Hey everyone who was at SoCal LAN 3, I would like to compile a list of things that I could give to the manager at Howies to see if he can do anything about fixing them / making the LAN experience better.
I already got answers about the following two things:
1) They are fixing an issue with their comps about mouse sensitivity, so we will be able to adjust/change the mouse sensitivity by the time of the LAN. HOWEVER, we can't install our own drivers, it's their company policy in order to prevent abuse, etc.
2) The screen size... they said that the only thing they could do is change the monitors to not have scaling, aka aspect ratio or whatever.. obviously this would make the screens smaller but it should be able to fix the widescreen issue, correct?
Anything else you would like me to talk to the manager about? Now's the time to speak up~

Other issues included not being able to go on the internet..
Not being able to game on b.net..
Which leads to not having all map choices.
Not being able to plug in older mouse/keyboards and even headphones (because comps are on the ceiling). Can they provide the ps2/usb adapters and maybe extender of some kind to headphone jack?
I'll probably be there. As far as buy-in, 20$ is good. What maps will we be using?
PS- Did you ever get the replays from scl3?

you could game on bnet ? I'm 90% sure I was able to download maps from bnet, I wento n east op Lzuruha with Ogenki to get some maps.
I did get the reps, I gave em to diggity to make some VODS, then forgot about them =P I can make a rep-pack and upload it if you like.
I'll make sure to ask about usb adapters, and uh not sure about maps yet

if alot of people are going to be flying in and such maby we could set up some sort of a hangout for the night before? someones house nearby or a hotel room or something?

I wouldn't mind I live fairly close ;; as long as its planned beforehand and stuff :p

We gotta get Diggity to do his thang and get this live casted this time. That idea is sweet and needs to happen. I think we're gonna have some pretty high level games for just a local tourney...

I gotta see if the real Ghostclaw(s) will come along as well.
Although ghostclaw does sound awesome.
If Diggity can't cast, I will just for fun. The games are too high level to not have someone record/cast  And i'm going to lose in the first round :'(

Some computers could, some couldn't it, some lagged, etc. It was rather annoying because I couldn't play bnet games in the downtime.
We need a dedicated person with ICCUP maps to stay on b.net on time so we can DL maps from them.
and yes, upload reps plz.
