now i have just realized
i just cant list 5 top z players.

1-jaedong
2-july (arguably)
3-luxury (arguably)
the end?

savior of course would not be on that list...so...damnit...no more zerg players?

If they make the maps more balanced and change the strat around to adapt, zerg will live. Im afraid it isnt doing that well right now and the map pool further makes it worse.

Only newbies, cheese, and mandatory military service can beat someone's favorite player. We're all fanboys at heart.

By the way stop arguing guys NC YellOw is the best zerg ever. Fuck results, influence and inspiration is what really counts.

Yellow is not the best zerg ever, however he is the most important. Hes the one who showed zergs are contenders, without him july/savior/ may have not even played and they both more so july also revolutionized zerg and are all incredibly important

I think Freemura and HOT did that before Yellow.

yellow is important because he was a SERIOUS zerg contender for an extended period of time.

and also he's good looking. have you seen freemura and H.O.T.?

i think an in-form forGG would beat an in-form Best, but what would be fun is watching forGG against an in-form Stork or Jangbi

Out of every final I have seen, that was by far the most boring. Crap play from Jaedong, I couldn't believe his micro. I am only saying that in comparison to his usual play... ForGG had sick timing, but honestly, JD was not with it. Pretty uneventful games, just getting timing owned 3 times.

I don't know what to think right now... I'm just kinda upset. I was routing for JD, but it would have been ok if forGG took it in a beautiful 5 game series. But 3:0?? Besides, I could't watch live so when I downloaded the VOD and saw only 3 files, I knew that when forGG won the first game, I didn't really wanted to watch the last 2 games. I was so pissed off. Still am. I don't want to hate on forGG, but he is earning merits for it.

Wow. Game 1 was incredible, I was at the edge of my seat the whole game. It felt like no matter how many units ForGG could muster, Jaedong still had this wounded beast kind of dangerousness about him, that he could strike a knock-out blow despite being completely overwhelmed and outclassed by ForGG. But alas, ForGG's dropship play prevailed.

Jaedong's passive style in Game 2 cost him the victory, imo. He did not really do any damage with his mutas and his lurkers poped easily as Forgg displayed some nice rine micro.

Game 3 oozed with frantic desperation on Jaedong's part; he made pathetic ling attacks which were thwarted by ForGG's firebats and scvs, mutas died by the handfull when he sent them on suicide missions into ForGG's turret-ridden base. The massacre that was the final battle made Jaedong look like a convulsing corpse.

GG.

Yes it is real. This is from years ago. It was from a TV ad HOT and Reach did together.

I agree haji, July/oov was just... wow...

But anyways, I had high hopes for this series after game 1 then I don't know what happened.

I was talking with QI, and he dropped the line "Seems 3 gas hive is outdated"
I think Forgg has upped the ante for zergs.
Then again he's the only one doing it his way.

Hwasin's doing it his way.

we'll see what zergs figure out agianst the 3rd gas deny / timing before hive style terrans.

They just need to go back to playing the way savior did in his prime. 3 hatch muta + early ups and speedlings--> 3rd gas-- late hive with a huge amount of lurkers --> finish with ultra/defiler. Oh, and fucking amazing flanks + positing

The difference is they need to add a +1 range attack upgrade. The way terran is playing now , as you mentioned, is designed around moving out with the maximum number of the ideal mix of units just before hive arrives. This often involves moving out as soon as 2/1 upgrades finish, or at least 1/1. As I'm sure you know this makes lurkers 33% less effective as they take 3 shots(hitting at once) instead of 2(again hitting at once) to kill a marine.

The final game is a good example of why. If you plan to defend with lurkers in midgame the +1 range seems almost necessary given the level of top terran pros these days. You could see in the footage several situations where 2 lurker shots hit a clump of marines and they all lived. In a game like bw every marine counts It's definitely worth the 175/100 (or 225[50 for the drone]/100 or 100/100[youll need an evo anyway] depending on how you want to look at it)

Being healthy, it has been said, really consists of having the same disease as everybody else.
