This one is hard for CJ. The only one who has a better zvz than SaviOr is Jaedong -_-. So if they send MJY i guess OZ will instantly send Jaedong. PLUS they have Hiya and the i only see Effort or MJY beating him. If Memory can do it (doubt it) this one is CJs.

How? Jaedong's worst matchup is ZvT yes but you actually need a very solid T to beat Jaedong still. This match kind of opened my eyes to CJ's reliance on zergs and their zergs killing other zergs. They have Effort and Savior, they back up each other depending on the situation but besides that they don't really have a viable person to kill a good zerg with. Now they've run into the only zerg that's pretty much indisputably better than Savior at ZvZ currently.

They can send out a terran and hope for the best but I don't know if Iris/Skyhigh can do it. It's going to be rough for CJ

Well it's more than just players skills in play. There's strategy to who's going to be sent out. CJ coaches know better than to send out savior and let OZ send out jaedong. As long as they don't send out savior, OZ wouldn't send out jaedong for fear of jaedong getting taken out early, so they'll definitely save jaedong for last. What this means is CJ will have a great chance at taking out the first three OZ players while maybe losing one. Hopefully if this is the case, jaedong will be under immense pressure having to win against the rest of CJ players. He's human! He'll be tired! CJ players aren't ACE players!

sKyHigh, Iris, and Movie have all proven in the past that they can beat good zergs. Iris is 5-2 this season against Zergs, sKyHigh is 3-0, and Movie is 2-1.

Now, Jaedong is an exceptional Zerg, and recently he's kicked around both EffOrt and sKyHigh, so I think that pretty much leaves sAviOr/Iris/Movie. Honestly I don't think Movie has what it takes to beat JD, but Iris/sAviOr might be able to do it.

(Z)Jaedong can always be beat with creative cheese and he seems to be pretty weak against mech. (T)Iris is really good with mech, I've heard. Maybe he could get something done. (T)Iris and (T)sKyHigh are CJ's best bets of taking down (Z)Jaedong. (Z)sAviOr probably could do it, but I feel that he'd need a BO-lead to beat JD unless he does something absolutely brilliant. I think Lecaf is going to send JD out last/as late as possible, since Medusa would be the optimal map for him. If they send JD out any sooner, he'll probably be sniped by a Terran on the T-favored maps. Even if they snipe say, (P)Movie on Andromeda, there's still the mech hell of Destination that JD may or may not be able to overcome.

I think that CJ needs a 2- or 3-game lead as Lecaf gets to their final player, and they need to snipe JD by cheese or a Terran before the final map. On Medusa I dont think JD would lose. Their best bet is probably (Z)sAviOr or (Z)EffOrt there.

(T)HiyA is probably Lecaf's second best player at the moment. He's always been weak at TvT, and (T)Memory beating him would be really important for CJ. If (T)Memory loses, I think that CJ's best bet would be (T)Iris, since (T)HiyA is very good vs Protoss. If only (P)Much was in form, they'd just have to send him out here on Colosseum, and that would probably lure (Z)Jaedong out early. (P)Movie could also work, but I think (T)Iris stands the most chance here.

Against (T)Iris, they'd probably send out (T)fOrGG unless they want to use (Z)Jaedong already, which I'd find quite strange. (P)BackHo is also a distant possibility assuming he can play. A lot depends on this match as well. Against (P)Movie they'd probably still send out (T)fOrGG.

CJ needs to win most, if not all of these first 3 games. If they can win the first 3, Lecaf has to send JD out on RH3. Even (T)Memory could steal a game from JD there, but CJ has 2 more good T's to send out on the next T>Z maps.

Bottom line is, CJ has to get a lead early, and they need to make JD come out as soon as possible. Best case scenario would be RH3, but getting (T)Iris or (T)sKyHigh against (Z)Jaedong on Destination should be the realistic goal. He should be taken care of there, but if he won't, Lecaf should win. Final game should be JD vs (Z)sAviOr, and (Z)sAviOr imo needs a BO advantage to beat (Z)Jaedong.

