I wonder why there is so much hate here. I've never seen any good player want to teach to some strangers for free, so some people might be interested in it.
I'm a D+ / C- player at most and I'm pretty sure I could be of some help for most of D- players, so with his rank I'm pretty sure he could help tons of players like me (unfortunately for him I don't have nor time nor motivation to hope getting better one day..)
Only real problem with his post I see there is that it should be a blog.
And yes, he hasn't accomplish must in the past but I'm pretty sure lots of people would pay for having lessons from top foreigners; if only they offered that.

Guys, Incontrol is a well-known player and has more incentive to make it more professional -- as it could become a "big" business. This was a spur of the moment thing for me and I'm not sure if I even want to attract lots of people. With that said, I'm still eager to help some people who need/want it.
As far as top 16 USA, not that it matters and is hard to really pinpoint it due to all the inactivity at any given time, but it probably looks like this: 1) Idra 2) Nony 3) Day 4) Incontrol 5) G5 6) Lastgosu 7) Nyoken 8) Yosh 9) Chosen 10) Froz 11) LZ 12) Gretorp 13 Artosis 14) Machine (zerg player) 15) Semih 16)
When active, I have "officially" made it 2 times. Those are the other 15 players that come to mind. The point is USA does have good depth, and being top 16 is hardly a shabby thing. How many players that caliber are teaching others? I only know of gretorp and incontrol, so for players looking to improve, they are largely dependent on themselves. Any player that can help the masses below them should be a welcomed addition.

I hear you and that's probably something you should do. But in reality, if you give your rep pack out, they may as well just stop there and copy you. The premise is the pricing should be very affordable and if you are below b- caliber, then you should be able to gain something from it. If not, what have you lost? A few dollars? If you don't get better then just quit... It's not a big commitment...
So what you are saying is that if you allow people to watch your replays and copy them, they may as well stop there? Well if reps are that precious why doesnt someone just download progamer reps that are 50X better than yours + free?
Oh wait thats what I actually do.... oh shit wait a minute, I just realised I don't need your services.. How much can I pay you to fondle my cherries?
U know what would help a poker addiction? A credit card and a gun or a real job.

does the USA only have 16 players?

I think your OP reflects your fear of this happening and it happened lol. Post your TSL rep pack and good luck.

someone should save this list for safekeeping in case this discussion comes up again I'd say this is canon
*edit* and if your interested in coaching you should check out my site http://www.xtremeonez.com

To those that are interested in a replay pack, I will play some games this week and probably submit the pack at c+ or b-. Shamefully, I need to cut down on my bm in games -- when winning or losing. To those that view it as a win/win situation, I encourage you to give it a go. To those that find me evil, or horribly noob, or w/e, well you are entitled to your opinion and I can only hope that one day you will offer to teach me.

Why are you guys picking on him??

rofl trying to earn money from coaching outside people. Even korean progamers dont do that. GL. Get some korean mechanics first.

Korean pro gamers don't want their replays out there to begin with. And the title kinda suggest that they are already busy being progamers, practicing most of the day and preparing for their matches.

If even Incontrol gets a great degree of arguments in his blog/thread (which i just found out about btw, thank you), machinehead should have anticipated all the negative posts and he should have come well prepared, meaning he should have organized a nice post so people can really see what's what. Writing a complete post for 10-15 minutes = a lot of questions eliminated and, maybe, even some bm posts minus. Writing some messages here in there where you explain you're not the best, but hey, that's not important = O_o
