I bet you're a nada fan, or a july hater. Haha.

i'm thinking it'll be 3-0 best.
outside of hwangrado, i think july can only win with some sort of cheese or successful early pressure. though if july does take one of the first three it will probably go to game 5

Cant wait to see this. I loved the two semi's. Glad Best got to the finals but I think we will see some great play from July and he will take it, he better!

July 3-0 EZ.
Seriously though, July needs this. This isn't just about him, it's about the old vs the new, and the old desperately, desperately needs a comeback at this point.

If Best wins it's just another starleague title to some "guy". But if July wins, boy then we have some real history. The first zerg to win a golden mouse, the second progamer ever to win one, the simple message that says "yes not only nada can do it", the hype and love from fans that had to endure drama and problems with julys future and past finaly pay off.
July has to win this. He absolutly has to. And if he does, it will be a great mark in the history of starcraft progaming.
God Of War. We believe! This is pretty much exactly the way I feel. Though only following pro SC since mid -05, having to retroactively watch earlier games, I've felt for a long time that July has been working so hard but fallen short on numerous occations. The guy's been through numerous paradigms, yet still somehow maintained his own touch and flavor. Considering how the game has changed tremendously over the years, I think it's fantastic to see a guy like July still play his aggresive low-econ way of Zerg.
Ironically enough, speaking of a man with obvious reluctance to change, I think he's the most refreshing player to watch in pro starcraft nowadays. I love how (as someone said above) you know what's coming early game with July, but you still can't bloody stop it. It's beautiful. Even more beautiful would it be if he managed to turn a complete 180 after an initial early pool or something - and go completely macro frenzy. Fine, a series against BeSt is reallllly not the time and place to start playing super-macro-mode, but damn it'd be impressive if he could pull something like that off against a defensive BeSt and/or just sauron-zerg him.
I really feel like he's earned up to that golden mouse over the years and it'd just be really sweet to give it to that chubby-cheeked panda as a retirement gift - cause honestly, I think this is his last flash in the pan. BeSt, with that truckload o' talent he's carrying around, will have another day and another OSL to take.
With that said - Tushin fighting!

Best's play is so amazing that I'd be utterly surprised if he loses.
Again, like in the games vs Luxury, if Best survives the early game he will ass-rape July.
All in all, I will be happy whoever wins it.

Even with a Golden Mouse on the line, I still feel that BeSt is hungrier for this OSL championship. After his 1-2 loss to Stork in the Bacchus OSL he was clearly destroyed and since then there has just been this fire in his eyes whenever he steps into the booth. He's also gone 22-5 since o.o.
I also think that BeSt had a much more difficult road to the finals - he had to 3-0 the group of death with NaDa, JangBi, and Stork and then play past Much and Luxury, who everyone was starting to think was the best Zerg in the world after taking down Flash. July has looked good, but to be serious he's played maybe one or two decent opponents since his switch to STX SouL this year (Mind and Luxury).
Rock and BackHo basically handed their series to July. I just don't think there's any basis for thinking that he's in the shape that BeSt is in at this point.

If July wins the Golden Mouse he will become arguably the best zerg in Starcraft history.
Golden Mouse with titles over a 4 year period > 3 MSL wins in 5 consecutive MSL finas + royal road? I think so!

I hope you know that the last protoss winning OSL was anytime. A guy that's supposed to retire. How is that "everything all the time"?
And BTW: Fuck protoss.

Julyzerg, I know you can win!

How is that "everything all the time"? Terran have won 11 of 23 osl finals. Protoss have won 7 of 23 osl finals. Zerg have won 5 of 23 osl finals. There first osl winner was in 2004. I think protoss can wait a little while longer.
