I felt like the last thread was not that awesome(lot's of people complaining that the thread starter was inactive) and decided to conceive this one!
This season might prove to be interesting, with players last season such as Light[Alive] and Sword[fou]. There might even be some progamers popping their heads around here and there, we never know. But, if there's a hint as to who that progamer is, you'll know for sure that it will be in this thread!
i iz monkeyspanker, and yeah i looked at the who is who thread season 2 and it never looked updated. Like ever. I looked at it like once every 2 weeks and never saw a new name. Quite useless to have someone whose not going to read and update enough.

Plenty of people are willing to do it. We don't want someone rushing in to do it first and then stopping to do it half way through (like has happened countless times before). If you aren't going to follow through to completion, step aside and let someone else do it.
no one ever completely goes through with this thing. whoever starts it usually updates it for a while then stops, people complain, someone steps up to take over but then they eventually stop too. i havent noticed anyone willing to commit to it so i dont see why you'd threaten him with a ban.

If it is such a big deal do it yourself. I would have imagined someone would go through with it to completion. I don't really think that's an unreasonable request, but if it's never been done I guess why start now.
Its completely reasonable to hope or ask that someone goes through with it. It is unreasonable to ban and punish a volunteer when you yourself (a staff member) wont do the task. Especially considering nobody (like I said) does it thinking they will fizzle out or drop it. Everyone has the best intentions when they do it. No fame is attached to authoring the "ICCUP who is who" thread.
I understand that. I was under the assumption someone would see through what they've started. If you are not that person, do not open the thread. If that person doesn't exist, then anyone can open the thread.

yea. its just that there are plenty of people willing to start and update game threads as opposed to who is who threads. just a lot less commitment and easier to see through, so its hard to hold these to the same standard.

Not true at all. In fact, they have just done some upgrades and prepped a new season. The delay is because they left their old hosting service and are switching to a new one. The return dates they have said have been the estimates they were quoted by the hosting companies.

So who exactly are the casual readers who are coming into this thread? I'd say there's more ICCUP players looking at this than casual players. Also, the TL.net section is at the bottom of the post. If you don't want to read it, don't. It's because it's interesting to TL.netters to see if they've played one another or to meet one another on ICCUP.

i think most gosu players would do some cheese strats to rank up faster..i remember last season, the korean top rankers would cheese the shit outta me when at D level. also i'm sure lots of them would like going zvz's. i myself played lots of zvz's to get C- in one day. longest zvz game was like 14 minutes, which you can easily pull off 40 games in a day.
Just checked http://starcraft.theabyss.eu/ and there seems to be a statement where the crew promises "Servers will be up today in first half of day". I guess we can expect ICC to be up and running normally (the site staying up-to-date) pretty soon?

Well when I played Gameitoss last season he told me he was not White-Ra. So when I was at WCG I actually asked White-Ra and he said he was sharing that acc with fAke.Fraer and maybe some other russian that I can't remember.
Does ICCup have stats for the most played maps? I would be very interested to know what would be the top 10. Or even top 20.

Later i accuse him of hack, he says "me no hack, me korea". Then he says he's a progamer. Said something about winning WCG korea. I doubt he's a serious player tho, too low win percentage.

hahah a guy with 50-20 and even no B- (20 losses on d and c level) and he's top progamer who owns hwasin and stork :DDDDDD in earlier seasons he had 15-7 D+ and 80-60 B- :D and he's in pro team- MW (most wanted) with like 90% Romanian players :D
Rumor has it 88MG. is MadGuy. from last season as well (and yes 88MG. is Dream.T)1988). However I think that 1988 denied being MadGuy. I know that they both play the same matchups (TvP TvZ PvT) so maybe someone could compare keys to be sure.

First 2 games he had standard cyber build and very late scouting, never made robo for the whole games then just after I was making citadel he suddenly built robotics. Then in game 3 I went 9 9 mid gates he had very early scouting, found my gates istantaneously and didn't make gas at 12 like he did in the first games. I'm just so angry right now =x

mouse.star maphacks too, and he's currently #16, I wonder why he's not banned. I sent in a complaint and admins even agreed that he maphacks, and reversed our match, but they let him continue to play. The AH doesn't work, and there's more hackers than ever this season imo. If anyones played mOuse.Star, you might want to look at the replay, because he was blatently hacking in our game.

