I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about this. herO at his best is about on par with Soulkey and probably had the best chance out of anyone this ASL to beat him. I'm not sure if he's fallen off, or everyone else has gotten better and outpaced him, or if it's just an unlucky year.

Any titleholder in the defensive matrix can break the illusion any time. I say he is the reason Hero is performing so poorly since top competition is so different to prepare than the group stages. There, I said it. My take is he drinks and that is bad on nerves. PS: recently I came across some news that smelling roses is very good for the brain. Maybe he should pick up some better habits.

Over the last 9 months, Hero has losing records against Sharp (2-8), Rush (35-61), Light (17-34), Royal (25-33), and Flash (11-14), he's about even with Mind (6-6) and Speed (6-4). He is beating Barracks (14-9) and JyJ (20-12), but even those aren't particularly decisive. Jaedong, for instance, is 28-11 against Barracks. He's looked liked the weakest ZvZer of the top Zergs for the last couple of seasons (for example, he's 2-9 against Queen). He's still very good against Protoss, but unfortunately for him that wasn't relevant in his group.

Snow cornered him against a corner on Deja Vu sending psionic storms against his drones across the reef. It was a very cheesy move by Snow.

S rank zergs are Queen, Soulkey, and Soma and everyone else below

Effort can be insanely good, he's just not regularly showing it. Until he delivers consistency I'm not convinced he's going to go far this season.

He's not some SS tier zero but he's the zerg that is always showing up with S tier play. That being said I'm very curious how a couple series of ZvZs look because you can only win so many coin flips in a row even when it's weighted towards the better player.

I'm less knowledgeable about ZvP but he looked to be steamrolling everyone except SnOw and BeSt the past four seasons.
