Oh please Zero, please beat Jaedong and advance and claim this OSL lol! That would be so glorious. I'm chuckling at SKT1 civil war though :D!

33.3%, much better chances than the 5.55% chance that Hite would draw an entire half of a bracket to itself.

it's much higher than 5.55%. there are two rules.
- it must be 1st vs 2nd from group stages.
- players in the same group of Ro16 do not meet in Ro8.
to my caculations, it becomes 2/9=22.2%.

When Hwasin lost I thought I could at least take comfort in knowing who to root for between Fantasy and Bisu in MSL.

Now I'm just heartbroken.

July would win another OSL then. :p

this sl season hates toss. it started with 4 of the 6 dragons in one msl group so that 2 automatically get eliminated and now this shitty osl ro8. basically any protoss playing spectator is fucked in terms of attractivity of this osl. and over half of the top named players are out aswell. (flash bisu stork luxury jangbi and so on).

i cant find the words to describe how disappointed i am. but speaking about flash and bisu, they have to blame themselves. especially bisu, not making it out of this easy group is quite pathetic.

Yarnc in the OSL Ro8 instead of Effort or Flash.

Excuse me while I go wretch in the corner.

the chance that fantasy and canata meet each other in the ro8 was only 25%, not 33%.

given that one advances as 1st and one as 2nd we know that they will stand on different sides of the bracket. it doesnt matter which of the 4 slots on the left side fantasy takes, in any case out of the 4 available slots for canata, 1 of them means that he plays fantasy. therefore the probability of the two meeting each other was onl 25%.

Given that Fantasy couldn't play against type-b, the #2 from his group, the chances that he would play Canata were, in fact, 33.3%.
That's not awful writing, DAMMIT. It's perfectly sensical english construction.

it was 33% since canata cant meet Leta in the Ro8
1/3

and MSL you have to blame jangbi

Hmm. Well, my thinking was that there would be a c[2,1]/c[4,2] = 2/12 = 1/6 chance that the Hite players would square off and assuming that, then there would be a 1/3 chance that their matches would be on the same half of the bracket. 1/6 * 1/3 = 1/18 = 5.55%.

But enough probability, this may as well have been karma. In exchange for OGN dodging the protoss race, they're forbidden to dodge each other.

Wait, if Jaedong and Fantasy wins, they'll have to face each other in Ro4 and not the finals?

wow, 4 Hite Sparkyz made it. it's too bad they all have to face each other next and also the semi-final for the winners.
