Winner's League was fun, but I like having the anticipation of known matchups. CJ vs. Ace should be entertaining.
Both Stars matches should be tough but winnable against two of the better teams in the league. Actually, I would not at all be surprised if they 3-0'ed Khan.

Orion won PGL earlier this year, and does some really standard ZvP stuff. Meh. Reach has good shot of taking it.
And we just need to have faith in YellOw. He shall exact his revenge. Seriously, it's fucking YELLOW. How can you not support him? He was the savior of the Zerg race before Savior even played Starcraft TBH...

Pure is back..one of my favorite protoss. And I think Stars will beat khan, they got a nice match up set, Free vs some dead zerg and zero vs Stork.
I think MBC vs SKT1 should be good, itll be interesting to see if SEA is back in form, and If Light is till in beast mode, which hell need to be in order to take out Bisu again.
Reach vs Orion..will probably be a huge silly mess, Savior vs Anytime rematch.. Casy vs Skyhigh could be nice, both put on good TvTs at a high frequency.
Also look out for woonjin vs OZ. A free vs jd ace match is a possibility. But Piano vs JD could be good as well.

A free vs JD ace match would actually render all of my pants/underwear unusable. I remember the last time they met up, with free unleashing 3 base gas toss worth of reaver/archon..
Piano is good, but he still has some time before he becomes a major league player. I think he has potential, but not at JD level yet

No mirrors. God's Garden appears to be balanced by the first week lineups.
Neo Medusa:

1 ZvZ
One game does not feature any Protoss, and that's a ZvZ. The only Terran that appears is Flash. It appears that the changes that took place were not great enough to benefit Terran, but we'll see in the long run.
Heartbreak Ridge:
4 TvZ
1 ZvP
2 TvT
One Protoss player in all the games (Stork) apparently this is a T and Z map.
Outsider:
3 PvT
3 TvZ
1 PvZ
1 TvT
A lot of Terrans, but still looks decently balanced as there will be 7 games featuring a P and/or a Z. This map may be the most balanced (it does have a nice distribution of races) and the Terran jump may be due to the "you must play one of each race" rule.
Battle Royale:

4 ZvZ
Obviously Zerg favored. We'll see if any race can come up with some interesting build to put Zergs back in their place later in on in the season. However, as it stands, This will be Jaedong's paradise.

You have to keep in mind the proleague rules though... I bet outsider and destination are more balanced than their stats allow, but because teams have to play a terran somewhere, they have to put them on the maps where they have the best shot, not necessarily the maps that intrinsically favor terran.

In this case, GGPlay's ZvZ is not top tier, Juni has very few losses and very few wins, so GGPlay's stats were more influential (GGPlay has been slumping recently)

I dunno bro.. Why would they send Free against Jangbi/Stork, when they could send ZERO or even GGPlay. Unless there is some huge PvZ imba on the map, which I am not aware of. It really doesnt make sense for you to predict them to send out free vs 2 good toss, when they have 2 good zergs, one of which beat Bisu last time they played.
I mean otherwise, I agree, but Jangbi's PvZ is good, but he really hasnt beat any quality zergs, whereas I think a player of Zero's caliber is enough to beat Jangbi's PvZ.

Apparently it has a lot to do with the short air distance -- overlords can scout really fast, making it hard for protoss and terran to do interesting and unexpected builds and get away with it.

According to the Korean article about it, the short air distances make it really easy for Z to scout the T/P builds. Also, the natural really is susceptible to muta harass, theres no room behind minerals to defend.

My roommate and I ended up with huge spreadsheets and an optimization program written in GAMS (http://www.gams.com/), something normally used for industrial process optimization or so I hear from my roommate (I normally use matlab/Aspen).
Would you mind sharing your projections for the upcoming week for Notice and firebathero? I'm having a difficult time deciding between the two.
