SlayersBoxer uses blue keys. They're not exactly the same. More info than anyone needs can be found here: Cherry MX switches
The blues are slightly harder and the reset point is higher than the operating point which is why some people could have problems with double taps if they don't release the key fully. This seems very rare though. The main difference is the sound.

The main difference is not the sound, the pressure graph for the MX browns is smoother than that of the blues, and as such is a more comfortable typing experience which you will most definitely notice if you game for more than a couple of hours on end with decent APM, the actuation point on both are the same, while the reset point on the blues is 1mm above the actuation point while the browns actuation and reset point are one and the same allowing for faster double tapping and spamming (e.g. macroing out of rax).

The tactileness of Das is so awesome ... even the silent ones have that feeling.

Well considering one is $10-35, and the other is $150.... and one is mechanical and has backlighting while the other is a standard rubber dome keyboard...
Edit - Oh, I didn't know the non-backlit version came out.
|
The DT35 is a pretty solid rubber dome board, where the U9 is a very cheap mechanical board.
If you want mechanical boards, pony up and buy something nicer than the U9. Keep in mind mechanical switches will take an absurd number of keystrokes in their life, so spending a bit more on the board itself is a wise investment to ensure your board makes it as far as the switches do.
If you like rubber dome boards the DT 35 is fine.
As for the above discussion on blue vs brown, basically blue is louder and more tactile, brown is smoother and quieter. Common opinion is that blues are better for typing and browns are better for gaming, but a lot of people (including myself) prefer the harder blues for gaming as well. It's very much preference. I suggest you try them both.

Doesn# t answer my question I asked if anyone could compare the BlackWidow and the DasKeyboard which both use Blue Switches. Since they do use the same my question is: is the DasKeyboard worth ~40€ more than the Razer?

Euros are expensive.
The Das Keyboards have better build quality (soldering and structure) than the Black Widow. Whether this build quality (which can manifest in chattering keys, non-responsive keys, and general heft of the keyboard) is worth 40 euros to you or not is a crapshoot. The keycaps on both aren't as good as Filcos, so that's comparison point for the Filcos there.

Filco and Das has 6-key rollover w/usb, N-key rollover w/ps2, which is nice is you like pressing a lot of buttons at the same time. I would say the Das is worth it over the BW.

I have a Das with browns. I'd say its worth it, the blackwidow seems slightly cheaper, and from what I hear Filco's are still better than both. I know for a fact that the key caps on the Filco are the highest quality, and I'm also pretty sure they all use the same German eng. cherry switches. So yes to the Das, but even more yes to a Filco.

I got the Steel Series 6Gv2 and it stopped working on me! So I am going to just grab a Filco with Cherry Blues (turns out I hate the Cherry Blacks should've listened to the nice gentlemen that told me not to get em haha). Gonna send that bad boy back cause it don't work and I hate it lolool.
I gotta say though, the build quality on the SteelSeries is very very good compared to say a Razer Keyboard.

I've been using Das Keyboard with MX Brown's for a few weeks now, and I like it more and more every day. It is a joy to type on, play games on, and it is of excellent build quality. I think the Blue switches would be too loud for me.
Oh, and you can get a 20% education discount from them.

my cherry brown filco tenkeyless is so amazing ... at first it was hard to change but now man I am glad I did ...

Thanks for the answers guys, think I won't buy a BlackWidow then. If im gonna buy one, I will buy the right one Will porlly sell my 6Gv2 cuz I really don't like the blacks for RTS. Will grab a Das or a Filco with Blues or Browns depending on where I can buy one and how much it costs. Would probably pay about 10-20€ more for the Filco if i can find any Reseller in Germany.

Why not get a Ducky? I got a Ducky with blues for like...50E.
