Hello, my name is ZZZero and I was asked to host RCG 2020 World Finals online for you! I will do it with the greatest pleasure, RCG is unique tournament which deserves highest appreciation and I will do my best to bring the best, Bombastic Production !
What is Russian Cyber Games ?
Do you remember good old World Cyber Games ? The tournament which shaped e-sport ? Every player wanted to qualify for it and fans from all over the world was traveling hundreds of miles to cheer for their favourite players. That’s exactly what RCG is these days. Event organized by people who loves Starcraft for people who loves Broodwar. Tournament which gives great motivation to practice for players and huge excitement for the viewers to watch. The ultimate Championship with highest prize pool and best players.
Note: RCG 2020 was supposed to be an offline tournament. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 it’s impossible to organize offline type of event(specially with so many countries involved), that’s why tournament is converted to online.
How RCG 2020 happened ?
In 2019 Mr. Rus_Brain decided to organize RCG 2019 and made a deal with the community: “If you will double RCG 2019 prizepool, I will organize RCG 2020 with even bigger prizepool” - Community delivered and Rus_Brain kept his promise.
RCG 2021
This time we have the same deal: If we will gather 15 000$ prizepool, we will have RCG 2021 offline edition !.
Goals: $12,000.00 goal -> kogeT, trutaCz & Bonyth replay packs will be released here. $13,000.00 goal -> kogeT will coach random 50$+ donator; $14,000.00 goal -> trutaCz will coach two random 50$+ donators; $15,000.00 goal -> Rus_Brain will organize RCG 2021;
Now it's in your hands to make it happen!
RCG 2020 World Finals
We wanted to keep the offline spirit of the tournament as well as cast all the games for you. That’s why we will extend the event for two weekends. I think this format fits perfectly and will deliver two amazing weekends with highest level Starcraft.

It's unfortunate that there's gonna be no offline event, but given the circumstances, nothing can be done. ZZZero's team hosting this online is the second best thing, HYPE!
Thank you, Rus_Brain and everybody for making this possible!
Another banner could be put on the RCG live shows on the 28th and 29th to ask for the $ 3,500 that is missing for RCG2021 to take place. How it already happened in raising $ 4,000 for BSL11.

Agreed
this is not promoted enough so most people actually don't know about it..

gogo use your promotion skills and get us there asap please !
I'm also expecting that we will reach the goal during live casts
This is so awesome, thank you guys for the great work! I would love to commentate something like this, I don't have SC installed on this computer though. But if you need any help with english commentary (for free ofc) let me know! (not that it is needed I'm sure, but I do telesales for a living and have for over a decade, my voice tends to sound good. I'd love to team up with someone with expert game knowledge and I handle the PBP.
I did a lot of damage to my heart competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting, so I'm afraid I won't live quite so long and I've always wanted to commentate, I love BW and Starcraft.
Not trying to sidetrack or derail - looking forward to awesome games and whoever gets that badass trophy will have earned it!!!!

Embrace, man. Quality > Quantity. I hope you succeed with important things.

If I had any promotional skills (and actual reach of any kind) I would have used them long time ago
I really hope the 15k$ will be reached. The tournament quality deserves it for sure.
Such an awesome tournament, but why did you hire these boring casters, which don't even fit together. Seems like they didnt even practice before. My hype is already gone T_T
Why not nyoken and gipsy? Or Artosis and day9 for such a huge pricepool, should spend some money on the casters as well.

Thank you for the kind words my friend
I'll see if I can make a low quality audition-type video and upload it to youtube, maybe people will like what they hear! The things that are most important in life cannot be purchased with money, that's for sure (at least in my experience, and naturally my opinion, as well)

would love to hear you commentate if this can be organized
Thank you XD
One thing I can promise, maybe the only thing, is that I won't be boring. I am a fan of awful puns and prone to stream-of-thought ramblings, and I am old enough to know that I am genuine and don't need any filler material or artificial hype.
A saying I always enjoyed and found rings true, "If you won't be yourself, who will?"
Always be true to yourself - a philosophy that should never be compromised.

