I always assumed Where was on the lower end of players in terms of skills. It's a huge jump from there to the level where he 3-1-ed Light. Was it because he suddenly became good overall, or was it because his builds countered so well what Light did?

Was it because he suddenly became good overall, or was it because his builds countered so well what Light did? I could be wrong but my impression was that Light sorta choked after losing the second game. Where got in his head and Light ended up making lots of mistakes in the rest of the series. He kept playing standard and letting Where dictate the flow of each game, and seemed to be second-guessing himself a lot as he was never confident enough in knowing what Where was up to. Light is super good mechanically but has never been a strong BoX player.

At least it was remotely entertaining to read your frustration. Thank you for that contribution.

Thank you for that contribution. What makes it pitiful? It's basic, admittedly. Yet all you have to do is look at his mannerisms particularly after a loss but even in interviews before a match takes place to see what I'm giving as advice would probably be beneficial. If he had some swag he would most likely perform every bit as well as Rain. I know this particular advice tends to strike a chord with the TL crowd in general so I wasn't expecting to win a popularity contest by giving it.
