Teamliquid.net ID: FrozenArbiter E-mail address: FrozenArbiter@gmail.com MSN/AIM/ICQ ID: FrozenArbiter@hotmail.com but it might be full so, like, PM me and I'll try to remove someone if I get in. Location/Time Zone: Sweden which is like.. CET with DST right now ehm I think that's right at least.. I'll write a new report of some GhemTV games in the morning. Oh and if possible, I'd love to do GhemTV reports. Does anyone know if they still host vods for free immediately after being played? Btw the above listed reports, I think, were just sort of written as the game progressed then 'slightly' (as in making actual sentances of scrambled words..) fine tuned so there's loads of errors (grammatical) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhemTV 3rd Starleague Women division Round of 8 Group A (I think that's what it says) Seo Ji Su (Tossgirl) Lee Jong Mi (Qoo)JongMi) Terran vs Zerg on Emperor of Emperor Tossgirl stats: Vs Zerg: 6 wins 6 losses Vs Protoss: 3 wins 1 Loss Jongmi stats: None showed, except for whom she beat in the previous rounds (I missed who tossgirl beat). I recognized the name Kim Ka Ol, now the manager of Samsung Khan. Tossgirl lands as purple terran at 6 while JongMi spawns as teal zerg across the map, at 12 o clock. Tossgirl goes for her first supply behind her minerals (meaning no wallin) while JongMi goes for what I think is a 12 hatch at expo which is delayed for a long, long time by a pesky SCV even though she sent 2 drones. The hatch first build turned into a spawn hatch gas build, meanwhile Tossgirl has done a sort of semi wallin with her 2 barracks, one of them covering most of the choke and the other right behind. JongMi has moved up to lair with her quick gas (apparently she also had enough gas to get metabolic boost for her zerglings) with, as far as I can tell only 4 zerglings. Tossgirl is meanwhile massing marines from 2 raxes with an academy upgrading, presumably, stimpacks. Jongmi has only 1 creep as she sees Tossgirls army move out, and decides to try a zergling sneak (speed is upgraded) however some firebats pop out of Tossgirl's raxes, which prompts the zerglings to just make a quick stop at the scv line before leaving. Meanwhile Tossgirl has approached JongMi's natural but finds it defended by zerglings and 2 sunkens with lurkers soon to come. No real battle occurs. With her first 2 lurkers out JongMi sends them and a batch of lings, 20 or so, to terrans main. They are spotted but Tossgirl decides that attacking is the best defence, and rushes into JongMi's, mostly, undefended main. At home she's got 2 bats and a medic which deters the zerglings from just running in (would have ended it right there) and she is succsessful in holding off the lurkers long enough for a bunker, turret, siege tank and a pair of marines to complete, even though she's forced to liftoff. Upon seeing the relatively sturdy terran defenses the zerg player turns around to defend her home instead, but only after losing her lair, den and spawning pool. She rebuilds and sets up a contain (4-5 lurkers) outside the terran main, however at this point Tossgirl's first vessel is up and about which results in a retreat from the zerg. Shortly after the terran moves out and sets up camp above the zerg natural, while taking her own natural. Zerg has a sizeable lurker/ling force and a few lurkers but isn't able to move out until after her natural, and newly morphed lair, is destroyed. She manages to erradicate the terran natural defenses with 8 or so lurkers and 24~ lings at the cost of all of her lings but she is unable to finnish it off and retreats in order to deal with the 12 marines, 4 firebats, medics and tanks pouncing on the hatchery covering her mainbase entrance. JongMi establishes a last desperate flank with 6 lurkers coming from behind and 4 from the front together with but a handful of lings. As the bodies vanish into the ground the victor of the game is clear, without an expansion or army, JongMi signs out with an electronical handshake, leaving Tossgirl the victor. (NOTE: Made this in wordpad, not sure how it will look on tl.net..) EDIT: Can't decide if I should use the bold for names (perhaps only the first time..) or not ;/ I'll just include both :X GhemTV 3rd Starleague Women division Round of 8 Group A (I think that's what it says) Seo Ji Su (Tossgirl) Lee Jong Mi (Qoo)JongMi) Terran vs Zerg on Emperor of Emperor Tossgirl stats: Vs Zerg: 6 wins 6 losses Vs Protoss: 3 wins 1 Loss Jongmi stats: None showed, except for whom she beat in the previous rounds (I missed who tossgirl beat). Email: GraedusX@Hotmail.com That's my MSN as well Location & TimeZone: Alberta, Canada & GMT Gillette OSL Semi-Final: iloveoov vs JulyZerg - Game 5 The players touch down for the final game on the map of fond memories, Nostalgia. July's purple mess congeals at 11, and Oov's Command Center lands at 5. July's initial Overlord begins the long haul down the map towards 7, and his 9th drone skitters over to 1. Following standard procedure, he begins morphing an overlord. Meanwhile, Oov constructs his supply and barracks in the standard, brain-numbing manner. While the players toil with build orders, the camera flashes over July, who appears stoic and confident. The camera then focuses on Oov, looking