I was wondering when someone was finally gonna do a succesful 2 gate rush and destroy an assimilator on that map, unless I somehow missed that happening before. Didn't really expect Sea to beat him either way.

Nevermind the BBS games and the fact that Daezang couldnt play his way out of a paper bag at the time when Sea beat him on this map. Nevermind the fact that EVERY TIME A PROTOSS HAS DONE A BUILD MEANT TO KILL THOSE ASSIMILATORS EARLY ON, THEY HAVE WON. Nevermind the fact that once those assimilators are dead, the protoss has complete map control and a ton of gas and there isn't a damn thing terran can do about it. The map is 6-6 it must be completely balanced!!!!!!!!!!!

He was 10th last Power Rank and OFF IT the month before. Why? Because he wasn't playing well. Why is he 5th right now? Because he's playing well! This shit isn't rocket science, and there are far too many people who don't put any thought into the things they say. No matter where Sea is placed there will be a chorus of people to say HES TOO HIGH FAKESTEVE YOU ARE BIASED AND STUPID GOD I HATE YOU

He got too greedy and tried to go for the main. Rock had 1 carrier, so killing the assimilator asap and raping one main would have won sea the game. (Korean commentators pointed this out as well) He certainly had opportunities ;o just bad decision making

Rock could easily afford those carriers and goons without that base. If you saw how large Rock's goon force was.. I mean at worst he'd have half that many goons if he lost that base and that'd still be enough to seal it Sea's error in that game was the build order itself, he obviously had a backup plan if he lost his assimilator but i didnt see a path to victory at all once rock's carriers began

You said he can spread goons, but if you look back, Rock BARELY was able to push the tank back to take potshots at the assimilator... And if Sea scouted it out, he coulda planted a bunker...all I'm saying that taking down the assimilator is not automatic

I mean, I can understand Bisu reverting to a strategy he feels comfortable with with an advantage, but I didn't get enough of the game to be able to judge if the DT's were worth it by holding Mind back in his base. Because after all, even if they did no damage the time they bought could have won the game -> and I didn't get to judge that, so I was wondering what people who saw it thought. I don't think it delayed him at all. As already mentioned, it killed a few SCV's, a supply depot and forced a few mines. Maybe those few extra mines would have made the push more powerful at the time Mind pushed out, but I don't think it affected Mind's timing at all. Mind's play is so good. I'm liking him more and more every time I watch the guy

How he, after that, goes on to using that strat over and over again in starleagues is either moronic or super-ballsy. I mean let's face it, it's rarely done him any good, since everyone's prepared for it nowadays. He obviously planned arbiters, so he needed archives anyways. He was always going to get a shuttle, so the only two "extra" units he builds are the two DTs. He kept both DTs and shuttle alive for a very long time, and he did kill some stuff, and made Mind waste mines, time and scans back home in stead of somewhere dangerous for Bisu. In addition Mind had used a lot of scans before the Arbiters arrived. He might not have been empty, but it seemed to me that he could not scan as much as he wanted during that last battle. Defending vs DTs does not come for free (vs a good player).
