Given that this is the SECOND time SlowBullets has been involved with cheating (first being with Babo/minister in CRTL1), I move that he should be banned from this league. | ||

A bunch of shit went down yesterday and, like, Slowbullets did a little bit of playing on someone else's account for the D-rank league, because you know, that shit is serious, especially when you're like "I'm the best D ranker alive!" at the end. Not putting down the D-ranx players, but why would you cheat in that league!? JESUS. But if you cheat, it has serious ramifications. I don't like disqualifying people or kicking people out from stuff, but it's impossible to ignore what happened. Slowbullets was aware of cheating happening on his team during the CRTL. Originally, I thought about kicking him from the YSL, but I decided not to. It didn't feel right. I always want to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, today, he was revealed to have cheated in DRIT by playing on ImAtTheBeach's account. I didn't immediately decide to ban him because I wanted to see his response. Maybe he'd go "I didn't cheat, beach played his own match and it was legitimate." and also, I didn't really see what the evidence was yet. So I checked out the situation, and it was mildly amusing in a trolltastic way. I mean, the line "k-pop-loving-virgin-boys" was funny. I mean, it was appalling, but funny at the same time, kind of like when you watch someone get hit in the balls, and you know he's in horrible pain, but you can't help but laugh. ANYHOO, Slowbullets is disqualified from the YSL. Even though he cheated for someone in DRIT, cheating is wrong. I don't care how cheaters try to justify their actions by saying "Nobody cares about BroodWar anyhow", or "You take this stuff too seriously.", or whatever they say to downplay what they've done. Cheating is wrong. Don't fucking do it. If you feel compelled to cheat, just stop playing. Just say "Guys, I must withdraw from this league because I cannot trust myself to be honest and play fairly." rather being a dirtbag. Why do we even need to have this talk? You guys know right from wrong, right? And by the way, to the cheaters, if you care so little about BroodWar, why did you cheat to begin with? Don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question. The truth is, everyone wants to win, because winning feels good. Losing sucks. I know. Nobody wants to be a loser at something they practice so hard for. I think everyone wants to feel good and hear people say "Oh, so-and-so is so good!" and think they can get to that by taking advantage of what they see as loopholes in the system, thinking they will never get caught. A lot of times, cheaters don't get caught. Or at least, not right away. I've never known any cheater to cheat one time and then let that be the end of it. Once they realize they can get something they want by cheating, it becomes something they do over and over again, and as they continue, the probability of being caught increases until it reaches 100% and there's no way to cover-up what they've done any longer. Don't do it, it's not worth it. | ||

SlowBullet was banned for playing a dirty game for ImattheBeach in DRTL RO32 that happened on July 13th. SlowBullet played Splax in the YSL RO32 on July 21st. It was not until August 8th that SlowBullet was banned from YSL. If actions were taken right away, SlowBullet would of been banned before his match against Splax on July 21st. | ||
