This night is probably the most anticipated and fun evening of every season, rivaled only by PL/OSL/MSL Finals. We have a EIGHT possible matches, unbearable drama, great storylines, and elimination games all in one night.
Group A, Game 2:  Jaedong < Fantasy II >  Flash
Group A, Game 3: Jaedong < Katrina > Flash
With GSI Ro8 in a few days, Flash will have played Jaedong in two Bo3s and one Bo5 in the span of a two weeks. If the MSL Ro8 taught you anything, it would be that Flash definitely has a puncher's chance to advance. Of course he's the underdog, as just about anyone would be against LJD, but he's got the best shot of any T right now (yes, more than Sheis).
Fantasy is a great ZvT map and all signs point to Jaedong taking the win there. If that happens, Game 3 will be possibly the most dramatic game of Bacchus so far. Flash steamrolled Jaedong with a mech build during the MSL Ro8, so will he do the same thing? An OSL semifinal spot is on the line!
Group B, Game 2:  Much < Blue Storm > Bisu
Group B, Game 3: Much < Troy > Bisu
Much has been a one-man wrecking crew lately, but he finds himself down 0-1 to Bisu. This series has a lot of meaning for both players, with Much trying to reach the semifinal for the first time, and Bisu trying to right his career before it begins to spin into the depths. Last week on Katrina, Much's build was far from effective, leading us to wonder how well-prepared he is to fight Bisu on the remaining maps. Whomever wins will face either Flash or Jaedong in the semifinal.
Group C, Game 2: Luxury < Katrina > FrOzean
Group C, Game 3: Luxury < Blue Storm > FrOzean
Luxury has got dynamite in his hands this OSL. After going 3-0 in his group, he utterly destroyed Frozean on Fantasy 2 with nothing but mutalisks. I honestly doubt Frozean has any chance against Luxury on Katrina, but even if he does eke out a win, the third game on Blue Storm is an impassable barrier. Luxury's build on this map is a slight modification of Kwanro's lurkerless fast ultraling build. Considering how cruelly it slaughtered Xellos, Frozean certainly won't fare much better. Don't let his ProLeague Grand Final win fool you. Luxury will get a chance to test his ZvP in the semifinal, provided everything goes according to plan here.
Group D, Game 2: Stork < Troy > BeSt[HyO]
Group D, Game 3: Stork < Fantasy II > BeSt[HyO]
Stork and Best are both very good at PvP. However, during the first game of this series, Stork showed that there is a large difference in the two players' army management and control. Despite being slightly ahead all game, Best's 180 supply army was cut apart by Stork's, and the game was downhill from there. If Best's build mirrors Stork's again on either of the remaining maps, he isn't likely to win. He'll have to have something special prepared, but for some reason I doubt he will. One of these players (read:Stork) will most likely face Luxury in the semifinal, leading to an off clash of weak ZvP against weak PvZ.

At first I thought: I liked how you didn't write anything for groups B, C, and D as if only flash vs. jaedong matters, but then I saw your reply. Jaedong and Flash are so good though, their games will be the ones progamers look at when analyzing the TvZ matchup. It's too bad they didn't meet in the finals, otherwise their games would have been among the most memorable of the year. Also, everyone will be watching to see whether jaedong will fall.
I really want Bisu to win, even though I hated him a little when he was unbeatable. That's because a Bisu vs. Jaedong Bo5 will be incredibly awesome, almost as much as the upcoming + Show Spoiler +.
I'm interested in your take on Stork vs. Best. Best had outmacroed Stork until the decisive battle, so do you think Stork is so good that he will be able to win with superior control, even if Best outmacros him every game?

I wouldn't be quick to oversimplify the first game between Stork vs Best. In a PvP match like the one they played, both players are looking for opportunities to expand, harrass and attack constantly. Their game really blew my mind because I've been practicing Blue Storm PvP for a while and I've been trying to learn when I have a legitimate opportunity to expand, when I should invest in harrass, when I should shutdown everything else and just pump units, when I should move my army, what unit ratios I should make, etc, and both Best and Stork played PvP so excellently that I was just in amazement of their high level play from start to finish. I wouldn't come to any conclusion about who has better large army PvP control based on two battles from one game and I wouldn't come to any conclusion about who has better macro when macro opportunities are the fruits of a superior strategy.
I'd have to say Stork is still the favorite on a game-to-game basis and Stork is the heavy favorite for the bo3 considering he has won the first game. But I'm just hoping Best will win the 2nd game so I can see an extra PvP game from these PvP masters.

