Enjoying your internet censorship?

It hasn't even been passed yet. You are indeed an expert.

I never understood why SCVs can't repair marines and marauders. They are in mechanical power armor after all.

On another note

Why does war have to be one of the prime motivators to advance science? A lot is very wrong with that.

If it wasn't for war, we would be nowhere near as technologically advanced as we are.

This is not all that fancy. It is pretty much selective cauterization.

They put a dye in the wound, and the laser heats the dye faster than the surrounding tissue, even passing through the tissue somewhat. By putting the dye on the bits you want to stick together, you can basically melt/cook the surfaces of the cut tissue back together. Now instead of a gaping wound, you've got a thin, deep burn.

You still have to clean the wound and push stuff against each other that needs to connect together. This is just a replacement for stitches.

  • There are experiments for bio-mechanic-implants and exoskeletons, so a "combat suit" as shown in the cinematic trailer seems possible some time in the future. The research is done under the cover of "humanitarian aid" for soldiers who have lost a limb during fighting, but do we trust the US Army to stick to those only if they see an advantage?
  • Some english Professor already had a chip implanted into one of his arms to control a roboter with it. Sadly I havent found his name yet.
  • And last but not least there is a "Hirnschrittmacher" (Pacemaker for the brain ... no idea how to translate it) for people with Parkinson disease AND about two years ago some company demonstrated their first attempts to invent a "brain guided computer control" (worn like a crown) at the E3 ... which - if added together - connect brains and computers with each other.

All of these give me a bad feeling for the future, because isolated and not abused they are nice, but added together they pretty much end up as RoboCop or The Matrix as worst case scenarios. I intend not to be around when humanity screws up that big; luckily the required energy would probably make them more or less impractical right now now.
If you cant say what you're meaning, you can never mean what you're saying.

With healing becoming so efficiently and rapid, now I can be even more reckless and not worry about a thing. Kinda like Starship troopers where the commander can throw a knife into the guys hand and not have to really worry about the consequences since healing was so good in the movie.

Meh, who knows? Maybe game designers at Blizzard heard about this super-secret technology long time ago and decided to incorporate it into the game at government request to make the youth more susceptible to fight in a space war versus highly advanced aliens and a bug race.
*tin foil hat - ON!*
now how about that?
