Actually, protoss were doing quite well against zerg in the past few months, no? Anyways, glad to see ggaemo pulling through. It's obvious that he put a lot of work into this.
So, it's basically 1-9, with single win of Shuttle versus some random lucky amateur.
i mean let's be real here, those protoss are definitely not good at PvZ. Free, Snow, Rain all more known for their PvT, Lazy, Purpose, Shuttle, Pusan all kind of just average, sub-par Protoss.
And they're up against EffOrt, Soulkey, hero who are amazing ZvPers. Shine and ggaemo are definitely more wildcard Zergs but Protoss have not really been respecting them as of late.
Let's be real here, the only good PvZer is Bisu, who lost two latest finals to Effort and Hero, respectively. And free, Rain, Shuttle are top 5 protosses (or around), just like Hero, Soulkey and EffOrt.
Rofl. They are not. You are clueless if you think free, rain, and shuttle come even close to the likes of Hero, Effort (and Soulkey).
Yes, you are right, I'm fool. Soulkey is so much better than Rain, that I should perform seppuku.

If you can say anything about Jangbi's PvZ it's that it's overhyped.
What makes you say that? I remember him being very got at making the exact right unit composition to crush lurker contains and recovering from hydra busts really well.

He rarely played vs zerg in both of his OSL wins. The first he had a Bo5 against Soo... In the second he basically lucked himself past Zero. Overall he barely had a 50 % winrate in PvZ during his hey-days (the last couple of KesPA years).

How did he luck himself past zero? Go and watch that set and tell me he doesn't have ee han timing.

ee han timing, lol. You might as well call it a last ditch attempt after being completely screwed. Or short: lucky.

So, maybe that game wasn't a convincing win, but games 1 and 5 were dominating by Jangbi.
Lols at how that Jangbi vs Zero series made everyone forget how underwhelming he was at PvZ overall. Goes to show that people remember endings as much as full stories . It helps that when Jangbi was on, his play looked spectacular at times. Like a super athletic player in the NBA who isn't very consistent, but when he has good games he tends to make a few plays no one else can.
With this PvZ talk, I mean, Outsiders is really zerg favored in PvZ as well, it was back in the day as well. I am really surprised to see it being used as such an important map right now.
It is kinda fun but so weird and unbalanced.
Stork just looked bad. I don't know how much of it was bad luck and build order losses but man, as a Stork fan, that was not fun to watch.

Stork was disappointingly bad in these games. I don't know if he was just overconfident in his late-game skills or what but seemed to me that he played way too passively and let opponent cut corners to economically overcome him.

Yes but just because youre a "top 5 protoss" doesnt mean your matchup against zerg is that much better. Plus the protoss race right now doesnt have many good players and their PvZs all suck. Like great, you can be a damn good PvP and PvT, and as long as your dodge your shitty PvZ matchup you'll be in the top 5. Being top 5 might not be entirely exclusive from a bad PvZ, but it doesnt mean you'll have a good PvZ.
as mentioned in the stat drop above by cerb, 54% is nothing to be proud of compared to the top 5 zergs who all have well over 60% ZvP.
People who want some comparison with older toss legends pre-337 here:
Do note that these guys played in an obviously tougher PvZ age. The Three Kings + ZeuS all started playing in an era where zergs swarmed from the qualifiers up from what I've read; they needed to be great PvZers almost by necessity.
