Best never reached 80% in PvP. Whoever organized the TLPD statistics made a mistake by not including some of Best's matches in Survivor Tournaments and Dual Tournaments. His PvP skills are something to behold, there's no doubting in that, but lets not get carried away by incorrect statistics. In his relatively short career, he lost four times to Stork, twice to Lucifer, twice to Jangbi and once each to Rock, Bisu and ForU. That's eleven defeats, not five as TLPD records.
I'm bitter as hell because Luxury should have taken that series. Best's played very well, but it was nothing a top class zerg couldn't handle, not in this map pool. Luxury is going to have sleepless nights over this because he knows that he screwed up, and he is a better player than what he has shown tonight. Survivor and ODT are all in TLPD, what are you talking about? http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/individual-leaguesOffline prelims are missing, but that doesnt matter Well, since you're asking. I'll mention some matches TLPD doesn't record. The most recent match TLPD doesn't record was Best's match against Lucifer in the 14th Survivor Tournament in Feb 4th 2008. Best lost 1-2 to Lucifer and failed to qualify for the MSL. TLPD hasn't recorded this. If you don't believe this match happened, take a look at Lucifer's winning interview (it's in Korean, not sure if any English site has this match covered). http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=51764&db=interview&cate=&page=1&field=&kwrd= Gonna check into this, thx

are there any interesting newcomers tearing up the proleagues? i haven't noticed any
Yeah but then again every final would end up being a draw
Edit: Kwanro is doing pretty good in PL but he is not a newcomer. The only newcomer that actually did pretty good in the GSL is Effort . He even won a game versus FBH in PL but was kinda easy win , but props for him takeing out the newby dancer .

great fucking news! I leave the game at 1:2 and come back too see that he won 3:2! Wonderful!

both give his career stats as 45-23 ie no extra games lost or inserted
EDIT: upon progamizing the interiew, it was the mbc prelims not the 'survivor' where every game is broadcasted... hence not an official match which goes on your permanent record

TLPD only records games played on stage, live on televsion, not offline qualifiers.

Well gj at best winning, because quite frankly i am not impressed with lux play and i would hate to see the finals ruin with either ZvZ or another poor performance from lux ZvP all in..
Basicaly all lux did was denied the rush, all in hydra, and thats it.. Like he cant play if the game doesnt end quickly... Not a champion material .

Just fyi, credit to both Plexa and Carnac for sorting that issue out and Letmelose for raising it. Always good to see people are keeping an eye out for ways to improve the TLPD. : )

+1
Also, some Zergs:
EffOrt, 815, Hyun, Calm has actually been doing pretty well lately, what about Rumble? Only plays 2v2 but has shown some (sort of) promising results in Starleagues...
OK yeah, Zerg pretty much sucks right now. It's JD and.......

Exactly, no one... Luxury is good ZvT though. But JD is pretty much alone at the top. Then again, you could say the same for Terrans with Flash clearly at the top. But Protoss have tons of strong players. Protoss is the new Terran in Korea.

Top tier: Best/Jaedong/Flash Below: Bisu/Luxury Below: Forgg/Lomo/Kal Below: Jangbi/July/Much etc
imo; sure there are more protoss in the leagues, i'd say that protoss/zerg have flipped while terran has stayed the same

I totally disagree with this. There are tons of established (proven winners who are still on top of their game) and up-and-coming Terrans:
Hwasin, Flash, Mind, NaDa, Midas, Sea, FBH
And these guys are looking hot lately:
fOrGG, Lomo, Canata, RuBy, HiyA, Really

My mistake. I thought earlier rounds of Survivor Tournaments and Dual Tournaments were offical Kespa matches as well.