THERE IS A VERY VERY HUGE DILEMNA WITH THIS OSL
WE EITHER HAVE TWO GOOD SEMIFINAL BEST OF 5's WITH A LIKELY SHITTY FINAL
OR LESS EPIC SEMIFINALS WITH A MORE POWERFUL FINAL!
Let me elaborate:
Situation 1 (Best Semifinal Matchups)
Jaedong beats Flash, Bisu beats Much
Jaedong vs Bisu
(Yes its debatable that Flash is similarly exciting -- however, Flash vs Bisu (while being great games in their own right, im sure), would carry none of the weight for the enitre Protoss and Zerg races as this best of 5 would. All Zerg fans and Protoss fans and the millions of people who complain about imbalances one way or the other in this matchup would have a heavy stake in the absolutely excellent games this match would produce.)
Luxury vs Stork
Obviously this one is pretty easy. Stork is a better player than Best, Best advancing would produce less exciting games than Stork -- especially with his much more agressive PvZ style that is entertaining to watch even though it has left him with sub-60% vs. Zerg. And nobody wants to see CuteAngel. Nobody.
But do you see where this is going? No matter who wins these very good semifinal matches, the finals will pale in comparison. Luxury vs a Bisu who just beat Jaedong? Stork vs a Jaedong who just beat Bisu? Doubtful either stands a chance. Luxury vs Jaedong has shown to be a fairly one-sided affair, so the best result would probably be Stork vs Bisu ... if that hadnt been done twice before. They are entertaining games for PvP (unless stork 3-0's again) but thats hardly the best matchup.
HOWEVER FRIENDS:
CONSIDER THIS FINAL:
Flash vs Stork
Flash is red-hot right now and his games are incredibly solid (his GSI domination is very much worth watching), and both these players are macro monsters in TvP. A Flash/Stork final is one of the best candidates for a 5-game nailbiter with long, tense games that will give the fans bang for their buck -- and a good story with either Stork finally getting his years in the making individual league victory, or Flash definitively showing he is one of, if not the, strongest Terran out there and a huge force to be reckoned with.
So basically, it comes down to this choice:

(Vote): Jaedong vs Bisu semifinal?
(Vote): Flash vs Stork final?

I'll be sad if Jaedong doesn't win vs Flash. I do like Flash, but I like JD sooo much more ^_^
Flash has been really fun to watch lately, however, so if he advances, the tournie will still be pretty good.

I'm rather worried for Jaedong. I'm sure Flash will have something prepared for Fantasy II, and even if Jaedong wins, that takes the fight to Katrina, where Flash is rather strong. In either case, there's gonna be some good games tonight.

The Flash v Jaedong game tonight is going to be so epic. I'm going to be so tired tomorrow, but I'm sure most of you guys will too and it's worth it emirite?!

You mixed it up or something. They did radically different build orders to start the game. Stork did his bizarre fast core and Best did the standard blue storm pvp of 2gate. Stork got his natural up first and both players started their 3rd nexus at the same time at about 50 supply (this is when they were somewhat similar). But then Best went for a zealot/dt drop that failed and at the time of the first battle, Stork was 12 supply ahead (168 vs 180) and had +1 weaps done (better timing) and had more storm (no failed DT drop for him).
Basically, stork had better units (more storm) and more units (better macro) because of strategical decisions, not because both players were doing the same thing and stork just did it better.

I think Much will be less confident than Bisu... seems to me that he is feeling pretty well in a group matches but when it comes to Bo3 or Bo5...dunno... however Flash will beat Jaedong in one tournament or another - if there is a terran who can destroy "the legend killer" (wasnt that Randy Orton from WWE ?!?!) Flash is the guy

He's probably one of the strongest players in all three tournaments. Jaedong is just just...