Yes I posted that. The reason I said that, was because when I talked to unk, he said it was more than likely just a glitch. I still thought he was cheating though, because he got 5 freewins from [nan]jjang, and in those 5 games, there is no red x.
I know he is cheating, the problem is, I cant do anything about it until someone gives me a replay to work with. No one has come forward with a replay, and when I spoke to Cloud about his 3 games, he said he did not save the replays. MY only hope is to ask gameitoss if he saved the games.
He would already be locked/banned if I had some source to go off of, rather than just a bunch of x's in his matchlist.
Now, as for mouse.star. You never posted a replay in the abuse forum, you only said that he is cheating. Ladder admins that do complaints, do not handle hack users. So, you will need to post the replay in your topic. I would love to ban these people without any evidence, as I also know many of them are hacking, but I would probably lose my position if I did so.
So please people!!! bring more evidence to me! and I will remove those accounts.

In the case of rex.ring, it could be true that he hacks. But, that isn't always like that. Sometimes you get that X mark when you lost your connection or things like that.

Umm, if you read my post on the previous page, I state that I DO THINK HE IS HACKING. ok?. The reason why I said he might be clean, is because I talked directly with UNK, the owner/operator of the server, and he said it was probably a server glitch. I never said I thought he didn't hack. In fact, that was the reason why I asked unk in the first place. Maybe read a bit better next time
Now, mouse.star has been banned for using the oblivion hack. I finally got replays of him today, and I was able to shut down his account. I also FINALLY got 2 replays of rex.ring that im about to watch.
Cruiser, please don't say it is obvious hack, when the owner/operator of the server doesn't even know what the glitch could be. However, I do think he is hacking, as mouse.star ALSO had those red x's on his last 15 games or so, and he was proven to be using the oblivion hack.
Within the past 3weeks, I have seriously locked over 150 accounts for hacking/cheating. Kind of sickening if you ask me.

In the case of rex.ring, it could be true that he hacks. But, that isn't always like that. Sometimes you get that X mark when you lost your connection or things like that.
This is correct but doesn't ICCUP give you an automatic loss if you disconnect/lose connection. There would not be 5-6 games where Rex.Ring would have X's plus a win for his games.

But still if you always have X and don't have them exactly in all 5 games you abused with a friend id that should be enough proof of cheating imho.
I disabled it because every time my bwchart loads replays it takes too much time and since I save most of the games I play it's like saving almost every single game twice.

I saw nothing even remotely 'suspicious' in those two reps. If he is maphacking then he must be really good at hiding it because he scouts well and reacts to what he sees. Not many 'reaction/important/deciding moves' though, so it's hard to get any info from those reps (I haven't looked around in BWChart). We shouldn't be so quick to judge, most good players sometimes make important proxy scoutings and other suspicious actions by instinct.

True, but wouldn't that only be possible if he was using hotkeys?. It's just hard to imagine he manually clicked on 4 gateways, and hit Z, all in 1 second. With hotkeys, yeah maybe you could, but could you really select gateway hit z, select gateway, hit z?
The oblivion hack has a feature that is autobuild. Maybe this could be it?. Either way, im pretty uncertain.
About the one second-9 actions, I think it has nothing to do about hacking since many players can do that easily. You just have to click on gateways and press z. Some can do it very fast.

I can assure you it's not as hard as you think. If the gateways are in a line or are close to each other you just move the mouse in one direction and press mouseclick + unit hotkey. A fast player can do that in a second.

In the replays I looked at, they can do about 4-5 per second and it's the same for Protoss so long as the gates can all fit in one screen. its faster to macro by clicking on gates/barracks/facs than using hotkeys actually(i think)

ReX.Ring wasnt banned yet, he had rewritten his stats to other account where as i see is playing fair. I quess we'll never find an in game bwchart proof used oblivion hack as he turned off automine and mass select options. Hovewere In my oppinion he used: see other players mine/gaz/supply and merge info like "your opponent got (1) dt" which are not see-able in bwchart or in game replay, luckily they cause in game "Your connection to b.net has been lost" so after the game player is droped from starcarft and that's causes x x x x x in player profile. That why im for maybe not ip ban but at least lokking ReX.Rine account
If u play vs any sus player the best idea is right after the game write ./where <nick> if he is offline and u got x x x in match list its 99% (ok 50% ) that he hacked. Anyway iccup team are working on this bug

I am not being insulting I'm just curious, cause some of the names are hard to believe, like Yakuja, who I've played with on East quite a few times and in none of my replays does he use it, nor did I ever get the sense he was hacking (and I'm usually pretty good at catching that)

I really think there must be some mistake. I am pretty sure Yakuja doesn't hack. I know he was very upset that these charges are even brought up against him. I think there should be some proof for some of the bigger names
it isn't a mistake. each time you got disconnet from game by launcher (not an oridnarry disconnect, also it means you had it ON before games tart ) your nickname is logged, so even if your opponent won't report you, you will still get a ban.
launcher disconnects you if your sc memory being patched by some 3rd party program. as i know it is called a "hack".

