Then both proceed to start building their barracks. Both take their gas and send scouting scvs synonomously. Then both continue to scout each other out while starting factories. Doggi adds a supply depot outside his base similar to kOs's first. kOs adds a supply at the cheese zone behind 7. Doggi and kOs both add a second factory. kOs lifts off on accident and lands and begins to land and looks as if he will build a vulture but adds a machine shop. Doggi has already started adding his and pumps out a vulture. Both now have their factories up and are pumping vultures. Both come out to their secondary choke. Doggi starts towards kOs's base and it pans to his base to show Doggi building a third factory. Doggi retreats when his scouting barracks sees the speed enhanced vultures. Doggi advances a little into the middle fo the map and then they skirmish just outside kOs's base in the middle near the gas expansion. kOs retreats and Doggi follows and stops just short of going into kOs's base and destroys the supply depot outside. kOs has started his expansion. Doggi has added another factory and will soon have four. kOs adds a third. There are at least a dozen vultures outside kOs's base and kOs's expansion has completed. Doggi attempts to go in and is losing but then more vultures stream. Kos sends his scvs to repair his vultures so Doggi bypasses them and goes up to the mineral expansion and harasses it. kOs sieges a tank and sends vultures to dispatch the threat. Meanwhile, Doggi has come from behind with 8 vultures and tries to kill the tank but fails. He decides to destroy another supply depot just inside the entrance. He then attacks and almost kills the lone tank. A mine failed to kill it and he loses his vultures. Doggi sends more vultures to attack and lays an idiot mine which blows up all of his vultures but doesn't kill the same tank. kOs is now mining from his expansion. Doggi hasn't even started his mineral only. kOs is pumping vultures, and Doggi is camping outside kOs's base. kOs's scouting barracks sights Doggi's just started mineral only expansion. kOs sieges a single tank just shy of his entrance and forces Doggi to retreat. kOs pursues to Doggi's secondary choke. A battle ensues and Doggi wins it because of the bottle neck effect created by that small choke. There is a large minefield just outside kOs's base right before his secondary choke and he tries to get closer. Doggi's mineral only is finally up. kOs now has six factories. Doggi mines the area in the middle outside kOs's base and then retreats to his respective area. It then shows first person of kOs scanning the mines and sending vultures to attack. kOs now has a large force of about twenty vultures and 6 tanks to Doggi's two and a half dozen vultures. kOs and Doggi have already started expanding at their gas expansions. Doggi continues to make only vultures. kOs is now mining from his expansion and Doggi is about to transfer. Both are using scouting barracks to see their defenses. Doggi finally gets a tank and sieges it up. Both go south to 6 and kOs intercepts Doggi trying to cross the bridge. Doggi retreats but goes to twelve and destroys a dozen of kos's vultures but kOs went around to attack Doggi's gas expansion but Doggi forces the force to retreat and then dissolves the force by attacking from both sides on the plateau at 5. kOs now has 10 or so tanks and a contingent of vultures and moves south but then comes back north and starts to siege and move across the bridge. Doggi returns from going north to 12 and tries to slow the advance. He repositions his tanks and then attacks. kOs continues to send units but loses three tanks he wasn't watching. kOs cannot move, then it shows doggi who has gone around to twelve on the plateau and is trying to harass the gas expansion but is stopped by a force of kOs's vultures and tanks. kOs adds a starport. The vultures at 12 plateau are destroyed now but not before he planted some scouting mines. Doggi has now expanded to his gas expansion and then suddenly advances and crushes 7 tanks on kos's side of the bridge. It caught kOs totally off guard. Doggi unsieges and heads north to 12 where a huge field of mines and a few tanks wait, Doggi coninues anyways LOL and kOs loses several vultures to a tank that Doggi suicided. kOs sends some reinforcements. Doggi has added three starports now. And they both have their second gas expansions. kOs tried to go around again to the 6 plateau but Doggi stops him. kOs absentmindedly sent some scvs to 6 and lost