The buttons doesn't seem to work anymore in Daum... just gives some error. And Yaoyuan has been stuck on 11 seconds buffering for like 15 minutes. Am I doing something wrong?

i have it working on Daum, at a very slow pace tho, watching 5 secs then lagging for 2 then watching 5 and so on and so fourth! ill try and keep u informed of the game when it does go on, right now they are in their respective booths

i autoupdated my daumplayer and got some kind of new skin, however its very slow and i cant seem to get anywhere without it slapping me back to square 1 all the time

TVants works like a p2p network, a torrent for video streams... so everyone is uploading to other peers, that's why yaoyuan stream is usually behind. This time though, the main feed wasn't working so it didn't matter how many peers connected to it.

Flash made a few minor micro mistakes while busy macroing, and jaedong managed to take advantage of that to hold out just long enough for ultras

Daum has been working flawlessly for me all morning (in denmark):
Short recap of the first game, JD goes 9 pool but flash doesn't go cc first and with 3 scvs on the ramp he easily holds the rush. JD takes his nat while going mutas and flash expands as well. Flash only has 3-4 turrets at both main and exp and JDs muta harras is pretty effective. Eventually flash starts to move out but JD keeps trying to flank with his growing ling/lurker force delaying flashs movements and leaving JDs 2nd expansion totally unscathed. From that point on JD just wins every battle, his ling/lurker/scourge/defiler macro and micro is godly and flash is continually denied movement across the map. He tries a few expo attempts but they all fail and in the end JD just walks over him with ultra/ling/defiler.
JD totally dominated that game, Flash never stood a chance, truly awesome ZvT skills

keep trying. shut down and restart the program until it works. Sometimes you have to brute-force it.
Umbrella, the stream lags terribly for upwards of five minutes depending on your connection speed, but almost always steadies out

Jaedong has 5 healthy bases now. As well as TWO groups of speed uped hydras + a few scourge. Flash is starting a third cc. I'm not sure flash is aware of the hydras. He has 6 or so turrets by his nat. The hydras instantly kill the rax but a sieged tank or 2 takes out 2 hydras (they were off camera). It will be hard for flash to take his 3rd base for a while.

Tanks out, Flash will push out into his center expansion and secure it soon. Goliaths took down a portion of the wall at flash's main but flash chases them off. Many hydras for jd now. 20-30.
This is looking like the mirror image of MSL game 1.

jd's strat wasn't a bad counter to mech. I don't recall who, but someone who knew what he was talking about posted on how to counter mech, and it was basically to make mass muta + hydra + lings.
I think JD could have won if he matched flash in upgrades. jd was 0-1, flash 3-3. definitely a HUGE disadvantage to begin with

JD also messed up with guards going in first and getting raped by gols, instead of going in muts first and focusing tanks. Hydras barely got to do anything before turning into mulch.

Goliath do half damage to Mutalisk. Goliath and Tank do full damage to Ultralisk. I'd say that'd be even more of a waste of gas.
Going Guardians was the absolute worst choice I could have imagined for Jaedong to make. Why would you go Guardians when the Terran has an equal amount, if not more Goliath to fight off your Guardians AND has higher ups? It just makes no sense.

Btw, the real reason for the loss in this game was not nearly Jae's unit choice.
He just fucked up that battle BIG time first letting his damage dealers take hits (and losing a critical number of guards) then going in with damage-soakers (muta) when he wasn't dealing any serious damage anyway.

Absorb hits for the guards. Gols = guards in range and guards take full damge. Still I agree, probably wasnt a good idea, but I don't think it would have mattered much

Ultras under swarm with hydra support and lings is a good battle tool, remember, Flash was running low on economy, while JD had a lot of expos running.
I would rather invested those mutas for ultras imo, but it's hard to attack on katrina, not many open spaces.

The thing is, he had a lot of mutas. They would have done alot of damage still. Cmon not having 20 mutas attack is a big difference. Besides his mutas were taking hits ALL the time even when he pulled back a bit. If he pulled bck too much, guards would get hit so there really is no point in doing that. If he used his mutas, he might have won that battle.

