I was wondering how Starcraft 2 could cost 100 million dollars to design .
I mean is it really that hard to upgrade the looks of an existing game and add a few new unit and terrain models ? Sure it would cost but I think 100 million is waaay to much if u look at the state of Starcraft 2 multiplayer ( which is honestly as bad as other RTS's out there , u know terran defense is really great , u can never break a bunker planetary fortress defense with marine along it , the AI is really dumb etc long list ) . It is really mediocre compared to WC 3 and BW , this is both visible in battle net design as well as overall gameplay .
Allright let's go straight to the point : did Starcraft 2 really cost 100 million dollars to design or is it just a trick Blizzard is playing to overhype the game by letting people think this is the best game ever designed ( this can be true since Starcraft BW was really succesfull and a lot of people know what Starcraft was ) .
I don't like to watch Starcraft replays as a spectator . I watched about 4-6 replays of all the match ups possible and after u watched 4-6 replays u seen them pretty much all . This is also because there isn't any spectacular micro involved when you are playing the game .
It is really really sad if this really took 100 million USD and 12 years ( confirmed , 12 years ) to develop . It is shocking that it took so much for so little if this fact is true .
When I speak to other players about the game they don't really say the game is exciting and I see less and less players online from my total friend database ( diamond players )
Just for the sake of it to let everyone know I am not someone who doesn't understand anything I am a 2350 protoss player .
I would like some stale proof that Blizzard spended 100 million USD on Starcraft 2
