I cant really say that I´m all that suprised however, the right wing extremists have gained a lot of wind the last year and it was pretty much just a matter of time before they start bombing and killing people. Every day it feels like the 90s are here again.

I can't believe this still is needed but religious and gun control side discussions will be met with harsh penalties from page 52 and onwards.

If anything, to further his point, he should've tried to stay anonymous and let the bomb do it's fear mongering(and skip the island). With all these terrorist groups ready and willing to take the heat for any terrorist attack, it'd have made a lot more sense. But then again, trying to make sense of madmans actions can be a waste of time :/ I'm going to say it. The guys an idiot. A well spoken, well educated idiot. But still an idiot. He's taking a stand against islamic extremism by utilising the exact same reviled terrorist practises used by his very adversaries, the things that make them so reviled in the first place. It would be like an animal rights activist torturing kittens in a protest.

But then again, trying to make sense of madmans actions can be a waste of time :/ It seems to me that he had planned this well ahead even down to the details of leaving that facebook and twitter account to be found as if it was a puzzle for us to mule over. I do wonder if he actually meant to get caught or not. The fact that he had 0 facebook friends yet still put things like skip to 1:00 on this song, a classical trance song, and all of this was done on the same day he made the twitter account and the one post on it. Another thing theres a lot of professional looking pictures, did he get these done about the same time? The white background photo and his facebook hes wearing the same clothes etc He lists CoDMW2 as an interest which has the airport scene, hunting, freemasonary, it seems too perfect, like he thought he was going to die, so we could think why did he do it and try and pin it on video games, conservitisim. The guy created a bomb to get on that island to kill those kids. No matter how i try I just cant seem to find the logic in why the kids, i guess no matter how hard we try we will never understand a physcopath like him.

- An ethnic norwegian bombed a government building in Oslo - After the bomb went off he went to an island where kinds from the youth socialist party were on summer camp. He dressed as a police officer and asked people to come join him and proceeding to summarily execute those who did. - One of our tabloids have unconfirmed from several sources this to be Anders B. Breivik (previously posted in this thread). In Oslo 7 people are reported dead and 15 wounded. On the island 10 people are reported shot and killed and more expected to be found. This is an extremely sad (and embarrasing) day for Norway. My condolences to all affected. I can also mention that the socialist party is in goverment in Norway. So this seems to be politically motivated although police have yet to confirm this. I live near Oslo and I truly love our city. This was a black day indeed... Just waiting for Day9 in 40 minutes to cheer me up! (Edit: Well poop.. going online in 34 hours.. :S)

Just waiting for Day9 in 40 minutes to cheer me up! It's not "the socialist party" but the Norwegian Labour Party. I'm 99% sure it's politically motivated, as he has been a part of FpU (youth organisation of "progress" party) and he's very conservative.

Maybe he was trying to frame Muslim extremists knowing that they'd take the blame just for notoriety? No idea, just a thought really.

Was the bomb merely a distraction to get on the island, or was his goal to kill the MP aswell? Also, how did the bomb (which was in a car?) did more damage to the upper floors than the lower floors? This part of the story is kinda foggy for me.

Human rights do not apply because in my eyes its actions made this thing inhumane. Can't really let scums like this effect our stance against human rights. This guy is surely loving the torture *certain* countries give suspected terrorists. I'm glad that Stoltenberg and the Norwegian government seem to agree with that.

If he just bombed, and then dissapeared, it would have been possible that muslim extremists would be blamed for the attack.

Well, I guess that depends on how you define the term "mental illness". The fact that he was running around shooting as many kids as possible would suggest he has some fucked up shit going on in his mind, no matter how you look at it.

LOL, just because you have a tendency to think that doesn't mean everyone else does. I have enough knowledge of homegrown terrorism to not immediately assume Islamic extremists were to blame.