I've noticed that JD may have amazing mechanics, but his game sense is sometimes really off
Against Flash in the MSL he let all his guards die to cloaked wraiths because he didn't send overlords in advance.
Against Flash in the OSL he builds guards against mech.

He doesnt have to keep pumping gols/tanks if you go ultra. Also if he has the luxury of being able to make a mineral only cost effective unit, he can now make a few vessels to negate the defs (because with ranged gols its extremely hard to scourge vessels).

Jesus Jaedong owned Flash straight up in the second game and had a very good advantage in the third to. At times about 20-30 supply lead. When the guardians moved in and forced Flash's CC to lift up at the last expo he only had a few hundred minerals while Jaedong had 1.000+!
But fuck I really think Jaedong chose a very bad and very dumb strategy going with the mass mutas and guadians. Defiler's with plague and dark swarm would have been much, much better imo! That would definately have given him the decisive advantage to crush Flash I'm sure.
Damn Jaedong you're really having a hard time dealing with that zT mech build, even the second time around. But I still have absolute confidence in Jaedong obliterating Flash into the depths of the Void when they face each other in the GSI tourney! With that many encounters in such a short period of time it was almost "enevitable" that Flash had a too good chance to luck it out againt the Legend Killer and take him out. Also I blame the format bo3 as if it would have been a bo5 I'm sure Jaedong would have overcome the to upsets and nullify Flash once more.
Honestly I'd have to say that Flash is a very strong player and now has a very good shot at taking the OSL title this year, but the MSL (and GSI) is still Jaedong's turf

Ultra are an all around bad choice vs mech. They take time to upgrade, they get raped by siege tanks, they do not kill goliaths fast. Maybe if you have swarm it is possible to use ultraling to fight bach metal but you need a big amound of ultras and flank you enemy having all you units covered by swarm.

It's rather odd that Much (whom I would have put down as the favoured one of these two in PvP atm) basically gave up both games to rather silly mistakes. Terrible build on Katrina, and then that.
Ah well. Bisu vs Flash could make for a great Bo5. After all, these two haven't met in a while, and they've knocked each other out once (Bisu 2:0ing flash in the MSL, and Flash > Bisu in the OSL).

Definitely, my PvP has always been aeons below the other two (which sucked when you're trying to get above C on ICCUP/PGT, haha). I missed a lot of the cut to the players faces, but from what I did see Much looked tired/resigned.
Probably did give up on the comedy of errors his game turned out to be, in hindsight.

Lux simply scouts around with 1 muta lol. He sees a one base terran with 2 turrets near his min line as well as 1 near the expo. A cc goes down near it. Lux taking the far bottom left base. A firebat might spot it though. Lings kill a bat located at the zerg 2nd nat I believe.

Lux harassing frozeans 4 turreted nat while most of his mnm are moving to the far bottom left. If frozean can hold the mutas and take that base out he should win. A ling sots the mnm movement and 2 sunks are started. The mutas moving to intercept! Frozean needs to be careful! 4 rines go down at the cost of 1 muta. 2 sunks are up at the base. Lux should be safe if he micros his mutas well.

Yep Lux has the magic number of sunkens, Froz heads out with mnm but is hesitant about what to do with them. Looks like he saw the 5 expo. 2 creeps going up at 5. Mutas rushing there to defend.
Nice muta harass there. Stlling the mnm. Killed off 3 rines. Frozean is reinforcing however. He will have a lot of mnm there soon.

Another muta goes down as well as 2 more rines. Lux has a TON of mutas now though. OMFG. Lux mismicros and loses 5-6 of them. Only taking out a few marines. As a result he adds another sunken to his lower left base. Lux starting hive. Still no lurkers yet Guess he didnt feel comfortable making the switch while his 3rd was under pressure. Or maybe it was just a fake.

The saddest thing is frozean totally had the game won but failed to move his scvs away from attacking the hatch and back to his bunker. He had TEN fucking scvs and a full bunker. He then prosceded to lose 5 or them for nothing and then not even repair the bunker. Was the WORST thing I've seen in progaming in a while.

