i'm rooting for ruby here, although his play vs firefist on bluestorm was rather lacklustre. he came from the offline qualifiers? i predict a new mind in the making.

3rd hatch started for luxury. he starts 6 ling after his pool hatches. might force ruby to start a bunker. but ruby instead chooses to defend with rine/maynarded SCV. expo up for ruby, and 2nd rax + refinery coming for him. lair coming for luxury.

early ebay for fast +1 vs mutas for ruby. he has a group of marinemedic, 3 rax and fac. luxury going for lurkers first. looks like he'll try a slow drop into ruby's main. 2 lurkers morphing at the 2nd nat. hm. no slowdrop after all. 6 lurkers out and they're containing ruby. in the meantime luxury expoing to the 3 main, and getting evo chamber and spire. ruby starting 2nd ebay.

ruby now adding 2 raxes for 5. queens nest started for luxury. his 2 base is up, and he's got sunkens there to prevent drop. scourge patrolling around as well. now tank/vessel breaking out of the lurker contain of luxury. 5 lurkers retreating, hive tech coming. luxury has a total of about 8 lurkers, with more coming, vs 2 tanks and 2 group of marine medic of ruby.

vessel out for ruby, makes lux pull out his lurkers infront of his base. 3rd base up and running for lux. ruby starting his 3rd cc. minor engangement in middle happening. lux sneaks past and goes for main, but instead comes back, kills tanks and forces ruby back to his base.

huge attack by luxury on ruby's units. doesn't look like he lost many lurkers there, and he took out the marine medic army of ruby. looking good for luxury who has defilers coming and 3 gas to support his hive tech. about 10 lurkers for him, defiler mound up. 2 evo. and he's taking the 9 main.

ruby is taking his 2nd nat now. loses a vessel randomly to scourge. luxury trying to delay with his lurkers vs the army of ruby. defilers out for him, and he engages with his defiler/lurker, taking out a good portion of ruby's army. ruby is unable to do damage to any of luxury's expos. luxury has ultra den up now. and +2 carapace +1 melee. he does a swarm attack into ruby's 2nd nat, and forces him to float. in the meantime the main army of ruby attacks luxury's nat, but ultraling looks like it'll hold. but ruby comes down with more reinforcements now, and he's rampaging in luxury's nat. it'll go down. more and more units for ruby coming to luxury's main.

luxury's defiler mound goes down. he's trying to defend with sunkens and a couple of ultralisks in his main, but they don't work very well vs 2.5 groups of marine medic. oh. amazingly, luxury holds in his main, but another marine medic army is coming down, and this will likely finish things up. he's got a swarm delaying on his ramp though. ruby has taken the 9 2nd nat in the meantime, so his minerals wouldn't try up too quickly. ruby's marine medic takes down the hive/pool/ultralisk den of luxury. ruby is forced to float his only expo to a ling raid.

lux gg's.
if only he spread out his tech more maybe. He had a great chance to win it if he had a couple defilers even after he lost his nat. Ruby had no running bases and a defiler could easily deny it.

luxury loses the 2 nat to a marine medic raid, but he defends 2 main with ultralings. he has rebuilt his ultralisk cavern and his pool at his 2 main. ruby has taken the island expo. and reestablished his 9 2nd nat. he has about 3 group of marine medic in his main army and they engage luxury's ultralisks and take them out, while irradiated science vessels take out luxury's drones at the 2 base. luxury GGs.
