Or is it planted evidence for some peoples entertainment?
Is there a reason huk had so many fans in the first place? It really confuses me.

That's a good theory actually. Except its a minimum of 2 games! Not 'just one more game'! Its more than that. Even if he loses both he goes to up and down. I mean its minimum of 2 games before the announcement.. The announcement ends before up&downs.. but none the less, more than 'just one more game'!

Well apparently I hadn't refreshed the page in a while :p I'm really hoping its not EGHuK, but the evidence is stacking...

If in fact they do inquire HuK, whilst great for E-sports as a spectator this makes me kinda sad to see HuK under the EG banner, I would without a doubt root for him less and less regardless of results. While EG is a business i fully understand that, however it is the way they run their business in which i have a distaste for. With huk though at least they will have a player who has a chance to win, anything, like, anything at all, it seems its all IdrA (Puma to an extent) who have a "shot", Incontol who is just an out spoken person and not an outspoken player, and the tag along players. Just my 2 cents again probably meaningless words You echo my sentiments exactly :p.

This proves that he doesn't have any problems with joining EG. HOWEVER he also said that he's very happy in TL and couldn't imagine himself being anywhere else. That was some time ago though, so I dunno.

If you want Esports to succeed, things like this must happen. Competition between teams in this manner forces everyone to strive to improve their situation. If you indeed do think you know HuK like he is your best friend and believe there is no way he would give up his situation in Korea or in the TL-OGS practice house, then I feel sorry for you and your wishful thinking. Maybe those things are true, but they would have little bearing in the face of an actual contractual offer from a team like EG. There are a multitude of reasons I love EG and the main one is that this team above all the others is actually trying to make Esports succesful outside of Korea. Most of the posters on this forum (in my humble opinion) do not want Esports to suceed like some say, but instead want SC2 to be like BW and for their precious TL to remain the center of the international SC2 universe forever. For Esports to suceed, it MUST slowly evolve into the way other professional sports are handled and the current model certainly is nothing close. I know it must be terible to think that your favorite player might be leaving his team (something of which we are not yet certain) but honestly, are you approaching this from a selfish perspective that only allows for a SC2 world that you envision? Based on what I've read in this thread, I think some of you have to answer yes. Lastly, I love to watch good Starcraft 2, I love the game. It's highly entertaining and I believe it has the potential to become something great, players like HuK, Idra, etc do a lot torwards making that goal a reality, and I would hate to see the out of game aspects construe what has become a blossoming Esport. see the thing is, huk joining EG means a decrease in skill level, meaning less fans, meaning its hurting e-sports. You're sorta proving his point. "the senseless, baseless, and uncalled for rabble from this forum."

Some people love them for how savvy and effective they are as an organization; some people hate them because they seem like big bad company that keeps the little guy down. That being said, EG is absolutely GREAT for E-sports. They're force the community to stay ambitious and competitive.

Both the Miami Heat and the Yankees back up their "savvy and effective" organization with results. Which is why they are savvy and effective rather than incompetents with lots of money. EG must start winning to earn many people's respect.

Maybe playing in the GSTL together. Joined, there will be more than enough money to play in the gsl/gstl and na/eu tournaments.

Personally I disliked him before he joined Liquid; then he grew on me. I would attribute his starting fanbase to Liquid (also they made him stream).

Just saying that PS: I'm not really a big huk fan at all (really im not lol), but it gets on my nerves when people immediately point to the possible greed/selfishness in a decision rather than the possible actual desire of the person that isn't money
