I completely and utterly agree. That game was more fun to watch than july vs best and july vs best was the best game I'd watched all year.

omg i hit orgasm when i watched those 2 games.

I for one didn't know the answers to those questions so thanks for the interview

Yeah, I feel like no game this year will surpass tonight. Unless he somehow takes down Jaedong in the GSL finals, but that's less likely than Boxer playing standard.

My god that was amazing. u are overdoing it a bit. it sure was epic to watch these games but bear in mind why the progaming scene has become what it is. HE sure wont be able to pull that stuff on a competent player, let alone one of the current top 20.

so so SO happy that my stream stopped lagging and the sound got fixed just in time for those two games.

Watching Boxers games today makes me totally happy AND sad at the same time. It really makes me aware of what strategic depths we (or Starcraft) have lost during the last couple of years due to the fully mapped out game mechanics heavy standard builds which are so common nowadays.
I mean these games were just sooo entertaining to watch, because you just didn't know what Boxer was going to do and if he could pull it off. Especially in the first game I just sat there gaping that he really managed to win the game.
And it really reminded me that this kind of feelings were just common 4-6 years ago and I had these feelings quite often (not only from Boxer VODs). Nowadays, I sometimes are amazed by great micro feats like Jaedong's defilers, but I am not totally blown away. As many builds nowadays are so similar or differ only in minor points and are played that often, one can usually really early predict the outcome of a game (if there are no major micro/macro errors). It then mainly depends on mechanic execution as the strategic plan is more or less mapped out beforehand.
I know that Boxer could most probably only win these games due to the inexperience of his opponent who just lost his head instead of staying calm and playing it defensively, but nevertheless it was great. But: if one of the mechanic kings like Jaedong, Flash or whoever would play a little more like Boxer, they could probably move their play into the next level. And this is what I hope for. Regarding game mechanics we are getting pretty much close to the end of the flagstaff, so it is time to move on a combination of mind-boggling mechanics and creative, highly intelligent strategies. So, Plexa, I hope you are right with your "To Bolt is to Boxer" article in the "final edits" section!!!!

Boxer will nuke your house, noob.
And I think you misread his post, he was saying that Boxer does'nt have to beat the top players, he already did through this untouchable pimp play.

Oh man, I know I'm going to get flamed, but was I the only one cringing during game 1 and most of game 2? Not sure if it was worth staying up for.
I'm glad boxer won, and it was exciting to see the nuke/valks, but nothing in his play shows me he's going to go far in this tournament. He was just lucky this zerg player was a scrub. The games were sloppy.
Hopefully Boxer starts taking the tournament seriously.
*Flame suit on*