Stork pylons just above his gas, hes at 5, he also builds a gateway. Best is at 11 at makes a pylon a litte to the lower right of his mins. He also adds a gateway. Scouting probes out for both players. Best with map hack scouts directly across the map. Interesting. Best spots an early gas and core from stork.

Second attack from Best, 2 nice scarabs hit a lot of goons! But stork gets the shuttle and the reaver. He stops the attack with probes and 1 last remaining goon. Stork was forced to pull probes that battle. Best is doing better than I though. His base is online now and he did some damage on that attack.

Best has 3 reavers out now and is just now starting his 4th gate. Stork has 2 reavers near his shield batt. Close game. Shuttle out for Best. Stork FINALLY has a shuttle now and it lifts a reaver and heads to the north. Obviously stork looking to harss.

Thats bad shuttle micro He failed to lift the reavers when he needed to. They took scarab shots. That shouldnt happen at the pro level. Specially when youre trying to break a ramp and need to keep all your reavers ALIVE.

Actually I think he didn't drop because he wasn't sure wether the way was clear or not. He tried to get an observer in but BeSt kept his base clean. Even at one point, Stork saw BeSt's goons waiting on the left side and probably assumed both sides were defended and decided against showing his shuttle until he had to respond to his own probe loss. Way too passive in this game.
BTW BeSt doesn't stand a chance at these positions.

Yeah slow shuttles accelerate like crap. I think he could have done some damage even with the cannon up but if he lost the shuttle and reaver after, it wouldn't be worth it probably.

For those blaming the map. It was the maps fault that stork shot FOUR SCARABS into the middle of best probes before best tried to run them at all? (well they were all dead by then). And remember, reavers and shuttles are visable on the mini map. Unlike DTs.
I'm not saying stork played well. But it was BEST who lost, not just the map.

I betted on best. and at one point there, i thought i was gonna jump in the roof. when best wins the first battle and gains huge advantage. But then everything went downhill. I was like WTF at the 2 next battles. Why the hell did he go to the right and try to squeeze his whole armoy trough that small ramp. Thats where he lost all the advantage he had. And then losing all his probes in main. WTF, well GG. Guess Stork is still the strong one.

Omg. I cant believe Stork actually won that. He was so dead there for a while. If best had expanded again instead of trying to move up the ramp and finish him... I'm sure it would have ended differently. Best was just playing nervous and frustrated from that on. The positional imbalances isn't just the drop zone. It's also the bridges. It's fucking impossible to attack that position without losing 2x what your opponent does. And the mountain is more to 2 o clock position side which makes it very easy to camp there to hold the expos. RRRRRRRRRRR

What about Stork's position? If Best had cramped out side if would of been very difficult for stork to come out.
When Best tried to run his troops down the small right lane, he thought he'd be successful cuz he had a lot more troops, but stork's reaver micro saved the day, when it mattered, stork's reaver micro was awesome ;(
When you look at the psi figures, before the big attack in the middle, Best was ahead in psi by about 20 or so, give credit to Stork please.
He tried his hardest to harass, and it eventually paid off.
Please take into consideration that Best has had a week of non stop pvp training, he's had no events inbetween unlike stork who had to practice some for the GSI event.

Blocking the ramp with his reavers and then trying to cram his goons through them, and then taking forever to notice the reaver drop seems pretty sloppy to me.

Definitely. All in all though, it was a hilarious comeback that should never have happened. Two of those today really. Frozean basically had the game one until he massively failed with his 10 scvs. Both helped me out a lot

Best didn't play particullary sloppy. His biggest miss was the reaverdrop on his main, but even when he started to defend it, it was particulary hard due to the open area around the mineral line.
Also, take into consideration that it was very much a possibility for stork to assault Best's natural whenever he felt like it, while storks natural is so ridicilously easy to defend best just couldn't do anything about it. His options were very limited. He needs to attack to bring down storks eco, but attacking is very risky due to the small chokes at 1. He can't wait for stork either, since the distance between his main and his naturals choke is far enough to let stork harass hard with reavers.
Had he had one of the other positions, he would've won easily.

