The Last Cause
The Last Cause is a Sci-Fi film we plan to shoot in the future. Before that happens, we need to finish the shortfilm (respectively the proof of concept). Therefore we need your help! Please support us to execute this ambitious project!
100% of the raised money will go to the pre-production and production of the shortfilm/proof of concept! If we exceed our budget goal, the exceeding money goes in to the pre-production of the feature film.
We're going to spend the money for equipment, cast, props, sets and a bit for living
During the production of The Last Cause we (freelancers) have no income as we've canceled all job requests to work fulltime on this project.Visit our facebook page to share ideas, suggestions or just to say hello. The page is live since 10 weeks and got awesome responses during this time. Many VFX artists contacted us who have worked on films like Avatar, Battle: L.A., 2012, Iron Man etc. to offer their help if we pass the fundraising process. Thank you so much!

What are your thoughts?
Is this the best way to raise money?
Do you think this is a project worth contributing to? (Why or why not?).
What needs to be done, so you would care for this (or similar) projects?
My personal thoughts

I think this is a really nice idea and wort contributing. (Suprise - Why would i make a thread about it otherwise
) I am just not sure if crowd sourcing is the way to go, but on the other hand, which options do you have? If you don't know some richer person or have good contacts to movie companies, you just can't realise your ideas. If you finance all by yourself and , alltough you delivered great work, you don't get recognized, you are sitting on a huge pile of debts and need years of regular work to fix your "mistake". So perhaps crowd sourcing is the best way to go... What do you think?
