momentum going into this finals. All in all, today was a pretty bonjwa day of SC2. I can't help but feel the finals will not be as bonjwa... but maybe we'll get lucky and finally get a Code S bonjwa level finals for once that will go 7 bonjwa games.

Ths is too early. Winning two tournaments, even if one is the GSL (which he hasn't done yet) is significant but does not make someone a bonjwa. I need to see long term domination of the scene nestea or mvp esqu

Cute thread.

Stop molesting the B word please. She's already in a fragile emotional state after being touched multiple times and just wants to be left alone.

Came in ready to yell, realized must be a troll thread...
Right?

Seriously, I expected MVP to win and take the finals over jjaki. Then I would say MVP was the Bonjwa. But no.
Incontrol is the Bonjwa.

On November 30 2011 11:34 SpunXtain wrote:+ Show Spoiler +With his win at MLG providence and his destined win on Saturday against Jjakji, Leenock will have won two major tournaments in the space of two weeks.
This qualifies him for recognition as one of the first SC2 Bonjwas after Nestea, MC, MMA and MVP, as his skills are above those of anyone else in both the Korean and Foreign scenes.
Furthermore, Leenock will not only be one of the first SC2 bonjwas, but also the first SC or SC2 bonjwa that is an octopus. This is where his nickname "Leenocktopus" has come from, which is an amalgamation of the words Leenock and Octopus, hence Leenocktopus.
This thread serves as a discussion about Leenock's rise to the top of the SC2 scene. I encourge people to share their thoughts on this idea as well as any fond memories they have of Leenock in his recent games.
Thankyou. Edit: It has been brought to my attention that Leenock is not a bonjwa. Thankyou.
You're a fucking moron

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm, or just not informed

I think what he meant by first good player in SC2 is that Leenock is not the first good player, but a good player.