I thought he did that partly on purpose. Making the reaver stay as long as possible, no matter how many probes he lost - would make it a lot easier for Best to attack Stork's expo. And killing it would have ended the game right there. Geez, it was like 20 goons against 8. Too bad for Best Stork built a pylon there and Best's units clumped together and wouldn't move down ramp until reaver came to the rescue.
I'm not saying Stork played bad, because he did very well to come back into that game. To me, the only thing Best did wrong was to take a risk instead of killing Stork slowly (camping outside bridge and expanding).

Geez, it was like 20 goons against 8. Too bad for Best Stork built a pylon there and Best's units clumped together and wouldn't move down ramp until reaver came to the rescue. I'm not saying Stork played bad, because he did very well to come back into that game. To me, the only thing Best did wrong was to take a risk instead of killing Stork slowly (camping outside bridge and expanding).

i'm guessing he didnt realise it because it might not have said "you are under attack" as tasteless pointed out the other day, that message does not play unless something is damaged. when it is killed straight out, you're not told.

That's what he did, with or without losing the probes. My point is that the attack had much greater impact on the game. The main was soon mined out and Best had a lot of extra probes at the expo. I'm not saying that Best looked into his main while Stork was dropped and thought 'ah, maybe I should let the probes stay here as bait'. But Best consciously made the decision to use his full attention to his units while attacking, believe it or not.

just watched the third game of jaedong and flash... and i feel sorry for the legend killer - the last 3-4 minutes were pain to watch I cant imagine what was in his heart- in the end Flash was like playing against a stupid computer- just chillin around with his army, killin drons bases and sunkens

he had a battlion of guardians but it was clear that there were more goliaths. I think 1 goliath beats or comes close to beating 1 guardian head-on -- basically, there was no way that jd's 14 guardians could have beaten flash's 30+ goliaths. it's hard to understand why jd decided to make guardians

Whoever said Flash is the favorite to win this OSL... lulz. He has to get through Bisu and possibly Stork (although I think Lux will pull it off), neither of which will be particularly easy. Given the matchups and the lack of seeing Bisu under real pressure, I can't say there's really a favorite.

Hydra/Guardians is a "counter" against mech in that it's about 50/50 but considering Jaedon'gs huge eco advantage, it was a good chouice. Seriously, switching to defilers is tough at that stage when you're so commited to mutas cause defilers do NOT live long against mech. They are very very very easily sniped. The problem was Jaedong really mismanaged both ugprades and the control during the actual battle. If the guards took out the tanks first and let mutas soak against gollies, it would've worked out a lot better. Muta/lings is NOT an answer. Try it out yourself, gollies chew that crap up once gollies are massed. t.t

Jaedong's skills are undeniable--I don't think it's fair to use starleague titles to judge his ability. It's been a while since we've had someone as dominant as Jaedong is right now, perhaps since savior's prime a little over a year ago. If Jaedong doesn't let recent mishaps against flash faze him, then he has a good chance at more titles.

I haven't read the whole thread but how many people approximately are already claiming that Jaedong is in a slump and that he'll never win again? I get the impression when a good player loses after winning a lot that people immediately assume he's slumping.
Seriously, as much as I hate the kid, Flash has skills. I'd put him as an easy favorite for this OSL.

yes, jaedong is far from a slump- you just can win forever...considering the resent results and the motivation he is showing for me bisu is the favorite...the map pool for the semi in the OSL i think favors him too

u forgot bisu... two leagues back to back and 2nd place finish. and jaedong is far from dominating.

I think Flash has improved extremely in the past few months. I remember the time when we were all afraid it'd come to lategame and Flash would crumble like a little kid with lots of micro mistakes (carrier autowin vs Flash!). Nobody jokes around about that nowdays though. He's a fucking monster and I barely see any flaws in his play any longer... I've only gotten that feeling with a very scarce number of players throughout the years. In my eyes, he is the favourite over both Bisu and Stork.

He has completely come into his own recently. There really is no longer any aspect of his game that can't be described as top notch. Like oov and NaDa, he doesn't have a weak match up. I'm really excited to see him contend for the OSL title.

