Anyway. ForGG, although he has recently beat all the big names, still has to prove if he really belongs to the top or if he was just lucky this one time. He wouldn't be the first to win a starleague once and afterwards fade into irrelevance again.

However, the one major thing I noticed about JD is that his defiler play wasn't up to his usual standards (e.g. compared to the period when JD was on a 14-0 ZvT streak). In that massive ultraling vs Terran ball battle in the middle of the map, JD only used one defiler, so there was no plague usage and the swarm didn't even provide cover for the ultras. If he had put down a few more swarms, he could've easily overrun the tank line and turned that battle around or at least came out even. Same thing happened again a bit later at JD's min-only... not the best swarm placement, but by that point the game was already firmly in ForGG hands. Again, no one else noticed that was 0 plague usage in the entire series? Poor defiler play is what really lost JD the 1st game IMO. Compare that to JD or Savior (or even GGPlay during his OSL run) in their prime (remember Savior vs. Iris game 3).

You're forgetting that in game 1 Jaedong started off with a 9 pool and a failed offensive sunken, then he lost spire and evo chambers to drop. He was behind the whole game, that's why the defilers were late. Game 2 ended too quickly for defilers, and game three was just a beastly display of unit production by Forgg and Jaedong's defilers never had a chance to be effective.

Is two really a large problem? How much do they celebrate after they win a league? What. The. Fuck. "He won flash by reading his play and countering it hard." Don't you beat anybody by reading their plays and countering it? There are many reasons why you lose a lot after you win a big tournament: (1) You are happy with your win and lose focus. (2) You celebrate a lot and lose practice time. (3) Everyone is analyzing your style and figuring out how to beat you.

Not sure you are joking or not, but ForGG beat the top players from all 3 races, Kal (P), Flash (T), and Jaedong (Z)

Oh well, Forgg is interesting. His play is so unspectacular yet he wins. Reminds me of OOv. Just that style of Terran where every battle they are prepared correctly with units in the right positions to make it like they are defending. Combined with seemingly perfect macro..
