I'm proud to be 1 of 109!

As am I.

I really don't see why so many people doubted fOrGG so much, it was obvious after his raping of FlaSh that he was a complete beast.

I expected that Jaedong will have a hard time, but I still expected him to win 3-2, not lose 0-3...
Anyway. ForGG, although he has recently beat all the big names, still has to prove if he really belongs to the top or if he was just lucky this one time. He wouldn't be the first to win a starleague once and afterwards fade into irrelevance again.

Oh, whoa~ Not particularly a JD fan, but seeing that 0-3 is...a bit shocking. =S I voted for Jaedong in liquibet, too. Hmm, any recommended games? x3 ?

Game 1 was definitely the best.

Jaedong, I am so disappointed.

Anyways, congrats on ForGG's part. Those were some awesome games.

Meh I only got to see the first game live..... but i'm dissapointed that Jaedong didn't win... I would have really liked from him to take this MSL... But I also wanted a Jaedong v Flash finals... I guess there is always next time... ForGG did play really well, and I'll definitely be watching to see how he's doing in a month.

Dammit, my liquibet rank rises but my heart falls...I knew forgg had it in him, I even said he could pull off a julyzerg but I never imagined in such a dominating way. His macro was godly and his micro was flawless, JD had no answer. I don't think I've seen flash play TvZ this good before. Back to the drawing board for the swarm.

Just saw the first game. ForGG macroed like a fucking beast and JD played pretty well too with some excellent scourge control.

However, the one major thing I noticed about JD is that his defiler play wasn't up to his usual standards (e.g. compared to the period when JD was on a 14-0 ZvT streak). In that massive ultraling vs Terran ball battle in the middle of the map, JD only used one defiler, so there was no plague usage and the swarm didn't even provide cover for the ultras. If he had put down a few more swarms, he could've easily overrun the tank line and turned that battle around or at least came out even. Same thing happened again a bit later at JD's min-only... not the best swarm placement, but by that point the game was already firmly in ForGG hands.

Again, no one else noticed that was 0 plague usage in the entire series? Poor defiler play is what really lost JD the 1st game IMO. Compare that to JD or Savior (or even GGPlay during his OSL run) in their prime (remember Savior vs. Iris game 3).

You're forgetting that in game 1 Jaedong started off with a 9 pool and a failed offensive sunken, then he lost spire and evo chambers to drop. He was behind the whole game, that's why the defilers were late.
Game 2 ended too quickly for defilers, and game three was just a beastly display of unit production by Forgg and Jaedong's defilers never had a chance to be effective.
Pulp can move, baby!

forgg for PR #1?

He walked trough an INCREDIBLY hard road to win this MSL.

I think frogg won't stick around as powerhouse for next season, look at his pro league, up's and downs, up's and downs. He won flash by reading his play and countering it hard, the moment you win title all nonames or semi nonames will do same to you and imo frogg has enough weak spots in his play.

What. The. Fuck.

"He won flash by reading his play and countering it hard."

Don't you beat anybody by reading their plays and countering it? There are many reasons why you lose a lot after you win a big tournament:
(1) You are happy with your win and lose focus.
(2) You celebrate a lot and lose practice time.
(3) Everyone is analyzing your style and figuring out how to beat you.
I think number one and three are the biggest ones. People are trying to see WHY you won the league, and seeing if you have anything they can steal. Is two really a large problem? How much do they celebrate after they win a league?

Not sure you are joking or not, but ForGG beat the top players from all 3 races, Kal (P), Flash (T), and Jaedong (Z)

I was expecting Jaedong to win, but ForGG's macro in those games was just plain insane. It was just a constant stream of units, each group of reinforcements larger than the last. Take into account his improved micro, and he's definitely going to be a powerhouse TvZ player from now on as well.

Man Jaedong really threw away that first game by playing like a moron. I really have no idea where his units were(ie he had none the whole game until he made ultras) and why do some Zergs seem to think going straight for defiler with no lurkers is a good idea? Might as well have just gone ultra and supported himself with the defiler later imo; [

Oh well, Forgg is interesting. His play is so unspectacular yet he wins. Reminds me of OOv. Just that style of Terran where every battle they are prepared correctly with units in the right positions to make it like they are defending. Combined with seemingly perfect macro..