And I don't believe Yakuja hacks because he does nothing that would suggest a hack in teh game and in the replays I have of him he has never used it, nor does he seem the kind of person to use it. That's my thought. I just like to think the best of people, and in this case I actually have a reason to.

Exigent. I think what caused dis 13 suspicious things.... well if u can give me some time to explain i would but seems like none of the admins of iccup dont listen to me...... Well dis is what happened i had ah launcher but it was in my documents folder and i used it to go on iccup server and play but whenever i joined server it said Anti hack status-fail and the 13 games which u mention everytime the game was finished i got booted from server and was able to get back on. Im assuming dis occured the problem. how come the games i played without ah on was fine but not these? I recently dled ah iccup launcher and didnt move it to different folder they worked fine... Did you use advloader on iccup cuz when i tested that program and went to play iccup i was with ah on and got disconected from iccup every few mins but then i started one 2v2 game and i saw that i got disc and x on profile and i coulda see apm live on me and some guy from the other team so i was wtf!?! advloader is in iccup launcher but i was wrong and unstalled advloader and everything was ok after it..
Skela my answer is no becuz as far as i remember i didnt see opponent's apms and i only used it on east server 3 or 4 times vs my friend's to see apm's. I didnt know advloader was the serious thing that i shouldnt be using. Im not sure if i was using advloader or not but according what u just if i was using advloader it shoulda showed the apm's of players but it didnt so i think i wasnt using advloader.
Personally your story has way too many holes in it for me. How do you not know if you were using advloader? You obviously know exactly what it does, and therefore how can you say you dont know if you had it on or not, for 13games in a row. That shows me that your story is wrong, as we both clearly know you are smarter than you are making yourself out to be.
I will tell you that advloader is an illegal program that allows you to see your opponents private data, and it is 100% illegal on our webpage. If you read the rules, you would know that. So basically, you either loaded oblivion, or you loaded advloader, and used it in an illegal fashion, such as looking at your opponents private data.
Perhaps we could of talked like civilized individuals, if your story was alot more to the point, and had more truth to it. You first off flat out denied the use of any programs, then you blamed your music sharing program, which has NOTHING to do with our server. You 100% knew you loaded advloader, and still you tried saying it was your music program that set off our hack detector. That is a lie, and we both know it.
Admit that you used advloader 13times in a row, rather than first say you used it on b.net, and then when it came to iccup, you had no idea it was even on. Of course you knew it was on, and of course you knew exactly what it did. Don't you think, after the first 2 games you got disconnected, you would of shut if off, realizing that its ILLEGAL. But, no you didn't, you continued to use it for another 11games.
Don't come on here playing some innocent card, when you know damn well what you did. ADVLoader in my mind allows you a better advantage over your opponent, and using it will hands down, always result in an IP ban.
Maybe YOU should provide those 13replays, as you are the one that has them. Not me. But it doesn't matter, because either way, we proved that you used an illegal program.
BTW, im just making the assumption that what you said is correct, and that it was ADVLoader, and not the ICCup oblivion/maphack . Those are the only 2 programs that you could of used, and maybe you need to just come out and say it.
EDIT: Just to add 1 more thing. When you load ADVLoader, you can then 100% load any dll into the game. So, when you open ADVLoader, it will allow you to load oblivion.dll. That is why 3rd party programs are ILLEGAL. Who's to say you didnt inject any dll's.

Exigent, the problem with advloader is that it runs automatically everytime u run brood war if its on the default setting passive. It it even runs after you restart your computer. And when it does run it gives no indication that it has been loaded on your computer. The only indication is the functions it has on your brood war screen when you play.
If yakuja was lying about his story, he would go along with the excuse of the ADVLoader to clear his name of hack. However, i feel like hes sticking to the absolute truth by telling you everyone that had happened and that he is not sure if it was advloader or not.
People who want to defend themselves should at least take some minutes to make their posts legible. All the "i kno u sux k thx lol" talk is not helping at all.

The program allows you to see your opponents APM, among other things, which causes an unfair advantage. The program also allows you to import oblivion.dll into your game.
The main reason we ban people for using advloader is because of that threat. Who's to say someone didnt load the oblivion.dll, but blamed it only on ADVLoader. It would be impossible for us to tell the difference, and that would cause ALOT of people to abuse this.

Hack is any program thats made by 3rd party program. And yes, that includes ADVloader. I don't understand how they would detect "hack" if you haven't had ADVloader loaded up while playing ICCUP. Either you are lying or ICCUP has a false Hack detection which I highly doubt. Exigent did a thorough job explaining it and I just don't understand where you're coming from. He even said crazyfile doesn't have any effect on iccup launcher. You keep pointing that out as if it will prove you innocent. Pointing out an IRRELEVANT program into this issue seems childish. Unless you admit having a third party program RELATED to starcraft, you'll be seen as hacker by many.

