Hi everyone!
I just saw a "foreigner elo ranking" list and I am ranked very low as #115 player of the foreign scene. This kind of shocked me, although it doesn't surprise me, because almost all games have been played drunk or hungover and some with off races too. I am kinda pissed off that my name is showing there on this low ranking so we must fix this right now.
First here's some background info about me. I've been somewhere in the top of ladder on every single ladder I have ever played since WGTour times. I play top players just about every single day when I'm sober, which obviously none of are recorded anywhere, as I never thought those games on list would be either.
My current MMR is 2324(117-33) and have broken 2300 every season and had 2700 MMR on the first one which was bit different. Every season on latest iCCup I played I got to A+ rank, Fish newer version I got to high C rank and older Fish C rank also. Old PGTour I got to A rank and WGTour I was always somewhere at top with many accounts and finally won the WGTour Season 12.
So as said, something needs to be done, since I don't like my ranking. So hereby I present to you the Arcneon Challenge!
Rules:
I invite EVERY SINGLE player on the foreign elo ranking list to play a Bo5 vs me on Current ladder maps. CB/FS/Cross Game/Overwatch/Colosseum/Ground Zero/Medusa
Every round will begin with CB and after loser picks, same map can be played more than once.
(All 135 invited players are shown here www.rankgim2.webd.pro )
Default turn rate of games will be 20.
If the games are too laggy even with TR14 high, you will not get to play.
Normal iCCup rules apply.
About Streaming:
I will personally decline to stream any of my games, because as I said in every stream I've ever done, it lags my PCU a lot without lagging the game for opponent, so it puts me in disadvantage every time I do stream.
This is why I've only been streaming drunk games mostly, because then it's the least of my concerns.
If challenger wants to stream, he is free to do so.
If someone wants to stream games from replays, they are welcome to do so, every replay will be saved and can be made as a replay pack also.
Prizepool and additional rules:
I personally will offer 100$ prize pool for this "Tournament" with following rules:
- I Need to win 65% of the Bo5's to get my money back.
- If I lose more than 35%, I will put out the 100$.
- If I do happen to lose more than 35% of the Bo5's, the 100$ will be spent on a 1 day Tournament between the WINNERS in a bo1 mode.
- Prizes for this amount will be 50/30/20
- If there is additional donations or whatsoever we can change Prizes.
- All donations will be added to the WINNERS Bo1 Tournament
And as a final rule: We need AT LEAST 80 Challengers.

Just to clarify, you have to lose more than 35% of at least 80 Bo5s for you to sponsor one 100$ tournament?

@Bonyth - I am currently doing a no-alcohol deal with Naugrim, so I'll be sober for at least this month.
@Cryoc - Yes exactly. To put this in perspective for the Challengers, you need to play One Bo5 against me and then participate in One day Bo1 Winners tournament and I have to play 80-135 Bo5's.
If there are other sponsors for the tournament, we can put all their donations to the Winners Tournament no matter what happens. I don't need the money, I just want to prove a point.

well goodluck getting 80 people to play you. This isnt really free money except for the top3 who participate, IF you get 80 players and the end tournament happens, which seems unlikely at this point. Right now theres no incentive for anyone to play, especially those who would consider themselves not the favorite to win. If you really want to get 80, I suggest putting up a small prize for every bo5 like 10-20$ and forget the end tournament. Obviously the more money for each bo5 theres up for grabs, the more players would be willing to step up and play even if its likely they lose.
Also, if the whole point is to improve your ranking/prove that you can do better, have you talked to poegim about having this event recorded in his system? Not every event gets added so im not sure what exactly the criteria are, would be good to verify and then update results in the thread here regularly.
Cool initiative anyway, hope it works out. I would definitely play if the above changes were made

First I thought about just giving out the prize pool directly to the winners, but if I lose to 30+ players with 100$ prize pool , that would mean players get couple dollars each, doesn't make sense. So I figured the additional Bo1 tournament would be fun and quick way to get bigger prizes to the players. If you can present better structure, I'm all ears.
*EDIT* If players are more interested in other format, we can always change it. For example: You only play the bo5, and between all the winners there will be a straight up lottery on live stream. That way everyone would have chance to win it without the final bo1 tournament.
As said, all suggestions are welcome.
Also I am totally open to put out 10-20$ bets for the Bo5's if again, there is enough players to do the same thing.
I won't however pay 10-20$ to play you guys, no. I will make a 10-20$ BET with you guys if that's what you desire, but that means you put the same money out too. Like I'm not betting my money just against top5 players, but if we get 20-30 players or something I'm totally up for it.
In this format I presented to you, you CAN'T lose anything, you can ONLY win. And the way its played, you can win with minimal effort. Just one Bo5 and maybe an additional Bo1 tournament.
And to answer your question about the ranking improvement, I don't think it even matters after we get the scores from this one. I will crush majority so hard no one will ever forget it.

