MBC v OGN - Game Channel Derby #2March 20th-21st 18:30 KSTLinks: source / first derby

There will be no mirror matches except possibly the 1st game. In which case, after the 2v2 is over both teams will have to send out fresh players.
This mean if perhaps MBC is kicking ass with [Pusan] and OGN doesn't have anyone confident enough to take him down, they can play the 2v2 card, and force MBC to take out [Pusan], and since they cannot send out a player twice, [Pusan] is taken care of.
Each team will have 5 minutes of set up time to make it go faster.

Cool set-up. It'll be interesting to see how the coaches deal with the different rules. I put the advantage on MBC because of two reasons: coach Ha is awesome and MBC Heroes has a stronger player base (and diverse). Not to underestimate OGN, of course, but I think MBC will probably take this.

I think going obs first spelled the game for Pusan.
Timing was everything in that game and if he went reaver first he would have probably had a reaver to support his goon army when the push came.

Shark is proceeding to go with just muta. he left hurt mutas in the middle to heal but gogo's squat heads out of the base and spots them! Kills of 2 hurt mutas.
Meanwhile Shark continues to harass. He build 3 new sunkens at the nat.
I do not see him teching to lurkers. Gogo with another mnm force, slightly larger, attacks the nat again, and again gets killed. he lost about 15 rines in that force.

Ruby can't micro. At least in that game his micro sucked. Did you see how he ran away from THREE lurks with TWENTY mnm. That is pure fail. Most terrans nwo are bland and play a maco game. They are boring as hell to watch. Ruby is one of those players. He has stromg mechanics and macro but his micro, inginuity suck. I do not like and will not like these types of T players, EVER.

Well well you are being unreasonable, TheTyranid. Lux pushed this game into macro based play. Ruby adapted and when the game was in mid they both has so much to think about and so little time so of course ruby couldn't be everywhere at the same time. CONCLUSION; It is hard to micro in a big macro focused game! I think ruby did really well in thoes fights where he focused on the micro.

He's not telling his opinion with things like "RuBy's micro sucks". He can say he dislikes RuBy's playing style or there are players with superior micro to ruby, but not that his micro sucks.

Fielding a twin is the only logical choice for OGN now. They have to field Yarnc or Lux.

Interesting BOs to say the least. Leta expanding to his natural while Ruby is building a CC in his main. 2 wraiths from Leta go for a harass but are chased away by 2 cloaked wraiths. Ruby slightly faster with cloak tech.

Leta now with Goliaths from 3 fac, Ruby still getting Wraiths / Tanks from 1 fac 2 port.
Leta with small offensive but his unsieged tanks and goliaths lose too much taking down 4 tanks so the wraiths can mop up what's left.

Well, I found his victory against go.go quite convincing, although the game dragged out for a long time. Against Chalrenge he gained an advantage through midgame but took awefully long to seal the coffin.

Shark lost a few mutas when he was harassing so now has to pause and get fresh mutas in.

Shark expands at 6 main. he has several lurkers heading out. His muta harass was pretty tight, he used the main cliff nicely and abused Leta's semi wall which made it difficult for leta to mive the rines back and forth.

Leta has a deadly ball now, will reach Shark's natural soon. Dark swarm pushes the terrans back with perfect timing on Shark's side.
Shark on the other side can't do much against the vessels which are getting his defilers nearly without problems.

Shark does a nice job killing a drop. He has 4 bases, 4 gas and defiler tech.

Scourge find the vessels, take down 3-4. Now Ultras coming for Shark.
Leta has good macro this game, another ball is ready with a decent size.
Dmatrixed dropship finds its way into Shark's main, but waiting lings dispose of the drop.
Shark with frontline distraction and YET ANOTHER DROP on the terran main which is in shambles by now. Another good plague on the vessels, but he didnt bring a hero muta yet.

Z looks good midgame, being 4 bases to 2. Then dies off lategame.

Shark actually has 3 bases. Rebuild 6, 7 and 6 nat.
So it's 3 bases to one. that eraser evened things out though.
Shark with more drops at the main. taking out infrastructure.
Shark has another expo, I dontknow where though. Mining gas there.

When Leta took out the 6 main, defended the initial drops at his main, and decently protected the 10 expo, I thought he had the game.
The key though was the constand harass on teh 10 throughout teh late game to bleed Leta of resources. Another important factor imo is that Leta never realy dealt any significant damage with his ball mid game and late game. He only attacked with drops. Shark's defence was great that game as well.

It was a bit hard to send Sea / Light as OGN played mostly their terran players. Due to the "no mirror" rule they could only have sent one of them out instead of Ruby in game 4 today, and Ruby was certainly a good bet. In game 5 and game 7 they had to send another race than terran.

jaehoon had fucking amazing macro....
he lost SO many probes and his expo and while he was harassing he got his nat up and he had a pretty big amount of goons. Not to mention he had to rebuild a robotics and reaver. Kids pretty good.