Going mass drops and turtling is smart and all especially while building up eco for late game, but god it is sooo lame. Protoss bit right into though as he should have gone for some sort of tech change such as reaver/sair or even carrier lmao.

No need to be hostile. Xeris wasn't being hostile. He's just making a good point for a who is who thread. Great stats and/or a high rank doesn't necessarily indicate a good player or a famous player. It's something to keep in mind when trying to find out aka's rather than automatically narrowing down the possible aka's to a select few.

The reason they don't' have it anywhere is because they don't really have it set in stone. I was 2 games from B- last season when they suddenly had the server problem and decided to just start a new season when it came back. Previously the season was supposed to last for a whole extra week before it restarted...

i've had positive comments... i tried to phrase my last comment carefully. i put my opinion that it wasn't a good showing, but i also point out what i saw so that people could judge for themselves. if you think T's notice of and reaction to the proxy were high level stuff, then we just have different opinions. that's not to say Hery[hyo] (who I think was playing) is incapable of being impressive. but i think if you asked hery[hyo] for a replay that shows his skills, that one would not even come close. and there is much more to going 177-27 on iccup than games like that.

maybe you will get to play vs a HACKER, because Oblivion can work with AH, BUT, the AHL saves in a registry every person who launched a 3rd party program with the launcher, and then, the admins ban that user, (doesn't matter if it was ADVloader or Hack), if you use 3rd party program = banned.
So you don't have to worry about playing a hacker if both have AH On.

there is not any working with antihack public hack. antihack will drop you within two minutes if you have some 3rd party program patching sc memory. Though the hacker can try to first start a game, then load his hacks, he won't recieve any pts in any case. Also, all the hack attempts are logged. If you think i am wrong - just google for working hack and try to GET PTS with it . this will be the perfect proof of my words>.<

Really? O_O That's a nice surprise I haven't run into many hackers out of 50 or so games so far anyway.
Usually the complaints I handle are against people that are NOT using the antihack. The rest of the complaints are pretty much drophack related. ( which also usually solve themselves)
All in all, with the updates provided by unk, the anti-hack is great. When oblivion became rampant a month or so ago, we had alot of inital complaints, but because unk and the tech crew are always working hard, the antihack was updated, and pretty much eliminated the chaos. So a big thanks goes out to them, for the hard work!

Well I've played progamers many times in the past, actually R.Hsama didn't seem to be that far from them in my opinion. But yea, he might not be progamer since his main id on asia is Minus)R.Hsama and I've never seen him in any vod or such.

Improvement means better understanding. Massgaming doesn't necessary mean getting better, but it's a necessary step for a talented gamer to unlock his abilities. There are many massgamers on ICCup for example who don't seem to get better at all. It's because they don't put effort in learning, they just play hoping their instinct does the rest.

I don't think kyo[scm]'s name was influenced by g.s)kyo. He has a 6000 game record on Asia (scm only recently migrated to the west server) so he's had the account for a while. "Kyo" is a common id anyway...there was an n.die_kyo and probably thousands of others.

Fully agreed. Theres times where it takes me 10 minutes or more to find a game at B level. A lot of people in A-B just idle for hours with no intentions of playing. I'm sure its FAR more difficult to find fellow A's or A+'s as well. Especially since there's massive time zone differences, as well as players who get like 9006 or barely get to A and just stop playing.
i guess playing high level foreigners is considered "noob bashing". So stupid, considering they fit under the same time zone, so it makes sense they play each other a lot

MistrZZZ is definately a good player, and only the idiots are denying that, but I can't seem to get myself to really respect him either. I mean if he wasn't so cocky and rude I don't think there would be any problem being a fan of his :p
But seriously, not many people understand how it feels to be called a hacker, whether or not you really were one, people will never let it go. I was caught maphacking when I was a FPM player a long ass time ago and I can't even get a game with the FPM scene people because they still believe that if I hacked once, I will always do it. Well what do you play ICCup for anyway? Personally I play to practice. People that smurf and play to make good stats won't get any better doing that, so it won't be any good for them. If you care so much about random people opinion you should make a new dodge account too, if you don't then I don't really see the point in complaining here :p

1. Not every single non-korean plays ICCUP. 2. In his current matchlist (the 2 pages showing after he transferred stats) he has played 2 koreans and they weren't even A. This will mainly be of interest to UK players but given this topics secondary role as a forum for UK starcraft I figured it was worth saying. nV.bOnus is playing under the akas zYnC and iiN.ZynC Back in the day he was A rank PGT and his 2v2 is a ridiculously high standard. I played a few with him on his first day back after 18 months without gaming and he's still insane at 2v2. So huge news for UK people and imo he's so good he qualifies for the who is who anyway.
