I'm glad boxer won, and it was exciting to see the nuke/valks, but nothing in his play shows me he's going to go far in this tournament. He was just lucky this zerg player was a scrub. The games were sloppy.
Hopefully Boxer starts taking the tournament seriously.
*Flame suit on* It's sad when people confuse innovation and creativity with luck and chance.

Some parts were sloppy (like his first marine push in game 1)... but it was worth staying up for, because of the innovation(unpredictableness?)/excitement - what else is there to starcraft besides the excitement?

I'm sure he wouldn't do this against Jaedong, he just figured he could embarass this kid because he is 1-14 and probably nervous.

Oh god, I missed Boxer and Nukes.

*Flame suit on* But you see, the sloppiness helps make the game more exciting. A smooth game doesn't have that certain spicy flavour. At first you think that Boxer is incredibly sloppy in failing his attacks. Then you sit on the edge of your seat as Boxer holds back the oncoming mutas and goes for daring drops. Then you finally climax as Boxer shreds their lurkers with godlike micro and nukes their expos in what is seemingly an amazing comeback.

I am still so pumped, I cant sleep

I'll be brave and (sort of) agree with you here. As I was watching the game, I was thinking "This looks like B.net attack or something." I think Boxer played pretty well given that he's gone almost 2 years now without regular training. Of course I'll always be cheering for Boxer, but I don't have incredible confidence in his ability to take on a great player, at least until he can shake off the rust.
That said, I'd say progamers play more predictably now than ever, and Boxer is pretty much gonna mindfuck everyone once his mechanics get up to par with his tactics. But I'm really not expecting much until he gets back into SKT.
edit: oh, but it was definitely worth staying up for. I'd agree with a past poster that the best games of the year so far have been July vs Best (partially because July is my favorite player, and I play Z myself), and these games rivaled those in excitement.

Just fyi Boxer was 3-10 in his last 13 TvZ games before this. The game just before this 13 game span was his famous win over Savior on Monty Hall with mech which was at the end of an epic TvZ win streak.

I like how the spoiler tags are done when it was Boxers match.
