SHOULDN'T HAVE SPLIT, YO. Whether or not people decide to "promote" themselves and move on to C-ranks will be on their own accord, unless they've hit C-rank on iCCup. If you, dazed_spy, and whoever else decide to move on, take into consideration what will happen to your team and don't try to force others to move along with you. Unless there is a rigid promotion/relegation system in place, unless it goes to extremes, no one should be made to leave.
