Straight up, July walks all over Protoss. There is nothing more to it, his level of play vs P is just outstanding. His game sense is perfect, he knows every possible option that they could pursue and acts clean and casually to it. I really don't think Best can take this, nor do I want him to. This would be beyond epic for someone as old school as July to take the title. He would be showing that he is one of the best Broodwar players of all time, if not the best, period. To win in multi-generational tournaments is amazing, that just means that he can adapt to skill levels and play styles unlike no other player. I am really holding out for this one. | ||

The flow of ZvP, especially with July, is so amorphous with players. July can pull all sorts of cards for this series, and whether he gets air control or not does not mean its a sure thing. In fact I think Best / Kal have a bit of difference of style in PvZ. Best has better macro/game sense, kal likes to throw as many punches as possible and hopes to suffocate the enemy into a disadvantage. I agree with FS with "kal sucks", the guy plays dumb every so often. | ||

If July can force his style on Best, Best will lose. If Best can force the mid-game on July, I think Best will win. Saying that July has really good ZvP isn't really that definitive of a statement to make; he beat Blackho and Rock to get here and both aren't really known for their PvZ. His ZvP might have been really good in the past but in this new era of PvZ it's hard to say with such a small sample size of games. | ||

That said, given July's record against Protoss, it is time for him to lose a Bo5 ZvP. 3:1 for Best, possibly 3:2 if Hwarangdo buggers it up. | ||

If Best wins it's just another starleague title to some "guy". But if July wins, boy then we have some real history. The first zerg to win a golden mouse, the second progamer ever to win one, the simple message that says "yes not only nada can do it", the hype and love from fans that had to endure drama and problems with julys future and past finaly pay off. July has to win this. He absolutly has to. And if he does, it will be a great mark in the history of starcraft progaming. God Of War. We believe! | ||