I agree for sure with your first paragraph. In fact, I think the fickleness of fans in this sport (as well as in several others, ie fighting) can probably contribute to people slumping. Lose one game suddenly everyone starts talking like it's the end of the world, lose a BO3 and you are slumping all of a sudden.
Second paragraph I disagree (EDIT: oops, thought you said he deserves it most, not that he's the favorite, I dunno, stork vs flash seems like a coin-toss to me, and you can't really call a game vs Bisu easy, dunno enough about Luxury's ZvT to comment but he's done pretty well this league ) Bisu deserves it more than anyone else in the world. Sorry flash, sorry stork, sorry jaedong, sorry everyone. The best PvZ player of all time ought to have an OSL title, yes, 2 MSLs is cool and stuff, but he needs an OSL for the sake of justice.

The irony of this is Bisu may just go DT drop into Arbiters anyway.
Flash is a fantastic player and tbh, I'd put him 55:45 against Bisu even with those map draws (Because damn, Bisu no likey Blue Storm). He won't beat Stork in a Bo5 though. That said, I am hoping for Bisu to win this one -> I want Bisu to have an OSL at last.
Flash has come a long way and particularly with his TvZ. His TvT/TvP may have reached the same level, and we hopefully we'll find out in 2008.

bahhh is clearly so anti-Jaedong that it's blinding him from seeing Jaedong for what he really is. Apparently 13 game win streaks (including players like July, Luxury, Stork, Bisu, Sea) and 12 game win streaks over Terrans (including Sea, Iris, Hwasin and Xellos) clearly means that Jaedong has never gotten anywhere. That might as well be a record for Zerg players, with the exception of maybe Savior.
Jaedong just made a poor choice against Flash's mech build and lost, simple as that. I hate when people throw "slumping" around like losing just one series means he's going to fade away into nothingness.

Jeadong could win it all- the GSI , MSL and OSL... he knew that too, and he was very disappointed with his loss against Flash- but now it will be easy for him just to focus on the the tournaments he still has a chance to win. Its not so good always to be the favorite... the crown is heavy

Actually i think Bisu Flash and Stork all have a good chance. The only way I can see Lux winning is if Stork fucks up badly or he suddenly learns ZvP, and Flash beats Bisu. Cuz Lux has no chance against Bisu in the finals.

The way I see it:
Stork = Lux
Stork > = Bisu
Stork > Flash
Luxury = < Flash
Luxury < Bisu
Bisu = < Flash
The only potential rapes would be Stork vs Flash and Bisu vs Luxury, so the semifinals couldnt really be better unless you would want to see a mirror MU and in that way get to see Flash vs Luxury.

 I cant get why Jeadong teched to guardians - going guardians against goliaths is simply suicide. He could have used those gas to just mass mutas as it's the most effective units against gols. With a larger amount of mutas at least Jeadong can go trade base with Flash until he got more muta to go all in.
Losses like this make Jeadong look like he's not a strategically smart player, though his micro/macro/management can be very good. (I don't think Flash's play was smarter though, the build is pretty straight up and simple once you can survive early attacks, and your opponent uses the wrong combo, like Jeadong did)

The reason I would put Bisu at 50:50, even if I didn't think Bisu could pull out a PvT as good as Flash's TvP on the night is the maps.
Troy, Troy, Katrina. Kill Extractors, Kill extractors, prepared carrier build he hasn't used thus far on Katrina (guarding againt things like drops, etc). Best and Bisu are now in the same team after all, so I would expect the same as was done to Sea. 3:2 right there.
However, I do believe that Bisu will show up with a properly functioning PvT (he better, after the + Show Spoiler +GSI losses, which were asdf in respect to builds and the proxy on Blue Storm

I think mobility is the key in Katrina and on this aspect guardians are a far worse choice than mutas because of its speed. Moreover it doesn't have the range advantage vs goliaths, and it's a large size unit so it gets more damage from gol missiles.
From my own narrow experience of playing ZvT and TvZ, guardians never worked well vs mech Terran. I think countless of threads on mech TvZ in Strategy forum say the same thing.
Honestly going guards look like a very basic strategical mistake to me, but it's hard to believe a player like Jeadong could make those. Maybe he was reluctant and he used to win using that strat in practice games against less prepared partners.