Joining this cheer, I think it's finally time Dewalt wins a major tournament. He's in the best shape so far, and that can be seen from last BSL. Totally deserves it for all his time put into practice. Gogo!
Dear RCG 2020 Team, Thank you kindly for the majestic observing, witty and insightful commentary and the tremendously generous prize pool! It was my first time following your wonderful series (during off-live hours unfortunately) since returning to SC. It was quite exciting and the very last set of games was far from anti-climactic. Big congratulations to the final contestants. Cheers my friends
Congratulations to the players and Rus_Brain for the successful event.
Thanks to the great casters: SeriOsity, DocHoliday, Ziggy, OliPatrick, Deathfate, Bob-Malcom, SoulzSilver, MagiK, CasterMuse;
We reached a $15 000 prize pool, which means that we will have RCG2021. I believe my job is done here. Feel free to give me feedback, how did you like my job as a host and producer of this tournament.

I am happy that you were on the team with RCG to help with production. Great team this time around, very excited for RCG2021!
My god. What an unbelievable prize pool! First place got nearly $6700 while second place got $4300 while third place got $2100 and even the fourth place received over $900!!! Can’t express enough gratitude to Rus_Brain for seeding half the prize money and viewers/fans for matching him, and all that was made possible by the wonderful organizers (BSL et al.). The BW foreign community is very lucky indeed!
awesome tournament. was rooting for dewalt and eon. happy that one of my favorite won. hard work paid off!!!
congrats to dandy. awesome play as well. i hope we get to see some new zerg blood in the near future. very disappointing to see zerg players not doing well. looking at the foreign seen they are on top form
thanks to Rus_ Brain & Mr. Zero & our awesome casters ziggy, doc holiday and seriousity.
if all this covid bullshit is done with, i am looking forward to attending the tournament next year as an observer.
Thanks for an amazing tournament! Thanks to the players for the great games, Zzero for the production, and of course, Rus_brain for the tournament itself! I have to say, I really enjoyed the English cast as well, props to all three casters!
I was honestly surprised by Dandy's games. That style was very refreshing, especially in TvP. Good games against Bonyth and Dewalt.
I also didn't expect this to get so big. Thanks for the organisation and having another big offline event aside from ASL is definitely something to look forward to. Casters were really enjoyable as well. Please don't hire Artosis and Tasteless for the offline event next year. I enjoy the two but I also like to give other people a chance and imho all three casters here did a good job so I don't see why you would replace them.
Dewalt also said he would try to go to Korea. Not sure how well that would go. I know the top foreigners can take games off of Koreans atm. but that's online. Looking at the ASL games, there is still quite a gap. At least between ASL Ro8 (maybe even Ro16) and top foreigners. Not as pronounced as it used to be but still very noticable. That being said, I would still encourage anyone who wants to try to do so if it is feasible. It's going to be an awesome experience regardless of the outcome.
ZZZero and me have prepared two ending videos: A good ending that you have seen after the $15k hit, and A bad ending which we would have launched if $15k not hit. And now we can reveal both
No regrets! www.rcg2021.ru would have been converted into "Project discontinued":
It is worth to mention, casters did not know what the "source video production" will bring them (and you saw their reaction clearly when our Rusland drunk celebration was connected).

So cute and prudent, to have two endings. Everyone is glad it turned out the way it did but had it not - no regret, indeed. The tourney was amazing.
Great tournament, casting, games and everything.. big tnx to everyone who made it happened! Would be nice to see Dewalt and other foreigners tring to qualify for ASL.
The best online tournament done so far. This is not to compare with BSL, which is more an ongoing league and also is best in its category.
Overall production value, organization, prize pool and general foreigner skill were at top of current foreign scene respective levels. This is also the only real way to increase BW popularity over time, being by continues organization of high-end tournaments like that.
From both a player and viewer perspective, I can highlight professional tournament management including both early stages of tournament (promotion, qualifications) as final stages (stream production, commentary, communication with players). Lets all remember that this was scheduled as an offline event with finals at Russians Boss house itself. Thumbs up to him for fulfilling the promise of delivering such a vast commitment.
Thanks to Rus_Brain, ZZZero & rest of the crew and hopefully see you all in 2021.

as a viewer, i cannot do any better than echo this sentiment. this is truly a great time for foreigner bw and it is mostly because these titans are putting it on their shoulders and backs. many cheers to rb, zzzero and co
