I appreciate the help then. Perhaps I will make a rep pack of future games in a week or so. I'm hesitant to get caught up in teaching a lot of SC though, as I do want to focus some on poker. I've always thought that if I can see someone's games, then I can understand the thought process and there would be no need to talk to them. But perhaps not everyone has that mindset.

Why don't you use this time to sign up for PokerStrategy.com and get good at poker so you don't need to fund your bank roll with a few dollars teaching sc players? (sick plug amirite?)

You guys should allow USA players, btw...

Hahaha Kennigit that was epic.
And ps Machinehead when you keep talkinga bout the only reason you're doing is so you can focus on poker that makes you sound less reliable. It makes it sound like poker is more important to you than SC which would make people hesitate to take SC lessons from you.

You don't have to keep saying Top 8, Top 16 USA thou... That means doesn't mean ur even decent..
USA, atm has 1 excellent player, like ~2 who are good and another ~2 who are decent. The rest of them are kinda bad.. srsly... I think you are selling USA short there. You would need to at least be a B+ player to get top 16 USA. Top 16 simply helps put it in perspective for some that are from USA that want to get better. A lot of people can say ambiguous things like "I'm 'good,'" or that I got a rank on iccup through cheesing. Qualifying for WCG's is simply a better means to quantify your skill -- although maybe not to players unaware of the USA scene.
Well now it seems ur contradicting yourself.. First you say that it's easy to achieve A/A- with cheesy bo's or abusing on iccup, then you answer my post based on iccup ranking...
I'm talking very seriously here, I do think most USA players are overrated.. I've seen a couple of USA players on TSL 1st page with A- and I don't really know how they got there lol..
I don't want to start a flamewar nor mention any names.. but have you ever watched Lzgamer's stream? :D I'm just saying.. he got A- and he hm... well you know ;;

I think MachineHead should reopen an organized thread in a blog with more specific info. A bit like what Chill did, involving his resume, price (even if it is negotiable, give an estimate, people feel reluctant taking shots), session length, available times, etc...
On another subject, what would be a top 16 USA list? Can someone help create one? 1.iDra & Artosis (cuz he is gosu) 2.NoNy 3.Love (if he still plays) 4.inControl 5.Nyoken 6.Yoshi 7.G5 8.Louder 9.KawiiRice 10.LzGamer 11.Chosen 12.Mercury 13.Scan 14.iNka 15.Evade 16.Tasteless? lol I dont know nearly enough players to even make a list lol let alone judge how good they are in comparison with one another =)

I admire the goal of helping others and if people don't want to pay a small fee for a service no big deal. Still, some things should be said.
First truth -- I knew playa a bit when he was starting out, but I cant speak much to how well hes gotten. From recent reps I can backup that he says he plays somewhat unorthodox, and that he seems good enough to help out many players. Anyone that is B+ and can speak about starcraft well is probaby able to helps lots of people. Second truth -- Like LeoTheLion said, get your shit together. The op is terribly organized. You edited the op, and it is better now, but it is nowhere near the level of incontrol, who is handling it much more professionally. Third truth -- the vast amount of players will only care if you are a known name, which incontrol is due to being around forever and having high post count. That and only being ~16th in skill is hardly going to impress.
Decent idea. Badly executed. Not going to get many people anyway.

You have to charge less than incontrol and if you are protoss main race then you are probably more skilled than inc with P so I would use that as a main selling point. I don't believe this to be profitable hourly rate though.

I feel like you took more shit than was deserved, machine, but you still deserved some shit because nobody knows if you're good. This would be like me offering to coach people when I don't even play Starcraft. My qualifications? I watch Day[9]'s cast, and abascus live translating the coaches means that I know all about the current metagame. For srs, strategical tips, just buy me dinner.

I haven't been in a SC team in years, and just recently have I posted on a forum. Inactive or not, I'm always around top 16 usa, if not top 8, so if you think someone of that skill could help you, then go for it. If not, don't. I don't know what else to tell you. "im always around top 16 usa, if not top 8" uhhhhhh... have I ever met you before? Cuss if I haven't, your not top 8 or top 16. Who are you again? Oh and if you would like to play me 1v1 a few games so I can show you realistically where you are in usa, please let me know. If you do good I will gladly recommend you here. G5, how do you qualify for something that is top 16 WCG USA without being top 16 in the USA? I know you are a smart guy, so hopefully you explain it to me. I haven't played you since years ago in a WCG qualifier. If it makes you feel good, you did beat me. Your PVT is one of the best in the USA. If you want a pat on the back just ask me. The top X players in any tournament in anything are not necessarily the top X players at that time.
Thats not true, we all know Day[9] was 9th best player in the world at 2005
