But I can't see go.go beating both of them in the 4th and 5th games.

JD managed to stay in the game with that glorious surprise burrowing, but the two things that make him so good were ineffective because Frozean used his medic-marine so well against his mutalisk harass and his scourge micro.

I don't know man I thing good players like JD or Flash should go for safer builds because they can win anyway in the end even if they don't start as good as their opponent... Fast expans is too risk for them

Nah, I think Saracen's analysis is the most correct out of all of us so far. That bunker (I think) was out of range of the hatchery but maybe the minerals and and things make it really hard to drone defend a bunker rush or something. But Jaedong canceling out of the nat hatch was a pretty bad mistake and he had to end it right after he burrow rushed Frozean because he was way to far behind. If Frozean hadn't build that one firebat, JD would have won.

And Jaedong fought hard but 1 base zerg just isn't that great compared to 1 base terran. And it didn't help that he invest into to tech that ultimately did not do much damage. And took his nat at the same time Frozean was trying to push Jaedong's nat. It's really a miracle that Jaedong was able to hold off Frozean's entire army with just the threat of muta for that long. Long enough to get not 1, not 2, but 4 sunks up. And lurkers.

Up at 6.

gogo with rax in the center after supply. Up goes 1 supply rax gas. Effectively identical builds so far.

gogo making marines from his rax, but Up does not. 1 marine making his way to Up's base, but retreats. Up sees gogo's floating rax in the middle of the map with his scouting scv. Gogo's 2 marines are now on his ramp, preventing Up's scv from entering.

gogo promptly starts a CC, while Up goes for a starport with addon. Up also has 2 marines on his ramp preventing gogo from scouting as well.

I think that proxy raxes are really underrated. You're going to float them anyways and the threat of a proxy scv rush is probably worth it in and of itself anyways. It's not like Zerg or Protoss where the first building is a considerable investment; Terran it's just 50 minerals lost mining time (or even less) build your first rax somewhere interesting that's a threat just by the virtue of placement

Up's doing some pretty brutal 1 base tank-wraith harass. He's expaned by now, but waiting for seige for the contain.

And go.go landed his rax in Up's main and build a marine and picked off a scv, haha.
