Huk & Ret with another European and a Korean thrown in? That would be enormous for EG.
Hmm, Huk and Ret, would make sense why TL suddenly acquires a Zerg (sheth) and Protoss (Hero) so recently after long stating that they were not seeking additional players...That would make me reallly sad, though, seeing as how they seem to be the two that have been riding liquid out of its slump.
Funny thing is, though, those two are also probably the two that I haven't been as much of a fan of among all the liquid players. Dunno why.

IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT DAMMNIT.
Rekrul's theory could be a possibility; but I really do severely doubt HuK would leave Liquid. The only incentive I could see them offering is more money and I doubt after all this time at Liquid, all the bonds and friendships formed; and great results he's achieved for himself and Liquid would be disregarded for money. Honestly? As his friends, they'd probably understand. Money is money, and it's not like they would no longer be friends. What the fuck does "money is money" supposed to mean? If you're supported by your team and live comfortably, ditching them for more is greedy and a dick move. Simple as that. If you give a mouse a cookie. I dunno what you mean? What's wrong with wanting more money. Most people are trying to obtain more. HuK, I'm sure, has material desires. You can say friendship outweighs that, but I think the damage to friendship would be pretty minimal. It's not about burning bridges, or being idealistic, or any of that shit. It's about building upon and maintaining an identity within a team, and growing that relationship over many years. For people who hop and hop around like bug-eyed cash dolls, no stop is their last. How then are we the audience and fans supposed to recognize or put stock in the sanctity of what the concept of the team is meant to engender? It just becomes some meaningless tag, implying nothing. EGidra? LiquidHuk? FXOQxc? Who cares? It'll all probably change again in 6 months. The scene settles when it should. Even in Korea when a contract was up players moved teams for what? More money! Football, Basketball, Baseball, Those who are top dogs in their individual workplace. The issue here is that you can post this now because you don't have the decision yourself, but if you did, you would most likely take the most money as long as it was a big enough increase. All in all I don't know what the announcement is, but your idealism amuses me enough I want to read all your previous posts "The scene settles when it should". That's like saying the market regulates itself (ROfL). And again, it's not idealism, it's just having principles that make sense. Don't presume to know what I'd do given an if/then.
Not saying it like in the case of a stock market. The teams for Korea are much more stable even through they're not entirely stable because Starcraft has been BIG in Korea for much longer. When the US/EU have large and steady well sponsored teams it will settle, but for now this stuff will happen.
As far as my presuming about what you would do, it is realistic that almost 99% of people would make that move. Stating that loyalty to X should outweigh Y amount of money realistically just doesn't happen.
Now, as far as this hypothetical move to EG is concerned I would guess that TL has Huk under contract, so this move would be with their consent. Even beyond that TL would most likely be compensated for the move even though as far as team TL is concerned the who team aspect seems lost and even though Huk is friends with the players, what team practice is there unless you count Jinro + Ogs?

unfortunately this is probably correct. he was signed not too long ago as well, and I doubt FXO signs less than 1 year contracts.
Again though, just as in talking about White-Ra, contracts can be bought or bought-out of. Also, QXC was aplnning to go back to school, maybe his contract was us at that time...and maybe he changed his mind?

The bad news is probably tyler retiring as a player.

that's something I had wondered about-- but I think his recent difficulty is more likely potentially related to him being absolutely pissed/depressed at what's going down with the team.

you're choosing to believe in a saccharinely naive romanticism of esports
cs 1.6 is a game based around team dynamics, yet it is common to see multiple players swapped and traded multiple times in the middle of a season top players being traded around in cs 1.6 resulted in excitement and speculation, instead of arrogant, pessimistic bickering. it was all about the competition, not about the drama.

Huk & Ret with another European and a Korean thrown in? That would be enormous for EG. Yet they offer money at players who are vastly forgotten(for good reason) and at a below mediocre level, with exception of IdrA and Puma

I honestly see this coming, so see his switching to another game as he does not seem passionate for SC2 and he is really good at other games as well.

Day[9] and iNcontroL have both recently ranted/joked about horses... Have other casters/players joked about horses?
