It's simply too expensive to come. Hotels run big money and flights as well, + food and other minor traveling they may be looking to pay a minimum of $600 to play in an event that has no financial help or monetary prizes. Toronto, despite not being special in any way imo, is a pretty pricey city to live in. Those who will come and hope to get a spot by simply being there despite not qualifying: Freaky[x] Fayth (Completely unpracticed of course. But I love hanging out with him and his girlfriend). Anyways the important thing that needs to be asked is who is up for clubbing after the event on Friday night? The location is right in club district and we can literally walk to the club after. btw, the tourneys run all weekend. So friday night clubbing, when games start at 10 am the next day and Bandit's house (where I'm staying, I'm schism btw) is an hour away ... maybe a little but I'm not playing a drunk 2 drunk the next day lol ;p | ||

Nah, not too many people play BW anymore. It's 10 years old, after all. ;p It's just koreans who play it now. And even they have slowed down tremendously I think. Though I can't be sure, they might be doing a tonne of hamachi + lan. Bnet is certainly quiter than it used to be though. | ||

Oh btw, xeris we still have to talk to stephan to get everything settled for the shoutcasting. Also, we're probably going to set up polls, to see what tl.net and other people want to see for the shoutcasting. It will be easier to just see what people want. Finally, chill I need to know if you really can come, because there is MAYBE a spot for you. If there isn't and the organizer gives one to me, I'll just give it to you. | ||

Did you prepare for it? - No, I didn't prepare until a few days ago. I don't consider a week of practice before a tournament to be practice. More like a warm-up. Because you're still not quite 100%. The fact that you are asking for opinions means you are not experienced or steadfast enough in this manner and are simply showing up and being like.. "so.. what do you guys wanna do?". Just trust me when I say it'll be done fairly and awesomely. I'll run the event at the event. I've done it for a few years and done it fairly so that all players agreed. We only have 4 PC's to play Starcraft on. And I talked about this with Stephan ages ago. How did cuteguy qualify from London when Bandit won? 1 from each qualifier, correct? That's why only Schism is coming. Also correct? | ||

Even though JF killed like 20 probes, Bandit had a larger army because JF sacrificed his reavers, so the counter killed him. 3rd game, Bandit got arbs earlier than him... so he won with a nice stasis... JF still played really well though. And CoolT... I dunno what happened, he didn't harass enough and CoolT's macro was too much. Bandit has been inactive for about a year, and has only played about 90 games on ICCUP, which I guess is enough to get him back in shape. | ||

i didn't think wcg was that good this year to be honest. the stage with the samsung televisions and big screen was nice, but as for getting coverage for all the games.. it wasn't as good as i'd expected overall, there were lots of people and way too little room for spectators. in fact we didn't get seats -___- that was a little disappointing | ||

Going to be Bo5 , Testie starts with 1-0. the organizer is kinda bitching because they're behind schedule, and BW only has 1 hour allotted to it... =O -_-;; he wanted to make Bo3 with Testie starting 1-0 but thats fucked up =O Testie will PROBABLY win, but Bandit should give nice games at least! ;D GOGO LIGHT! | ||

Anyways heres my attempt at a summary of the final games. Its my first time posting about a game so bear with me Summary of the game: + Show Spoiler + Game 1: Testie at 12, Bandit at 2. Testie does 9 hat, 9 pool, toss does 10 12 gate. Testie defends carefully and also gasses but cancels once the probe leaves the base. Toss runs back to his base, testie comes out with lings with no speed outside tosses base. Testie takes the bottom right side of the map. Blocks bridges with lurkers ovies lings and scourges while toss is still massing up on the other side of the bridges, some scourges come and scare back the observer and bandit stays there. Testie moves towards the bottom left expo, but Bandit is there preventing him, Testie totally psyches out Bandit with a fake drop and Bandit runs his army back to his base, and testie just takes bottom left expo with no resistance. Testie with a large amount of ultras attacks, Bandit has a couple of dark archons and reavers, Testie just runs past them at the middle bridges and attacks his nat, some decent maelstroms, but has no shuttles to transport his reavers which are closer the middle to his natural. Bandit loses both reavers and all his gates. Testie just pumps lings and ultras nonstop from all his hatcheries and just out masses him. Bandit GGs Game 2: Testie 8, Bandit at 6. Bandit FEs forging first, Testie does the mineral checking trick to scout Bandit, then goes 3 hat and masses lings. Testie gets den and spire but gets zero hydras/lurkers/mutas instead he goes straight for ultra, drone whores and slowly moves up, takes 9, then 12. Bandit meanwhile plays like a blindman unable to see any tech from Testie gets alot of goons templar and lots, which just melt from the clawing of zerglings. Testie with his massive blobs of lings, continues to pump like mad from a buttload of hatcheries in his nat main and expos. Testie takes the min only expo below from 12. Testie is maxed insanely fast with ultras and lings, Bandit throws some storms getting alot of lings but testies just too huge and rolls over bandit | ||