I think easiest way to do it is to just post each result as they are played and add replays there and at the end all games in one pack.
Example: Arcneon 3-0 Randomnoob
Replays <--
Example: Arcneon 0:3 Bonythfooker
Replays <--
And at the end just wrap all the replays in one pack.
This way it's everything is live presented as we go on and easy to update etc.

You also could make 10 tournaments with 10 dollars. i believe dewalt will play all of them since he is very actove and making commercials every hour on his twitch : D. And considering this fact that dewalt is top1 at this rating and you are gonna crush everyone, you will face dewalt in each final game of tournament. Winning dewalt brings you the highest amount of points. Other wins would be like bonus. And you will be top1

I know there are better players and expect to lose vs certain players in a bo5, I don't see myself as the best foreigner. But I most certainly don't see myself being 115th either  Just because I like drinking especially on weekends when ALL the current tournaments are held, I don't think this is my real ranking at all. And now that something like this is posted live I think this needs some action from my part.
I think this structure sounds like a lot of fun and will create a lot of games and with the contacts of all top players in discord it will make future tournament etc plans which I haven't released yet much easier.

Apparently you're respectively the 115th best foreigner while playing drunk.
That IS your REAL ranking because you ONLY play while drunk. Sober Arcneon's ranking doesn't exist as of yet...
Why not just play every tournament in the next month or two while sober and climb the rankings the hard way?

Haha :D Yes you are correct about some of it. I have been playing sober games maybe 50-150 games/week. As said, I can't stream these because of lag problems. Tournaments are always on weekends which I have taken still part of, but never thought someone is making a full record out of it for everyone to see 
Nevertheless, I will participate in all few tournaments we have going at the moment for the time being also.
I do still think this is a fun add to it, correct me if I'm wrong.
@CastrO You are added in discord to Challengers with couple others already. Preferably I would like to see 80 participants before start to guarantee a decent player pool, but if that's not the case then I might change the rules. Let's wait a couple days to see how this kicks off first.

TR14 high I figured should be the lowest we go to ensure at least somewhat pleasant play for both sides, not to mention that you can actually play the game somewhat properly xD I know TR16 works at least with Dandy & Terror, got to go case by case with each individual.
Here's more answers to how & why I chose certain things:
-65% I chose because looking at the ranking list, it seems very high %win with players more than a handful of games played.
-Win-Back-My-Money option I chose to maybe keep myself more motivated, I mean if I'm playing 80+ Bo5's.... :D
-Map pool I chose because they should be currently most played maps right?
-Bo5 method I chose so it would give somewhat a reliable outcome of the better player, not always, but mostly. Think it's a good amount of games already and will create a ton of games.
-Bo1 Winners Tournament I chose because as mentioned before, it made most sense to me how to payout winners without giving each a couple dollars. (Currently thinking about changing it to a lottery between winners, so they'd only have to play the bo5.)
-And 80/135 player amount I chose, because its only just over half of the list, seemed small amount to me, perhaps I was wrong.
-Discord I chose to get easily in touch with top players for the upcoming events. If all interested could join there, we could actually discuss about each thing to make it as enjoyable for everyone as possible.
-Oh and 100$ I chose because I'm a poor mf.
But yeah, all options are open for discussion

Yes, the turn out of 80 people is somewhat unrealistic, given that some of the players probably don't read here at all. If you want to give them incentive, maybe just split your money. 60$ and 20$ for 1st/2nd of your final tour, four times 5$ as lottery bonus. Or do some random shit like 10$ for most entertaining replay and 2* 5$ as lottery prize. The more lottery, the more incentive for low level players imo.

Actually I'm pretty sure most "top" players(and many below it) browse TL every single day, just because its the only platform to output information about SCR/BW Related happenings.
But I don't wanna force anyone into something they don't wanna do, and also I don't wanna do this anymore. I will not host anything from here on out, no more SM's, no more tours, no more KOTHs, no more sponsoring, no more streaming. I sent twitch my resignation to delete my account. From now on if I play, it will be with .my beloved friends and if I make anything special happen, It will be for them. So farewell folks and have great life, Bye