distraught and slightly confused, sweat beading on his brow. We can see not everyone wore their manner hats today, as a girl yawns in the crowd. Maybe Mydnyte has a fan club, who knows. July's 11th drone morphs a hatchery at his natural, and a Pool and Extractor follow shortly after. Upon completion, July transfers four Drones to mine his natural. Oov, with a second barracks complete, constructs a Refinery and a very early Academy. After feasting on assorted SCV parts, July's initial six Zerglings storm down the map towards Oov. Back at home, July has started his Lair, and begun a Hydralisk Den as well. Oov will have none of these shenanigans, however, and is properly equipped with a Firebat and a Medic. He constructs a new Command Center above his natural, confident that July's Zerglings (Now equipped with roaring V8's for legs) will stay fearful of the glint of murder in his Firebat's eyes. July's first two Hydralisks emerge, and mosey down to the 6 base. His Zerglings now sit on the safe side of the bridge, chased away by Oov's slowly growing Marine/Firebat/Medic force. Another scouting SCV is ingested and digested by July's zerglings, and July's two Hydralisks begin their metamorphisis into dastardly killing machines. As Oov's new Command center lands at his natural, July starts a hatchery at 12. The lurkers appear, and with 2 Barracks and no factory in sight, Oov is hardly equipped to combat them. They sneak accross the walkway from 6 and make quick work of the Firebat and Medic holding the ramp. They're joined by six Zerglings, and the pop up to wander down the ramp. Oov brings his force of 6 Marines, 3 firebats, and assorted medics to defend, but is chased away as July reburrows. Oov loses a pair of marines in the retreat, and July seizes the opportunity (After a slight delay) to burrow his two lurkers behind Oov's nat minerals! Oov's SCVs retreat unscathed, but his Command Center is in jeopardy. Oov huddles his MMF force near the two new Bunkers that face the bridges, as the Command Center is subject to the repeated pummeling of spines. He quickly creates a third Barracks. July's hatchery at 12 nears completion, and another begins to take form at his own natural. Oov constructs an engineering bay. During all the commotion, July has managed to place two lurkers on the side of the bridge opposite Oov's Bunkers. He produces streams of Zerglings from the three hatcheries at his main and natural, and 12's Drone count grows higher. With his Command Center dipping below half-HP, Oov makes a critical decision. With a pre-emptive scan, he stims and charges the two Lurkers and six Zerglings head-on. The first vicious line of Lurker spines claims the lives of three of Oov's 10 marines. Several more and the lone Firebat fall soon after, and when the dust clears, oov is left with a meager two Marines and four Medics. Three more Marines join up, and his MM move over the walkway towards 6. We're shown four new Lurkers morphing just past July's bridges, where his Hatcheries are rallied, and a Hatchery morphing at the 1 o'clock base. Oov's growing MM army chases a mischevious gang of Zerglings off the walkway to 6, and his SCV's return to mining his natural. July's base now houses a Queen's Nest, and a Hive begins. Oov still lacks a single Factory, and is producing MM from his three Barracks. There is a paranoid total of four Bunkers defending iloveoov now, two at the bridges, one near the walkway to 6, and one above his ramp. Three more lurkers join the two opposite Oov's natural, as a wave of Zerglings and another Lurker scream accross the walkway to 6. July sees the Bunker below, and decides to burrow his Lurker above the ramp. Bad luck for Oov, July's lurker can hit a Bunker! Oov hastily throws up a Missile Turret beside his Command Center. July starts an Evolution Chamber at his natural, and his Hive nears evolutionary success. Eighty bajillion (Okay, twelve) Zerglings hook up with July's lurkers outside Oov's natural. Oov's MM force attempts to explore, but is sent packing quickly, minus one. Oov's Bunker falls, and he begins a new one just out of range of that devious Lurker. Now is the winter of iloveoov's discontent, as July's hive is finished. Oov now has a single factory, and another on the way. The game appears heavily in July's favor now, as Oov cannot exit his natural, while July's Hatchery at 1 begins to Drone it up. Oov is drastically behind in tech, and his MM force seems uncharacteristically tiny. July sends three Zerglings on a scouting expidition, but they are met with their own gooey demise. July's rally point yields another three Lurkers, and a healthy 20 Zerglings. A flash of his natural on-screen reveals July's latest scheme: a Defiler Mound. Oov scans the walkway to 6, and makes an attempt on the life of the single Lurker. The lurker claims six or seven marines before it falls, and the Zerglings fall with it. Oov begins a starport, July hatches two Defilers, and Oov's MM once again rumble over the walkway to 6. They set up camp, and probably have a drink or two. Hell, they deserve it. His second engineering bay is now complete, which will certainly help him combat the new Zerglings (numbering much nearer to eighty bajillion than before) that are prancing down the map to