You need to make the game try to join the US server, right now its trying to join the EU server with the US account. I have two separate installs and I just got home and now Im HOPEFULLY going to play the first starcraft game in over a month, Im literately drooling.

what u mean u havent heard anything? just login to bnet and click starcraft 2 and then download? thats my hypothesis. eu server btw.

I got one key left for the sc2 enGB beta invites. So I went to us.battle.net and created a new account(I made a new gmail account first to be able to use it for bnet acc). I added that unused key and it WORKED. Downloading the US beta right now.

Anyone having problems actually getting into a game on the US servers? I patched and got to the "find game" button but it just spends forever in the queue. Been at it for 5-10 minutes and still nothing.

Oh okay so there is a difference between the US version and EU version of the game? it's not possible to just change some file so that it changes what server it tries to login into?
edit: When I try downloading the game from scratch through my US bnet account it shows a murloc and the page says "file not found", are the patching servers down again or something ?

The main problem with that is that the account that you use to log in must be either from one or the other I hope the main game isnt divided, that would be totally screwed up.
I am downloading the English version right now, let me see if I spot the diff file.

A lot of people seemingly have this problem and I keep logging on to see if there is a fix... not yet though as far as i know.

You can either with downloading a file called USBase or something like that, to replace your current "Base", (download the US, rename your old to EUBase when you want to switch back, and rename the USBase "Base". At least thats how I remembered it, you might have to change the name of a folder in "my documents".) or make a new file yourself as I remember some people was talking about from yesterday. But that might have only been for the patch and not the game.
You might also need to get the correct patch version of the Base file.

holy fuck I hate country restrictions... I have been having to use a freaking proxy to be able to download the US version.... just because Im sitting behind a computer that has the fucking IP from germany, wtf is going on? it was not like that before.
I am having a bad feeling that the final game wont have the gateways to other servers like BW had... this is going to be annoying.

I must admit this whole farce doesn't fill me with any great confidence for the full release. Activision and there need to make even more money have screwed this up with stupid facebook and rl names shit.
