That said, off the top of my head, IdrA, Dimaga, TLO, Ret, Sen. There are more good players i'm forgetting, but that should be enough to get you started.

Aggressive / Creative - TLO, Slush, Dimaga (sometimes) Hard Macro - IdrA, Dimaga (also sometimes, hence his well-roundedness) At least that's how I see it. I don't mean to sound snobby, but it's probably not a bad idea to watch replays of the people who win the big-time tourneys (ie Koreans). That said, off the top of my head, IdrA, Dimaga, TLO, Ret, Sen. There are more good players i'm forgetting, but that should be enough to get you started. I agree don't rule out Korean replays, however I think he wanted to known non-Koreans to look at as he probably has already seen the GSL and many Korean Zerg replays. Also be weary of watching the very TOP level play and emulating that play, especially timing pushes, average players on ladder play far differently. Don't dis-regard the incredible play of the pros, but take with a grain of salt in knowing that most of your opponents won't conform to what one would 'expect' when facing a pro.

Idra has the most solid/consistent builds of any foreign zerg, which makes it so much easier to learn from his style. Dimaga and Sen can just end up doing mind-boggling weird and ineffective strategies some games(See dimaga vs White ra in showmatch/blizzcon or Sen in blizzcon/MLG). They both seem very inconsistent lately.

Give Ret another month and he should be a beast, might even supersede Idra eventually. TLO will be really innovative, I think he will probably the # 3 best non Korean Zerg.

Watching idra maybe a good way to learn zerg play but please don't bring down other good players just because your Idra's fanboy. Idra is good in zvt but i think dimaga is better in zvz.

Take TLO for example: Great player, very fun to watch, probably the worst person to learn from. While TLO has an innovative style, many of the things he does only make sense once you've really become a good player. For someone who is still struggling with spreading creep watching TLO is probably the worst thing you can do. On the other hand, if you're looking for someone doing something different, or cool, definitely a good place to start. I think Ret also falls into this category of amazing players which are tons of fun to watch, but hard to learn from. Why does Ret choose 4 Roaches as the moment to cut all gas and drone production? He has well defined timing pushes and really has a good feel for his race, but until you're really 1500+ Diamond, probably not that helpful. By comparison I think a player who is really good to learn from is Machine. Machine plays a very Macro oriented style, but he does it with precision. He doesn't miss an opportunity to expand, he never wastes larva he would rather spend on drones, he does a phenomenal job with the basics. Not the most interesting player, but very informative to watch. So I guess it comes down to, are you trying to be entertained? or to learn something?

He is rarely outplayed in a macro game vs Terran or Protoss. Back in beta it used to be Sen, but his new style of play seems less effective. I think he is less scary now.

Personally, next closest criteria I can think of would be an overall tournament performance, with varying weights placed on each tournament(where "overall difficulty to win or advance as far as possible"** determines the weight of each one). With such criteria in mind the winner is Idra. However if one picks different criteria, such as "entertainment value", "creativity", "consistency",or others, then best non-Korean zerg might just as well be MadFrog, or any mentioned above. *- or at least come as close as possible to being purely objective) ** - a lot of variables could be included such as size, prize pool, difficulty of opponents, etc

When TLO finds his inner zerg again, he'll overthrow Idra. When ret irons out his weaknesses, he'll overthrow TLO. When morrow has relearned sc2 from a zerg perspective, he'll overthrow ret. As far as who to learn from: Firstly: Learn to play very basic and solid while getting your mechanics and macro up from idra. Secondly: Learn the tao of zerg, like creep spread, map presence and when to expand from ret. Lastly: Get entirely new perspectives on zerg from TLO.

Gracken is as solid as a zerg can get, GSL 3 times in a row like that? His only weakness playing against is super unorthodox stuff, he said that himself didn´t he?

Btw I'm kidding and not implying racism or anything but I dont understand the exclusion of so many good players. I simply watched ALOT of gsl and i haven't seen many non korean zergs. I just want to give other players a chance no racism intented.
