Last year when I played broodwar for gemleague 2, there were a few decent Australian players around.
I played a few games with some of them. I won some and lost some. There was no real chance to determine who was better.
Well now there is.
The Australian Rumble is offering $100 AUD for the winner of the tournament.
This tournament will consist of 2 parts.
- Single Qualifier hosted on ICCUP to select the top 4 players as per the standings at the end of this current season. Which is just over 2 months away. (plenty of time for everyone - including me to get some practice in)
- Final Playoff. The following weekend.

EDIT: 17th June
I just became aware that you can buy ladder points on ICCUP. I was unaware of this. Those that do so, will not be allowed to participate in the final tournament.
Obviously other forms of abuse such as too many games vs the same players - particularly in the last few days will also result in a ban. Get games in early, so that there is no rush towards the end. And finally, use common sense, if you are wondering if something is allowable or not, it probably isn't.

Top 4 Australian's as ranked by ICCUP at the end of this season (ICCUP Season 32 ends around August 31, 2014) will go into the final playoff.
Well that's up to him. His account is currently ranked in the top#4 so, if the end of this season was today. Then yes he would qualify for the finals.

The ICCUP season 32 has come to an end. Time for the Final Tournament to begin.

Channel: AusRumble
When: Saturday 6th September - 4PM AEST (Brisbane Time)
Format: Single Elimination.
#Games: Both rounds are Bo5
Maps:
- Round1 - Game1: Python
- Finals - Game1: Fighting Spirit
- Other games: Losers choice from the ICCUP map pool (not already played in that round)
Seeding - Standard 1v4, 2v3. So;
(A) Legionnaire_au vs StupidKangaroo
(B) bd.redsun vs glarex
Extra
- DQ after 30 minutes.
- If subs are required they will just slot into the highest ranked position

Would be nice if you ask players to upload replays directly on iccup grid so the community can easier download them, just remember to report game by game.

StupidKangaroo couldn't play on that date.
bd.redsun didn't show.
Which left Legionnaire vs Glarex to battle it out for the Australian Rumble crown.