them to Doggi's vultures. kOs has one starport and a science facility. Doggi has now started expanding to six. koS tries to deny him this but Doggi has placed 3 tanks to stop kOs's advance. Doggi is now pumping more wraiths. kOs is getting ready to attack six it seems. with 10 tanks and 10 vultures. to Doggi's 3 tanks and 10 vulltures. kOs advances at six with a giagantic force of tanks and vultures supporting them. He quickly crushes all the defense at six and destroys the cc before Doggi could even lift off. He coninues upward to the second gas expansion undaunted. Then Doggi sieges some tanks up to slow his advance but kOs knocks out many of them. Doggi now has about twelve wraiths and he sends them to destroy the tank force. kos has goliaths now, no charon booster yet. Doggi sends a force of tanks and vultures to twelve to coutneract the damage done before. Doggi isn't watching his wraiths and they get damaged by about 5 goliaths. Doggi sieges at kos's gas expansion . kOs also sieged a few tanks on the ridge about Doggi's gas expansion. kOs now has 8 tanks and a dozen goliaths and utilizes the force to destroy Doggi's attack at his gas expansion. kOs sends his force to 6 but Doggi has sieged his tanks at the bridge leading up to the second gas expansion. Doggi finds a floating engineering bay and destroys it. Doggi expands to twelve and is running out of minerals at his first gas expansion. KoS sends a force to the 6 plateau outside Doggi's gas expansion but it had no tanks so it was destroyed easily. kOs sends a group of vultures and goliaths to destroy Doggi's expansion at 12 and Doggi sends wraiths but then the goliaths arrive and he is forced to cancel it. Doggi tries to advance across the Bridge but seems to ineffective, allowing tanks to potshots at them. KoS takes his chance and destroyrs Doggi's undefended second gas expansion. He then retreats that force to six. Doggi sends two tanks and his wraiths to six to siege at the ridge. KoS has a dozen goliaths and six or seven tanks and destroys. the force. Doggi loses all his wraiths. Doggi's small little tank force cannot advance and kOs has gone around to the plateau at six. Doggi sends some tanks to six to destroy kOs's expansion but kOs has too many units and now a new fresh group of goliaths, tanks and vultures arrives to crush Doggi and end this game. I think Doggi expanded way too late and coupled with his continuing failure to do real damage to kOs compounded the situation.. Their expansions were syncronized after that but I still believe it provided kOs with a considerable boost. I think Doggi's tech switch to wraiths later on was ill suited because he also tried to counter kOs while lowering his tank amount. I would also like to note that I believe I heard a korean mention that Doggi was ill. | ||

On November 11 2004 13:17 PaleMan wrote: i'd give this job to the korean. uhjoo is the best candidate because he can give more information (like interviews, commentaries of hosts etc.) agreed 101% no amount of mastery with words can substitute for just more information and insight than is already immediately apparent from a non-korean speaker just watching the live stream and reporting what they see. this is why i loved mensrea/waxangel reports so much more than the current reporters (no offence, you're ok too!) cuz they just wrote such extra interesting background stuff like for example what the players mightve said to the press about their sentiments on their upcoming big match in interviews (in english of course:p), about how much theyve practiced and their confidence, who theyve been practising with etc etc, and funny things the announcers said during the match in reaction to something et cetera. i really feel this is greatly lacking in the reports of the "new" non-korean speaking reporters this site has nowadays, now i feel i might as well just watch the vod myself rather than read just a well written description of everything i could see for myself by watching the vod and nothing more. on a sidenote i really enjoy uhjoo's and [boygirl]sharp's contributions to the forum, keep it up! | ||

I watch most games live and usually do live reports already. I really love sc, and especially pro gaming - I dont do well i liquibet by mistake; I really like to follow pro gaming, and almost always know what's going on. Also, I already have accounts for both MBC and OGN, so won't need anyone to provide me with one; this is especially important for MBC where u can't use the same account simultaneously. | ||
