also, note that neither player did any mind games really. i had hoped (but not expected) jaedong would do some sneaky or unexpected play to catch his opponent off guard, but nada really, except for the start of game 1.

He still owned the best ZvT player 3-0 easily, I'd say that's pretty surprising. Anyway it really showed how these guys are on the same team, Jaedong anticipated those dropships so incredibly well, and forgg just knew exactly when Jaedong tried to ambush him. Still really disappointed, very skilled display but just way too one sided, I just want to see some great games, especially TvZ has been lacking that lately.

No it just proves how little you know of playing terran. If you honestly think that's all what forgg did you're crazy. Seriously, go on iccup and defend and tech to 3-3 marine medic every game and watch how you're overrun before you even have a single vessel. You have no idea how hard TvZ is lol, forgg makes it look simple but he played like a god. Jaedong isn't unbeatable, it doesn't take some kind of super special strategy to beat him, forgg just played better today because he knew Jaedong so extremely well.

It's not like Jaedong sucked it up or couldn't compete or was doomed from the start when he had to face a Terran player. Jaedong's weird decision to sunken rush against forGG just shows how the dynamics between teammates can throw people off the game we're used to seeing them play... though forGG's performance showed how that kind of insider knowledge can be a huge help if you prepare for it the right way. For all the people whining about TvZ imba, how many Terrans had beaten Jaedong in a Bo5 series up until this point?

Still, i do think T > Z : Z is not as forgiving as T. You can't sit. You can't turtle. They are not cost efficient unless constant micro care. And while you give this said care, you also have to expand and macro like mad. That being said, forGG's performance here was simply amazing. I mean, he even beat JD in a macro game...

Game 1 was close, the fact that Jaedong got 4 gas was scary. It might had been ForGG's drop which took down Jaedong's evolution chambers that did the most damage. The results that ForGG won the finals wasn't too unexpected. Terran is usually favored and this map pool helps even more.
