However, proper scouting by Savior made him realize what was up and an overlord is taunting the probe, who decides to build a forge after the first gate. Meanwhile savior has pooled and expanded when his zerglings were out.
One photon building near the gate, and two zealots are out. Another photon in his main.

Savior tries to build a sunken to stop the photon advance, and forces the zealots to attack. They do, and bring down the sunken, lings and hatchery with them.
Savior has readied a lair in the meantime and is forced to put down a sunken in his main. He's really in trouble.

That wasn't good at all. It was just the worst savior's played in his life. I'm 100% sure I would have outlasted him if I scouted that cheese. Why go lair? Why not make the sunken at your expo right away (when there's 3 zealots instead of 6)? Why split 8 lings around to suicide onto the cannon (and randomly pull ONE back)? Even if 4-5 survived with the cannon down, they can't do anything vs the zealots. He had to either stay home and together or sunken hard and send ALL lings to the nexus.

Yeah, snipe&lure some zealots, then pull back. And if he counters by putting the goons in front then you can possibly do a major attack. Of course then you do put zealots first.
Spear shouldn't have attacked there in the first place. You can only win after your opponent makes a mistake.

Variation and evolution are crucial but to have a flood of one-hit wonders who won't necessarily be contenders is not fantastic either. The Dual tournament is notorious for producing these caliber of players and then spitting them out when they can't handle the pressure of maintaining themselves in the next season.
And, can these players win a series?
I guess we'll find out.

But why is everyone saying that spear lost that game?, I thought his build was pretty slick and if NaDa hadn't pulled those ~6 scvs in time + microed well he surely would have lost.
Spear was behind after that and letting those two vultures sneak by (which happens to everyone) just sealed the deal.

I believe it was that Spear's game plan failed when he wasn't able to contain him long enough which was actually good play by Nada... but then I think Spear was thinking of some allin goon without obs... which was very stupid.

im pretty sure Casy is out... and wildcard happens when the player leaves in the tournament due to something like joining the army or something else

Wow, savior put on a piss poor performance. He scouted the proxy by best in time, yet still managed to lose with some terrible decision making. His game vs nada was laughable at best, most lopsided tvz match I've seen in awhile. Nada seems to be in excellent form, considering the competition I think GGplay will be his only real challenge.

And that loss to Jangbi was because Jangbi showed some INSANE stormage I don't think anyone will deny Nada was winning at that point until Jangbi used crazy micro in a macro battle. Nada's in great shape.

I feel like NaDa is so close right now to being able to make a serious go at this OSL. His recent games have been so close to defeating quite excellent players. Its like he just needs a little push to be back in top notch dominating form.

Even if jangbi is not what you consider to be a great player, you can't deny that jangbi played a monstrous pvt game in that particular game. Pvt is also jangbi's best matchup by far. Even mediocre players can bring out fantastic games once in awhile. If jangbi played the best game of his life, and Nada played normally (it is PL after all) and lost, it doesn't mean much. I think Nada is in pretty good shape atm.

That's it, never voting for Savior again because of emotional reasons. I knew Best would make it (the game where he played Stork last season rly impressed me), I just wasn't sure if it would be Savior or Nada... but I hoped... and hope in this guy is obviously misplaced because he doesn't seem to care very much either.

Some of the best ever OSL's were long before Savior became anything to write home about. And I'm a huge Savior fan.
I won't deny that I'm bothered though. Savior, Jaedong, AND Casy have ALL been eliminated ALREADY. 3 of my preferred gamers already out. Ideally, the line-up would be more like Jaedong, Casy, NaDa, Savior.
