Was hoping to do it towards the end of August, but looks like it will have to be in September.
The good news is an event is very likely to happen with a base prize pool of $300-$500.

I think there needs to be a concrete date set first and foremost and then plan around that. Right now it's just too much speculation to say "well, I'll come if it's on XYZ date." If we have a concrete date, then at least with some high certainty, people can say they will attend.

Obviously, there are a ton of variables and organizers should do what is best for them, but a lot of players made plans to attend a meet up at Dreamhack in Montreal, Sep. 7-8. I'm not sure how much overlap there is from the west coast, but I know that personally I wouldn't be able to make it that weekend, but would definitely come to an event that was after then.

I agree, if it's at all possible I think October would be better. I know 3-4 people that haven't posted in the thread yet that can probably make it in October but not in early-mid September. Either way, I'm stoked for a LAN and hope we can find a time that works best for most people.

I've thought about it and I would contribute a couple hundred bucks to the prize pool if it was later in September. I would also donate an original BW painting for the 1st place winner as well.

I also was planning on going to LA if the lan was in October (as I am going to Montreal in September on top of other family obligations I have). If there is another NYC lan in October I would 100% go to that as well.
