Just searched for the word ZOWIE and read everything anyone has said about the keyboard on this thread. i own one( Zowie Celeritas) myself and agree with everything anyone has said about it. the nylon keys and the cherry mx brown switches feel absolutely amazing. a friend of mine came over and played a game of starcraft on it and he ended up buying one too. it really is a great keyboard.

These are replacing the Filco Chery MX keyboards they are supposed to be the same quality and they are tenkeyless. Highly reccomend

I just got a DasKeyboard with brown switches yesterday and I love it to death. I know for the most part the keyboard will not make you a better player but I think it will improve my game play a lot just because I will be playing a lot more. I literally doubled my play time yesterday compared to how much I normally play, hope that does not change. I would have to say any keyboard with brown switches should be amazing, have not used the blues. I wish the DasKeyboard did come in tenkeyless versions though.

Das Keyboards and Filcos are what I've personally been looking at (MX Blues)
I've heard testimonies that they both have the same feel (well duh same keyswitch) and with conversions they're all about the same price but that doesn't count shipping. Although, I think I'm leaning towards the Filco a bit more because of the fact that the Das Keyboard is shiny/glossy and I have cats so I want something very low-maintenance. But those are the two that I'd have to recommend.

I've had a das for over a year now and it's true the gloss does become dirty. It's pretty easy to wash off, but if you really want to avoid that, go for the filco, they're great too.

You might as well wait until the start of april to grab a lepold tenkeyless, its the same thing as a filco (and same makers too). i'm probably going to grab one of those too, but then they(elitekeyboards) are only shipping the FC2000 compact models, so no numb. pad lol.

$100 for lepold, brown or blues, with lettering or none.
$125-130 for Das, extra usb port, numb. pad, with lettering or none, brown or blues.

it just depends on your preference whether or not you want a number pad, a sexy looking keyboard and a extra usb slot or a cheaper mech keyboard that provides all the same features but aesthetics might not be as nice as the Das.

I love my Razer Blackwidow. It's a great keyboard and costs less than most of the other mechanical keyboards out there.

Cherry Blacks vs. Browns:
The tactile feedback of browns seems desirable to me, but I'm being recommended to blacks for gaming. Will I miss out with the lack of tactile feedback if I go with blacks?

i have both blacks and blues; blues are lighter and have audible feedback, but theres a slight double tap issue that took a while for me to get used to.

blacks are very reliable and super responsive. there is no audible feedback but the linear actuation and rapid double tap makes it a bit more reliable.

Not the same board, but same idea, I saw the prime house tour and noticed what MKP had done to his keyboard. I had a 7g before this keyboard so I just swapped the keys around, they fit perfectly as they have the same switches and it works a treat.