reinforce their broodmates. The screen pans across July's growing cluster, showing the Droned-To-The-Eyeballs 12, and the growing 1, both defended by a pair of Sunken Colonies each. The biggest bit of new information is the Ultralisk Cavern now morphing at July's natural. (For those of you wondering why Ultralisks always sound so cranky - have you seen how large the opening on the Ultralisk Cavern is? Imagine trying to stuff yourself through a hole the diameter of a basketball just to get home. Bet you won't be a happy camper either.) With a forceful 'Who said you were going anywhere?', July burrows three lurkers outside of 6. Oov's frontline is now equipped with a sieged Tank, and his two Starports are churning out a Science Vessel. Oov begins a fourth Barracks as well. I'd imagine Oov was screaming like a little girl on the inside, as 6 lurkers and an ocean of Zerglings (Now cracked up) poured into his natural covered by Dark Swarm. One of Oov's Tanks had managed to clobber a pair of July's Lurkers as they ran in, but it would do the Swarm no more harm. Oov lifts his natural Command Center in a hurry, and retreats his lone Tank into his main. His MM army comes pouring back from 6, but is stopped cold by the threat of LurkerLing under Dark Swarm. After his Defilers have a light snack, July waltzes up the ramp, mangling Oov's bunker, and burrows his remaining lurkers at the top. Oov pulls his new pair of tanks back, and sieges up to defend. Another flash to July's rally point shows six Ultralisks, and over thirty Cracklings. The crowd cheers its approval, and I grin sadistically. The announcer-man is having trouble speaking now, his attempts at further yelling in vain. Oov seizes perhaps his only opportunity to exit the confines of his natural, and the MM force runs from below the walkway's ramp across the bridges, out into the open. For some reason or another Oov now has a pair of vultures. The Lurkers threatening his main finally fall to a hail of siege tank fire. Oov's romp through the mainland of Nostalgia is cut short, as his MM army gets their skulls handed to them by July's immense Ultra/Crackling army. The words 'Oh, Dear' escape my lips, dripping with sarcasm, and July's army frolicks up Oov's ramp. But alas, the Ultralisks get caught up amongst each other, the Zerglings, and a pair of well-placed SCVs, and without their Speed upgrade they fall to Guass Rifle and Shock Cannon. Oov holds.. for the time being. The crowd lets out a stifled cheer (Think Monty Python... "And they ate Robin's minstrels. Yaaay".) With only his Main to fight from, the situation is dismal for someone-or-another's Terran hero. He's losing moisture at an alarming rate, and his fingers fly across the keyboard. Somewhere along the line, July also created a Hatchery at the 9 o'clock position, indicated to me only by the MiniMap. And, in response to Oov's astounding count of 2 (two) Science Vessels, July has morphed a spire. The three lurkers holding 6 are shaped much like the -_- face, which is pretty much July's current expression. He is not human, he is like iron. July starts morphing a hatchery at 3 as well. Oov puts his two Vultures to work mining his bridges. He resumes harvesting at his natural. His army now consists of a group of MM, two vessels, them Vultures he done built, and a pair of Tanks. July burrows a trio of Lurkers outside Oov's bridges once again, but not before a pair of Vultures sneak out. One Vulture heads up to 1, but is pursued by a death brigade of 20 or so Cracklings, the other zips to 5, where July is beginning yet another Hatchery. With three Sunken Colonies at 1, Oov's Vulture does nothing but make an attractive orange explosion. Oov's only pair of vessels run over to 1 as well, to perform "THE ERASER" (A technique wherein two or more Science Vessels irradiate one another and float over drones, using Irradiate's spash damage to kill drones). They kill 9 drones before being blown to bits by four Scourge. July smells blood. July's Ultralisks smell blood. Hell, even July's Drones must want a piece of the action by now. He steams into oov's natural with six new Ultralisks and a living carpet of Cracklings. Oov's Tanks fall to his own Spider Mines as the zerglings head up the battle. A well-placed Dark swarm spells the end for Oov's remaining army. As Ultralisks and Zerglings have a swell time wrecking up the place, Oov types the magic letters. The announcers go wild. The crowd goes insane. I dance a joyful little dance. This game's total length was under 17 minutes, quite the impressive show from JulyZerg. This game marks the end of Oov's trip through the Gillette OSL, and puts JulyZerg in the finals, where he'll face either Silent_Control or [Oops]Reach for an obnoxious sum of money. Oov doesn't look very pleased, and July finally breaks his brick wall of a facial expression, cracking a grin and wiping his hand across his face. JulyZerg dominated iloveoov from start to finish, in an incredible series. As the crowd pumps fists in the air, chanting "Park Sung Jun! Park Sung Jun!", so ends first the Gillette OSL Semifinal. Final Score: JulyZerg 3-2 iloveoov ------------- Why should I write reports for tl? Because i'm so pretty, witty, and wise And its not like i got anything better to do | ||
