Seriously. If that defiler had casted two swarms instead of one, Fantasy would have lost. 1.) True but this wasn't a normal bunker rush. It was an 8rax supply 2nd barracks which puts you in a worse economic state then a simple 1rax bunker rush. Pulling 8drones was the correct choice and Jaedong is somewhat ahead. 2.) Stupid move and I'm not too sure what was trying to be accomplished. Fantasy is now behind. 3.) Jaedong carries through with the outsider strategy (sunken turtle into fast defensive guardians) but techs to a much faster hive. 4.) JD scouts 2 port and makes a devourer but is slightly late with scourge. He is however prepared with a quick spore and decent scourge followup. 5.) JD uses guardians defensively which is very common on this map. 6.) JD 4gas 3 minerals vs Fantasy 4 minerals 2 gas. When the base Fantasy first took (his mineral only) runs out he takes bottom left and tries to take the remaining main base. The main gets shut down pretty quickly. Jaedong meanwhile takes his second double gas and his 2nd mineral only. 7.) Jaedong controls the center extremely effectively and constantly annoys Fantasy's bases with small ultraling drops. At this point I thought Fantasy was going to GG out. 8.) Instead of allowing Fantasy's CC to watch the 9 expo area, he builds a queen and infests. 9.) Both players are economically crippled as Fantasy's small unit group goes down the right side of the map and stops Jaedong's 5th and 6th gas. I'm thinking they are depleted but maybe they had something left. Fantasy however destroys them while pushing the 9 and leaves the game up to this final push. Fantasy used Tanks in that game like zergs have been using guards. Expand along the perimeter and prevent any kind of frontal attack with a strong defense. Once you have a large army bust out and attack. And if the defiler casted two swarms I think Fantasy still could have won but definitely much less decisively. Fantasy was really careful to slow push with his tanks as there really wasn't much else to pay attention to. At that point it was Fantasy's game to lose. Snipe the defiler and win. | ||