Smart of CJ to send Memory first, that way they can ensure Iris gets to play vT (if memory loses) and they can respond to JD with Effort or Savior. I think CJ's chances are pretty good, will be awesome if Memory wins the first game because then they'll be able to counterpick all night.

I think this match will be decided in the first set. If Memory pulls through, this forces Oz on the defense first, allowing CJ to snipe the following sets. For CJ, they Really don't want to be "forced" to send out EffOrt or sAviOr early because Oz can retaliate with fOrGG/JD. If Memory can win the first set, Oz will mostly likely hold back on fOrGG/JD (keeping them to snipe EffOrt/sAviOr). Instead, I'd expect someone like Lomo/Young (probably Lomo). CJ has quality players to beat anyone Oz sends out (minus JD). The earlier JD comes out, CJ has a better chance which is why winning the first set will be so critical.

Now if HiyA wins the first set, this forces CJ to make the first move. HiyA is quite a dominant player and it'll be tough to take him out. If CJ sends out any zerg to take out HiyA, then set 3 on SCPR will most likely see fOrGG since RH3 is set 4. I'd guess sKyHigh will be sent out for set 2 because sending Kwanro/sAviOr/EffOrt will lead to a loss on either SCPR or RH3 or Andromeda if the CJ zergs make it that far without seeing fOrGG anywhere in between. I don't think they'd want Movie/Much in yet because of the heavy T>P on RH3 a couple maps later.

For CJ to win, they need HiyA to lose early otherwise fOrGG/JD will clean-up in case HiyA doesn't all-kill which is very very possible. HiyA losing early will lead to fOrGG (CJ snipes with Iris/Movie/Much depending on map) or JD (CJ prays that they have a combination of Iris/EffOrt/sAviOr left to win a Bo1) coming out sooner than later.

HiyA winning will lead to Oz victory because of all the statistically favored TvZ maps (fOrGG will snipe any CJ zerg). This forces CJ to send Movie/Much who they would want to save to snipe fOrGG at some Point or CJ will send sKyHigh/Iris which I'd rather prefer they save them for JD.

If Oz wins, it'll be either HiyA/JD all-kill or something like HiyA/fOrGG with 2-3 wins and JD with 1-2 wins 4-1/4-2

If CJ wins, it'll be a total team victory 4-3 or 4-2 like Memory,sKyHigh (1-2 wins), Movie/Much (win against fOrGG), EffOrt/sAviOr/Iris (win against JD). Critical wins will belong to Memory/sKyHigh (and of course whoever beats JD) because early CJ wins will lead to JD coming out earlier. This gives CJ multiple chances to take out JD. If CJ still had (T)DarkElf in their A-team I'd feel so much more confident.

My predictions:
+ Show Spoiler +
(T)Memory < (T)HiyA
(T)sKyHigh > (T)HiyA
(T)sKyHigh > (T)Lomo
(T)sKyHigh < (T)fOrGG
(P)Movie > (T)fOrGG
(P)Movie < (Z)Jaedong
(T)Iris > (Z)Jaedong

CJ > Oz
4 : 3

For the sake of my fantasy team and to restart the 4-1 CJ trend:
Memory > Hiya
Memory < Lomo
Iris > Lomo
Iris > ForGG
Iris > Jaedong

CJ > Oz
4 : 1

Hoping: Lecaf > CJ up to 3-0, then Savior allkills, including a 30min ZvZ with JD involving hive tech.

Oh god, those long, analyzed predictions made me feel more excited than I already am. Thanks to you guys for putting in the effort and writing those up (though the anti-Lecaf flare in them is interesting).

for the sake of my fpl, I hope that:

Yeah, savior plays twice. It's just that epic.

With an epic 40-game all-map-encompassing ZvZ that isn't some retarded BO win but instead some insane microfest reminiscent to the old days where pros played instead of robots.
